This location sucks. There is always a huge line and the employees because they always only have 1 employee running the register. There used to be chairs for you to sit in while you wait for your food to be made and I’ve noticed that ever since they got rid of them orders take longer. I literally ordered one grilled cheese and it took my entire 30 min lunch break for them to make it, this never happened before even on their busiest days. You get what you get, it’s definitely not fine dining and I only eat there cause I work close to it.

Need to have better place to put dishes and trash. People waiting for to go orders, people are picking up their order, and then getting their beverages all in same area. That area should function better. Need better flow. Don't go at a busy time! Never found place to place dishes.

This evening I went to the local Panera to pick up 14 boxed lunches for a local homeless shelter. We had called earlier in the week to confirm that this location offered curbside pickup, which they assured us they did. We placed the order online (including a tip). I arrived right on time and called to let them know I was there. The person who answered the phone said they would bring them out "as soon as they were done". I said okay (their pick up window is 15 minutes, to be fair) and settled in to wait. Fifteen minutes passed. Then twenty minutes. After half an hour, I decided to call to make sure nothing had gone wrong... but no one answered the phone. I called twice more, but still no answer. I was getting pretty anxious, because I had committed to delivering these lunches by 7:45. (Also cold, because it was 39 degrees out and I'd been sitting in my car for 30-odd minutes at that point.) Finally, I realized I was gonna have to go in. I strapped on my best mask and went into the crowded store. I asked the the person at the kiosk if my order was ready, and he stared at me blankly. "I've been waiting for half an hour, and no one answers your phone," I said. "We're really busy," he said, clearly feeling that was explanation enough. "Ohhhkay," I replied, "But I really need to drop this stuff off, and it was supposed to be ready between 7:00 and 7:15." He asked my name, conferred with some co-workers, and wandered off to the back, where he emerged with a neatly bagged and boxed order, that had obviously been ready the entire time (I don't know what the first person who answered the phone was talking about). He brought it out to my car and I tried suggesting one more time that they should really turn their phone's volume up. "We were too busy to answer the phone," he replied, and walked off. Anyway, the point of this story is don't use Panera's catering if you have any need for curbside delivery, accurate pick-up times, or even half-hearted customer support. (I wasn't looking for an abject apology, but *some* acknowledgement of my extremely chilly, wasted half hour would have been nice.) I can't speak to the quality of the food, but their customer service is straight-up abysmal.

The food when it can be obtained is great! On multiple occasions we stand at the counter and do not get any service. There are many employees present but it takes a very long time for anyone to attend to the customers that are standing at the counter wanting to order. This morning there were two employees standing together filling one glass of milk! Another couple was behind us and she asked for a manager because we had all been waiting quite a while. She was told that she could order from the kiosk and she responded if I wanted to order from the kiosk I would’ve done it! Finally became disgusted and we all walked out. This happens time and time again! Definitely needs a restructure at the Lacey Panera.

If you enjoy high prices, small portions and half a sandwich worth of ingredients stretched into two, this is the place for you. Always a disappointment and I dont know why we subject ourselves to this every few weeks. From the grill (steamed?) cheese sandwich (pictured) that isnt grilled at all, to the $9 scoop of macaroni and cheese in the giant bowl that they pawn off as a 'large' to the steak sandwich with barely enough steak to fill half a sandwich, this place is sure to leave you wanting more. The folks making the food clearly do not care, and have been given clear instructions to save costs at every opportunity. Sad :(

I could literally show up at opening time in the morning and they probably still wouldn’t have any soufflé stock and not intend on making any more for the day when it’s still so early and then the employees give you attitude when you ask how it’s possible. In my experience, their ordering system is always either not working or doesn’t accurately reflect stock and they’re always out of large cups. I canceled my sip club membership because I am really sick of giving business to this place given all the issues I’ve had.

First time ever eating at a Panera restaurant. My husband ordered several things and I ordered the Bacon Turkey Bravo from the kiosk and waited about 15-20 minutes since it was probably during the late lunch rush. During that time we heard a sudden outburst of profanity from what I assume was the kitchen. I was worried someone may have been injured but nothing else ever came of that. The description of my sandwich: "Oven-roasted turkey breast raised without antibiotics, Applewood-smoked bacon, smoked Gouda, emerald greens, vine-ripened tomatoes, signature sauce , salt and pepper on Tomato Basil Bread." I got my sandwich and it was a beautiful, hefty meal; however, 2 bites in and I got a big bite of what tasted like cinnamon roll spread.. My mind went to a sandwich being make on an unclean surface. I went to the counter and asked if that was an ingredient meant to be added to the top left corner of the bread crust. Disappointedly, the employees seemed to be quite unfamiliar with their own menu. I was told that it sounded gross and they'd remake the sandwich. The employee who began construction on my new sandwich then loudly announced (she had made the first sandwich) that the cinnamon topping was supposed to be on the sandwich but I had already been encouraged to throw the original sandwich away but someone else. The sandwich builder asked me what kind of bread and I told her whatever she recommended. Throughout this second waiting period, the entire cinnamon or no cinnamon continued to be debated by the employees. Other customers looked as concerned as I felt while they were also waiting for their orders. Eventually, I was handed a new sandwich and left to my husband who was waiting in the car. Much to my disappointment, the builder of my sandwich who seemed to be the authority on ingredients, made for me a sandwich on white bread with crust that couldn't even be broken away let alone bitten into, some turkey, tomato and mayonnaise. Now, I'm all in for a nice crispy crust but this crust was literally so hard that I actually thought she had accidentally left a utensil in the wrapper until I opened it. Despite the other ingredients that are meant to be the identity of the sandwich I originally ordered, were left out completely, it was the bacon that was the selling point for me though I didn't receive it on the second sandwich at all. Side note: my husband said the chili was delicious.

Food is always very good. Service and cleanliness are ONE star. The carpet is not only old but dirty, tables were dirty. I will not be going back because I am afraid of what their kitchen looks like.😒

Ordered a soup and a flatbread pizza online to pickup curbside. I requested a pickup of 5:55pm. I arrived on time and clicked the I'm here option. Then I wait and wait. Finally I call the store, no answer, just a recording. Finally at 6:20 I go in. The manager was leaning on the counter. I asked where my order was , he pulls it off a rack for uber pickup. I tell him how long I waited at curbside while my food sat getting ice cold. He says "my bad"....never again.

Compared to the Panera across town by the mall, the staff at the pickup counter at this location are deeply unpleasant to deal with and it really needs to be addressed by management. My experiences with them have been almost universally terrible. Usually involving staff straight up ignoring me and whoever else is waiting for their order even when the order is complete and an arms length away from them. My experience today with "Parker" was exceptionally terrible and led to me writing this review. He has an attitude better suited to a prison commissary and shouldn't be allowed anywhere decent people might have to encounter him. It doesn't cost you anything to be courteous and there's no reason to look through people and pretend they don't exist, especially when it's easier to just hand them their order and let everyone get on with their day.

This was a good location to go but not now. I had to order twice and still did not get what I ordered. When I stated that was not what I ordered after waiting 20 minutes for a Togo meal. His solution was I go back to the front to order it which would be an additional wait. This is the third and last time I will have an issue. There are too many sandwich shop to waste your time with this one.

It would be great if: 1. An ingredient list was posted on the wall upon entry for customers to review each item including bread. Helpful for those on special diets such as dairy free, vegetarian and vegan. 2. The owners would go over and above to offer alternatives for sandwiches such as “chicken or hummus” for those dairy free, vegetarians and vegans. 3. Training for order staff so they are aware of what is available for special diets.

The food was lackluster at best. Grilled cheese had unmelted cheese. French onion soup with croutons and shredded cheese. Foot long sandwich and they didn't even cut it in half. No one cleaned any tables the entire time we were there. The place gives depressing vibes.

We love Panera. We don’t have one in Alaska. Great service the young lady that helped us was great. (Special needs) my DD finally got her grilled cheese and tomato soup.

Guests are usually ignored, when you pick up an order you placed online they don’t even acknowledge you. When you ask for assistance they act as if it’s a nuisance. Food is usually decent but I avoid this place due to poor service.

I'm a big fan of Panera, just not this particular store. This store consistently makes their sandwiches and bakery goods significantly smaller than other stores, most notably stores in Gig Harbor and California. By comparison to the store in Gig Harbor, the sandwiches and scones tend to be about 25% smaller by weight. I thought this was a one-off but I frequent both stores quite often and measured the items on a scale to be sure. And sure enough, it's every time. I wrote a letter to corporate Panera and provided information and I got back the generic "We at Panera take great pride in our....blah blah...." The months that followed show NO change. The Lacey store continues to provide smaller product.

Food was great as always ... Food not brought to table (I assume due to short staff. Understandable these days) but when I didn't hear my name called either, my food sat til my soup was cold ... (and it still tasted good)

I got horrific food poisoning from here. I’ve had the same sandwich (chipotle chicken avocado melt) at Panera’s all over the country but THIS was the one time I’ve gotten sick. I wonder if the teens loudly cackling in the back are being supervised for food safety? Hard to imagine they’re being careful with the amount of noise I heard.

Please for the love of God start filling up the salad dressing cups more than. Even when I pay for extra dressing or salad toppings you still skimp out on it. I promise you, its not coming out your pay check.

Customer picks up own food and carries it to table. The customer also clears the table. Hints why I don't tip. The customer does everything but cook.

Food is amazing every time and in every location I have visited so far. When you have a business with multiple locations, you hope you can deliver the same quality experience in all of them. Panera delivers. Little noisy, but then where isn't these days?

I never have been a big fan of Panera Bread but I went because my daughter asked us to go. We had an enjoyable time and our lunch wasn't too bad but I wouldn't have gone for any other reason. And probably won't go back anytime soon.

Incredibly friendly staff! I came in for my chicken noodle soup and cookies (I am addicted) and each person greeted me and gave me very kind compliments on my tattoos. The food was very good, that is a constant here, but I left feeling pretty good too ❤️

I love Panera. I stop here regularly on Saturdays. The food is amazing! It's a great alternative to fast food burger places. My son and I both love it. If we're going out to eat, Panera is always our first choice if there's one nearby. It can be a little spendy, but it's well worth it!

Well Panera as many of us know has some of the most tasty food for sure. The staff is always kind and respectful the food is amazing but the price is a bit much in opinion. However I still go back and enjoy myself. Thanks Panera and all employees for all you do .

Worst service at any Panera EVER!!! My order was simple. Ham and Cheese on Pacasha cheesey bread it was a to go order and when I opened it it was a dry turkey with spring mix and tomato. At least they got the no onion part correct. Bad day at Panera. I will go back but be more observant next time

Two of us went to the one in Hawks Prarie/Lacey area. The lady at the till was nice. We each ordered a soup and half a sandwich. Mine was a bowl of squash soup and half a steak sandwich which i added an avacado. Both were absolutely tasty and worth our 45 minute drive. I was glad I'd had the bowl of soup as it was very tasty. Additionally i left my cell phone behind and when i went back they had it safe behind the counter which i really appreciated. I definitely will return again.

I was quite surprised with this being my first time to Panera. I expected a basic sandwich shop, but it was better. Sit down meal quality at fast food speed. The price was fair given what is offered. I will come back.

I stopped to grab a bite before grocery shopping. I enjoy Panera, ALOT Today the young lady working was one of the best, sweetest greatest cashier I've had the privilege of taken my order. She really showed she enjoys her job and it shows.

I'm a big fan of Panera bread company. Being on the road a lot I end up having to stop and quickly get something to eat then get back on the road. For fast food restaurants four stars is my top rating. Now I must note my sandwich was delicious. However, when I opted for the apple as a side being that I am trying to be more health forward. I was quite surprised to bite into the apple and immediately noticed how poor the quality was. Especially being that I was in Washington, the Apple capital of the world. Honestly, the apple was mealy, mushy and almost had a texture more reflecting of a pear.

Decided to go to Panera on a lunch break just for the cookies, having no experience with their food. Luckily I didn't need to wait my whole lunch break. Their new chicken sandwich was alright, tasty but salty. Their cookie was delicious, if cold. Overall, not a bad place to go. Will probably try again when they're less busy, but I do hope their other food is better.

I am enjoying the bacon and tomato grilled cheese. It normally comes on Rustic White bread. That was out so I am trying it on Sourdough. It's delicious! A vanilla cinnamon roll is for dessert. Yummy! Always a peaceful place where I enjoy late lunches-early dinners.

I had the Sausage & Pepperoni Flatbread pizza and it was just ok. The pizza sauce was the issue, it lacked any "zestiness", just not flavorful. Wouldn't try any other pizza unless the sauce is changed.

The top fast food restaurant for quality bread sandwiches yet they can’t commit to a dedicated corner and quality gluten free(GF) bread for celiacs or as a preferred option. Come on already!

  • 1/5 april 4 months ago on Google • 2 reviews
This is my first time trying Panera, the Mediterranean bowl with chicken was really disappointing. Too much sauce, not enough chicken. The bowl lacks flavor and the bread on the side was dry and tasted old. The food is way overpriced for what it is. I haven’t had food this bad in a long time. They try to pretend to be healthy but not even the salads or bowls are healthy with the excess of sauce.
