I went to this restaurant with my wife when I was visiting Seattle and staying in Olympia. We ordered Paneer Bhuna and Tandoori Roti. The paneer bhuna did not taste good. It did not even had salt and it was very dry. I had high hopes and not this restaurant did not meet my expectations.

Great Indian food in downtown Olympia. The restaurant is large and easy to get a table without anybody near. Food is authentic and flavors are spot on. Food is not at all greasy or over salted like many Inidan places. We got Med spice level which was too mild so will go spicy next time. Good sized portions that are reasonably priced. Attentive and helpful staff if a bit serious.

This place was incredible during the pandemic. They still have the best curries and Naan in the area. Most amazing Tikka massala and Lamb Vindaloo I've ever had. Try the lamb masala, mixed tandoori grill, vindaloo and amazing gnaan. Best value in Olympia plus best food!

This place is so good and the service outstanding. From the outside it doesn't look like much but once you are in you feel so welcomed like family. Food is great and very friendly service. Prices are affordable and the food size is enough to share with multiple people. I highly recommend this location.

My first visit to the Great Cuisine of India was an unquestionably fabulous sensory experience! As an adventurous diner, today I had the pleasure of treating my palate to their Lamb Vindaloo served with an order of Naan bread, and it didn't disappoint. Simply put, the Vindaloo was a revelation - flavorful, balanced, and perfectly spiced. The dish was a seamless fusion of aromatic spices, tender lamb, and delightful heat. Paired with the soft and warm Naan bread, it was nothing short of a culinary masterpiece, a clear testament to the skill and passion of the chefs here. Not to be outdone by the food, the restaurant ambiance was equally compelling. Displayed around the restaurant was an array of beautiful artwork that genuinely enriched the dining experience. Moreover, the staff at Great Cuisine of India were notably friendly and attentive. They effortlessly made me feel at home and enhanced the overall experience with their hospitality. Summing up, my first time at Great Cuisine of India has been an absolute pleasure. It's certainly set the bar high for my future visits, and yes, there will be many more. If you're looking for the authentic taste of Indian cuisine and a delightful dining experience, I can't recommend Great Cuisine of India enough!

The food was tasty and prepared in under 10 minutes. My friend and I were treated to a high quality service by the two female attendants present at the time. I really enjoyed the Lamb Rogan Josh- I got the spiciest version they could muster. That was in addition to two garlic naan breads. Overall, my friend and I really enjoyed having lunch here. We will be visiting again! Thank you, keep up the great service!

Man I was craving some good food and had seen this place for years. I guess I was missing out this whole time. This food was amazing I had lamb vindaloo and my wife had lamb masala both were amazing, but if I am being honest I liked hers a little better. Don't skip on the garlic cheese naan bread it's worth the extra cost.

Butter chicken supposed to be buttery. Consistency was like the watery. There was no creaminess at all. Table we wanted to sit was occupied by the employee. Aloo naan was good 👍 I hope, this review will help to improve the quality of the restaurant.

ordered delivery from doordash, and the experience was underwhelming. spinach salad was a container of plain leafs with cheese crumbles at the bottom and ranch for almost 5$. garlic naan was okay. "mixed grill" came with very little lamb or shrimp, barely covered the bottom of container, and came with an inedible brown log of mystery meat. lamb entree was a bit tough and container was barely half full. ($20+each). "two orders of rice" (one for each meat dish) came in one medium sized to go box. reviews were high, but i unfortunately would not spend $50+ here again.

Food was pretty good. We ordered the lamb samosas, garlic naan, palak paneer and butter chicken. Our favorite was the palak paneer and garlic naan, which was delicious and freshly made. We were hoping to do the buffet that is advertised but it is not available at this time.

GET THE BUTTER CHICKEN!! The first time I came here, I got the classic shrimp curry, and it was decent but didn't particularly wow me. Then I got the butter chicken and it is ASTOUNDING. I've had it several times since then and look forward to going again! it's very filling, the meat is tender, and it's so so so flavorful. I love the texture. garlic naan is great too! I cannot recommend it enough.

We ate here two nights in a row, and we aren’t staying anywhere near it. The drive is 1000% worth it. Both days the food was hot and SO flavorful. It was perfect. The roti and naan were amazing and my friend said she would be dreaming about that meal.

We had dinner here on December 28, 2022. I ordered very mild chicken biryani and my husband ordered medium lamb biryani. The cook made the chicken medium and the lamb very mild. We told the waitress about it. She left for a few minutes, came back, and said the cook denied making an error. We did not make this up. The cook just didn’t want to remake anything. Atrocious reaction to our concern. Also, the restroom was filthy. I cannot recommend this restaurant. Grade= D-

I used to come here all the time and the food was AMAZING!! Recently though, the recipes must have changed. What used to be really amazing, crunchy veggie samosas now look like they were thrown in the air fryer and are not good. Same with the butter chicken, just doesn’t taste right. I miss the old recipes :(

Love the food here! I got the Bharta - Eggplant dish (spicy) comes with rice, Veggie Pakora, Garlic Naan, the Mint and Tamarind chutney are delish. Picture is about half of the food, easily two meals 😋

I bet the lunch Buffet is the way to go here I liked the saag naan. The palak paneer was very nice. The cheese pakoras are not my thing but maybe somebody elses. The rice was decent. All said and done I would definitely try it again. Nobody's Perfect. Okay here's the brutally honest part: The mixed grill. Not good. The lamb was tough and partially Gristle. The shrimp are freezer burned. The chicken looks like it has a bite taken out of it already and is oily and dry somehow. Steamed vegetables are not cooked evenly (green bell pepper??). The "sauce" is like French dressing that has broke. The cheese pakora are like eating lightly salted fried cardboard. The mint chutney? I didn't know that anyone made mint chutney with dried mint. I'm going to chalk this up to a learning experience and if and or when I go back I'm going to play it safe and just get the aloo gobi. Keep in mind the mixed grill is the most expensive thing on the menu at $23.99. I'm guessing there's 6 oz here. This entree is insulting to everyone. I decided to treat myself and get Indian/Pakistani food delivered. I even paid extra for doordash to get it here faster. It was still piping hot when it got here but the things that were wrong with the mixed grill? There's no way whoever prepared this would eat this. I'm out a grand total of $75 and the only thing here that I couldn't have prepared better myself was the naan.

Have been going here for years and it's excellent every time! The korma is my favorite, but the saag paneer, butter chicken, curries, everything I've tried has been super flavorful and delicious. And if you ask for it spicy they make it spicy. Plus the staff is friendly and the food comes out quick. Truly a downtown staple!

We had the most amazing lunch here this afternoon. We were sad to see that the buffet is no longer available, but it makes complete sense. We ate family style instead and were super thrilled with the dishes we ordered. The Mango Lassi was some of the best I’ve ever had. The only thing we didn’t enjoy was the lighting - the blue lights make the menu super hard to read. We’ll be back!

Loved the food. When I am back in the area, I love to eat here. Great price for the food and great service. A must place for people to eat. We loved it.

Fair warning; There is a Gratuity Charge Great atmosphere with delicious food and friendly workers. I have eaten here three times now and they never disappoint! The only thing is if you come in with 5+ people (from my experience) you will have to pay a gratuity tip but it is definitely worth it. I've always tipped $5 here so I end paying about $30 per meal. Pretty pricey but there's nothing wrong with treating yourself from time to time.

My husband and I were in the area for the day and went here without knowing anything about the restaurant. It was delicious! We each ordered one Naan (he got the cheese naan, I got garlic), and shared a Chicken Tikka and a Veggie Korma. The service was great, taste of everything we ordered was amazing. It was a pleasant surprise.

This was my least favorite Indian food ever. We accidentally ordered from here instead of a different Indian Food restaurant, total mistake on our part. The three cheese Naan was sub par at best. Shredded cheese, not the good cheese like other places. Riata was runny, no real flavor. Samosas were extremely spicy…. Why? Just why??? Butter chicken was OK at best. Chicken was from frozen chicken, not tender like we’re used to. Mint sauce was runny and more like salsa than mint chutney. If this would have been my first Indian food experience, it would have been my last. Definitely NOT the delicious, vibrant, flavorful food we are used to from other places in the area.

This is our favorite Indian restaurant. My daughter decided on dinner here for Mother's day and they did not disappoint!! This is 2 individual meals and a "meal for 2". And the service is always great here. We love them!!!
