Among of the experience you would want to enjoy, ask the guide to turn off the lights! The darkest moments and silence, best experience ever!

Culturally, geologically and historically interresting, but it’s not so big and is not very tourist friendly/safe (steep steps to climb with nothing to hold on to, 4000 bats living inside the caves and some very low passages where you almost have to crawl). Remember water, because it is very hot and humid inside the caves. Be aware that Google Maps does not show the correct route to the caves - you have to drive entirely into town first and and then go north a bit (10 mins drive)

A nice place to visit with friends and family. A historical place with all kind of views, drawings and shapes. Affordable prices. A must visit place during holiday and weekend. Accesible all season of the year and from all places of the Country and nearby countries especially Kenya.

Honestly dont understand the good reviews, we went here because there is NOTHING else to do in Tanga, it is overpriced (more than 20.000tsh for tourists, of course... Locals only 2.000tsh) and the guide is not included (+10.000tsh) caves are ok, I guess... But the price its ridiculous for what it is... The worst of this place is that they have a babboon attached to a tree by a rope and when you ask why they have it like that they say because its dangerous? Of course it is, is a wild animal that should be free! Dont waste your money people...

The Amboni Cave, consists of Stalagmites and stalagcites. Found in Tanga Region, near Tanga - Mombasa highway. The caves have a history, Okello who once used the caves as a hiding place. Kindly visit to enjoy the beautiful scenery and also know more of its history and some local uses of the caves by the natives; Hope you will enjoy.

Naturally pure and heavily fascinating scenery. There is a collection of routes when you enter inside that you won't miss to see. The cave is huge and deep inside. There are also mysteries surrounding some routes when others are even forbidden to seek due to earlier historical horrific events that happened

One of the most extensive limestone caves in East Africa. The caves were formed about 150 million years ago during the Jurassic age. Its a very attractive, marvelous and amazing place to visit in Tanga. The caves have different natural shaped structures inside that represents many things in real life. Environment is very calm and quiet. Its very use to student who learn geography courses to learn more and get some scenic views about limestone rocks. Price ia very standard and affordable. Visit today, Enjoy!

(Translated by Google) A complex of caves hidden in the jungle, connected by countless corridors. Abundance of flora and fauna. Numerous lianas, spiders (smaller and larger) and strange centipedes. 😳 When going to this place, you don't close your mouth. Numerous villages, variety, smells and views. Being in Tanga you simply cannot not be here. For a small fee, a friendly guide will show you around the cave. I RECOMMEND 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 (Original) Ukryty w dżungli kompleks jaskiń połączonych niezliczonymi korytarzami. Bogactwo flory i fauny. Liczne liany, pająki (mniejsze i większe) oraz przedziwne skolopendry. 😳 Już jadąc w to miejsce buzia się nie zamyka. Liczne wioski, różnorodność, zapachy i widoki. Będąc w Tandze po prostu nie można tutaj nie być. Za drobną opłatą po jaskini oprowadzi was sympatyczny przewodnik. POLECAM 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

It’s beautiful place from outside and as any other cave from the inside. Normally there is a gate way before the caves where you have to pay but as we went there was no-one, only if you want to get in to the caves

(Translated by Google) Cool caves. The cost for foreigners is about $ 11. It’s dirty inside so it’s better to take a change of clothes with you. I like it! (Original) Классные пещеры. It was actually better than expected. I thought the caves would be much smaller but it is quite a journey to go around. Nice guides also to show you interesting formations and a bit of the history. I higbly recommend a pit-stop here if you're around Tanga.

Huge cave system just outside Tanga. You get a guide who will tell you about the caves, some myths and point out structures that resemble animals, people or sex positions, quite entertaining. There are bats in part if the cave, but except for the smell, they won't bother you. It's quite huge and many different tunnels, some barely passable, some with 7 m up to the ceiling.

The Amboni Caves are the most extensive limestone caves in East Africa. They are located 8 km north of Tanga City in Tanzania off the Tanga-Mombasa road. The caves were formed about 150 million years ago during the Jurassic age. It covers an area of 234 km² They are very strange caves when you inter, they are huge and massive. Some of them they are even nearby country. Always when planning to visit Tanga, think about visiting Amboni Cave.

👍👍 Great place to start your visit to Tanga. Although under renovation, the team did a great job to share te history of the holding, that of Tanga and Tanzania in General. The view of the port and sea is amazing and not far from the fish market (best time is around 4pm to visit the fish market). Kud...
