Vedavyas, is a secret place, for the Confluence of three rivers, named Sankh, Koyal and Saraswati, forming one of the most sacred river named Brahmani. The existence of Brahmani, is found in our old sacred scriptures, Puranas. The great sage Vedvyasji, has also spent, some of his life time here, and thus, it is named Ved Vyas. It is located about 15 km from the Steel City Rourkela, in the Indian state of Odisha. Here, a 24 hours continuous live kirtan is taking place since 27/04/1990. Apart these, there is a Vaidic Ashram, shamshan Ghat and Gaushala. An ancient Shiva temple with banyan tree, which, according to Shastras, is in Sunya. There is a small hillock on which exists the dwelling cave of Maharshi Vedvyasji, which was directly connected to the Brahmani river. It is a must visit place in Rourkela.

Famous Vedvyas temple after Muni vedvyas who used to pray there in a cave, it's a Famous temple in Sundergarh district. Other temple also there . The environment is devotional. It's also the place where Brahmani river originates . You can see the beautiful mixture of 2 rivers and 2 different types of water mix and a river originates.

Named after the great sage Vedvyas - the man behind the composition of the Hindu epic Mahabharata, Vedvyas Temple in Rourkela is located near to the confluence of Koel, Shankha, and Saraswati Rivers that all together form Brahmani River. Since the temple is remarked as highly religious, every year, thousands of pilgrims flock to this place to solemnize thread ceremonies, marriages, and other rituals. Rituals of last rites are also performed on the banks of the river. Apart from all this, the temple witnesses a large gathering of devotees on the day of Shivaratri. During this time, a 10-14 days long fete is also organized at this Hindu religious site in Rourkela. As per the beliefs, there is a cave on the riverbank, referred to as Vyasa Cave, which is said to be the place where the sage Vedvyas wrote Mahabharata. However, due to the soil erosion, the cave is not accessible now. The stories also say that there was also an underground tunnel in between the cave and the river where sage Vedvyas used to pay homage to the god without getting in the notice of anyone.

Missed the "raw" atmosphere as everything has been polished to saturation. But the place has been developed beautifully. Love how additional accessible places have been provided including the park and the garden.

The temple is situated at such a beautiful place where Three rivers are met. Here, views are so beautiful 🤩😍 and you can recognise the rivers 's paths by looking deeply., It looks like 3 different colours of water coming from 3 different direction. The temple is on the high, there are a Vedavyasa gumpha and santi mandap and some commodities of Vedavyasa which was used by him. There is also temple of Shiv ji🙏🏻 and Ram bhagwan 🙏🏻.

Beautiful temple beside the intersection of multiple rivers. However, take care of the transportation here, you won't get many autos/cabs from here.

The best known and one of the most famous workship place and attractive spot in Rourkela. In this place you will get most of the god and goddess Temples and vedvyas temple and cave. All the Temples are well built, well neat and clean and have good space. The best part of this place is place said to be that vedvyas written mahabharat which makes it main attraction of this place. The environment of this place is so pleasant, peaceful, clean and so lubricant. This is best place to go with family. I am suggesting you that if you ever been to Rourkela please visit once to this place and do workship in this place you will definitely get inner peace. I have been to this place 1 times and I am very happy by there representative people as they keep clean their place .

Krishna Dvaipayana (Sanskrit: कृष्णद्वैपायन, romanized: Kṛṣṇadvaipāyana), better known as Vyasa (/ˈvjɑːsə/; Sanskrit: व्यासः, romanized: Vyāsaḥ, lit. 'compiler') or Vedavyasa (वेदव्यासः, Veda-vyāsaḥ, "the one who classified the Vedas"), was a legendary sage portrayed in the Hindu epic Mahabharata, and regarded by Hindu-tradition as the compiler of that work. As a Shaktyavesha Avatar (śaktyāveśa-avatāra) of Vishnu, he is also regarded by tradition as the arranger of the mantras of the Vedas, as well as the author of the eighteen Puranas and the Brahma Sutras. Best place to enjoy nature beauty and many temples are there. You can find that floating stone that was used to build bridge to SRI LANKA. And it was the place where the great MAHABHARATA WAS WRITTEN.

This place is considered a holy place where 2 rivers join and Vyas ji resided and known to be place where ganesh ji started writing with his broke teeth. Its a very peaceful place to sit infront of the river with lots of shade like beautiful structures to sir. They have recently developed a part behind the temple on the mountain and also below it which is a great location to hang out or take photographs.

Tranquility Amidst Divine Abode: A Review of Vedvyas Temple Complex Nestled along the serene banks of the Brahmani River in Rourkela, the Vedvyas Temple Complex stands as a testament to spiritual devotion and architectural splendor. As a devout traveler seeking solace and cultural enrichment, my visit to this sacred site left an indelible impression. Upon entering the temple complex, I was greeted by the soothing sounds of the river's gentle flow, creating an ambiance of tranquility that instantly put me at ease. The strategic location of the temple offers a breathtaking view of the Brahmani River, making it a perfect spot for reflection and meditation. The architectural marvels within the complex are a sight to behold. Dedicated to various Hindu deities, each temple exudes a unique charm and spiritual aura. From the towering spires of Lord Shiva's abode to the intricate carvings adorning the walls of the Goddess Durga temple, every structure is a testament to the rich cultural heritage of India. One of the highlights of my visit was the main temple dedicated to Vedvyas, the revered sage who is believed to have compiled the ancient Hindu scriptures, including the epic Mahabharata. The sanctum sanctorum exuded a sense of reverence, drawing devotees from far and wide to seek blessings and wisdom. The temple complex is not just a place of worship but also a center for cultural activities and community gatherings. Throughout the year, various festivals and rituals are celebrated with great fervor, offering visitors a glimpse into the vibrant tapestry of Hindu traditions. The serene surroundings, coupled with the divine atmosphere of the temple complex, make it an ideal destination for spiritual seekers and tourists alike. Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat or a cultural excursion, Vedvyas Temple Complex promises an enriching experience that will linger in your heart long after you've left its hallowed grounds. In conclusion, my visit to Vedvyas Temple Complex was nothing short of awe-inspiring. From its picturesque location to its majestic architecture and spiritual ambiance, every aspect of this sacred site resonated with a sense of divinity and grace. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking solace, enlightenment, and a deeper connection with the divine.

First time in Rourkela for me and for someone who is not much into temple visits, I really liked this place with a lot of nature in and around. There is a huge lake beside and one can come here to spend some nice time by the waters after darshan.

Located on the banks of the Brahmani river, the Vedvyas is situated at a place where three rivers unite. The river is a perfect place for religious sanctity filled with serenity and harmony. But, the place is not clean, so there is not enough space to sit and rest.
