Service very slow....long q maybe tis is their tactic. Seller also shuld not use bare hand to pick & test the pau temperature & at the same time collect money fr customer. Very disgusting...will not buy again unless improve.

The price of the pau had gone up so much that makes it not worth the queue especially when it's your turn they only had few or none left. Yes it was very famous in tanjung sepat however the time had come when it become more commercialise and it's going to be lack of quality. Nice to see long queue but not my type of call to queue for some bao under the hot scorch sun.

The 豆沙bun still ok but the vege & 生肉 below expectation(not much filling). There was less than 2 person in d queue, and yet, u ned to wait ( like ages) for the guy to go pack ur buns.. Note: 叉烧和kaya was sold out the day we went.

Many years back, you can order and get your pau fast despite crowded but now the queue was long and need to long wait . I notice there is no separation of line for buying frozen pau only. Not worth of queuing under the hot sun just to get those pau. There is another side at the main road that can get similar pau. Doesn’t necessarily have to get from here.

The steam buns (or paus) are delicious and packed with adequate filling. The fillings come in various types of vegetables, meat, etc. A must try is the preserved vegetables or mui choy paus. There is no seating in the shop, so expect to stand and eat or just pack the unsteamed paus for home consumption. There is this guy who seeks packed coffee just outside the shop too. I bought the local coffee and it does make a good brew. See last photo.

Disappointed and below expectations overall More expensive than KL price The filling portion is too stingy and small for the price, there are more "pau" rather than the filling itself (ex: peanuts, redbeans) The pau size is also not big for the price and pau texture itself doesn't taste like "handmade", more like machine made pau.

Hai Yew Heng Pau always packed with people, unless visit on non peak time. Sometimes just gave up the queue. Worth the queue? First time probably yes. Pau special and good as a gift to friends and family too.

This is a traditional Hainanese Pau Shop.Weekends and public holidays visitors are queuing up in drove to buy the Hainanese Pau when they come to Tanjung Sepat Fishing Tourists Spot Kuala Langat Selangor Malaysia. The Pau are reasonable price costs RM4.00 each depending what type of Pau you are buying. The taste is good 👍 and usually visitors will buy more than 10 Pau each because of the queue and time spent on the queues. It's a must patronising vanue for any visitor to Tanjung Sepat Fishing Tourists Spot.

Super over price and the pau taste like so horrible bad. Ordered the raw meat pau but was given with the Char Siew Pau. Never have such an bad experience on the Char Siew Pau before and worst cost RM4 per pau. Will never buy from this place anymore. All tourist should avoid this place.

Not worth the effort if purposely travel there just to buy pao unless you pass by cos you need to go to certain attraction. I purchased 2pcs of red bean frozen bun, don’t know why both also tasted burnt which I can’t accept. Not sure if it is normal.

The shop is not opened on a Saturday 9.30am,10am still not open. Not worth waiting any longer for third attempt to purchase at the shop. Went to the shop next door and bought keropok udang, fishballs, dumplings, snacks. Had our breakfast fried prawn fritters, fishcake & spiced pork meat roll at the opposite stall tasted average.

Yup, I'm doing that tourist thing... Haha. A few reasons why I ended up here: (1) I was already driving along the west coast via route 5, (2) mui choy bao is uncommon in Singapore, let alone those that are delicious, and (3) the wife likes mui choy. The guy who took our order was a young chap, and while he's not particularly friendly or helpful, he wasn't rude to us. Since we're tourists and we didn't know what's good to have, we ended up buying 1 each from the top row of the menu (shen rou, cha sao, mei cai, vegetable), as well as the "new item" the ikan bilis bao. The place is pick-up-and-go, so there isn't any seating available. Just as well Kwo Zha B is nearby - the laoban (boss-owner) allowed us to eat the baos with the drinks we ordered. As with some of the comments from other reviewers, I also thought the filling was quite stingy. Price-wise I cannot complain because where I come from things are way more expensive. Besides, I happen to really like kosong baos (the taste and texture of Malaysia's baos beat Singapore's), so the filling is just a bonus to me. The best 2 items are the mui choy bao and the ikan bilis bao. I lack the vocabulary to describe the taste sensation, so I'll just say that they are both delicious, both the filling as well as the bun itself. I cannot give 5-stars because the filling isn't generous - it's like how McDonald's patties have shrunk over the years: you just taste the filling rather than eat it heartily. The vegetable bao is pretty good, but nothing worth driving so far out of the way to get. The pork bao (shen rou bao) is decent, but I have had better in Johor (tastier and more generous). The char siew bao is disappointing. In the unlikely event that I ever pass through Tanjong Sepat again, I will just get the mui choy and ikan bilis baos. And maybe buy some tidbits from the friendly aunty directly across the shop. Side-note to the bao connoisseurs, I have no qualms eating the skin... They all taste good and I don't eat enough to get heartburn (from indigestion). My wife, however, prefers peeling the skin because she's my better half.

梅菜bao and vege bao is good. Avoid the Char Siew. Q can be long and very poor and slow ordering and payment process.

As it was our first visit, we purchased every type of bao to try. Would only recommend Mei Cai Bao and nothing else. Every other fillings (peanut, green bean, vege) is below par and the pao skin is about an inch thick with very little fillings - please avoid. Only grab the Mei Cai Bao as it was less common elsewhere and actually tastes good. Bao skin is soft but their ratio of bao skin to filling is just terrible. Wasn't cheap either.

Tasted Meat and Kaya Pao, not bad...just that it's slightly pricey

Their bao still delicious but the bao is not serving “hot” anymore ; would prefer to eat hot bao as it’s tastier. One question is while we are queuing and one local lady just drove with motorcycles and ordered directly ignored us whom are in queue. The seller still taking her order and ignoring us whom came first. Q: LOCAL doesn’t need to queue here?! Not happy with the service, it should be first come first serve. This has to be improved.

😠 Horrible service...I must say. Don't know why people patronise this place. I will never patronise this place ever again, even if it was the last place on planet earth. 1. Ordered Kopi O kurang Manis, and it came with full of sugar. 2. Placed an order, but wanted to change to something else hardly 5...
