Hands down the BEST meal I had in Zanzibar. What an unmitigated delight. The place was a little hard to find. Fair warning, the road gets rough in the last 100m. But, boy was it worth it. Pretty little garden and the most wholesome tasty meal we had in Zanzibar. If it wasn’t for location, I would have eaten here everyday. Definitely reccommend!!! Can’t promote this place enough.

Really great food. We went there twice on our trip and each of the plates we had were just amazing. Bit tricky to find but the Google directions are accurate. The couple running it are super lovely, please go visit them :)

An absolutely exceptional gastronomic experience where you would not really expect it. It's hard to come across a restaurant if you just wander around, but it's worth being guided. A charming environment and a family that runs a restaurant. And the food! Always fresh and perfectly prepared. They only offer what they have fresh. I recommend visiting even if you do not live directly in Kizimkazi.

Hidden treasure of Kizimkazi. Not easy to find but worth the effort. Meals are delicious. Very clean with a mellow atmosphere. Expect to wait around an hour for the food, but this is standard on the island, so relax and hakuna matata.

Without doubt the best dinner we have tried in Zanzibar. It really is worth the short walk from the center of Kizimkazi. Don’t get dissuaded by the dark aisles after the sunset - navigation works correctly.

Very nice food. Freshly cooked after you order. Great garden. Very friendly owners. Nice menu including great local food, fish and beef.

Great host, great food, lovely place. We go there again today to try something new. No wifi, but that doesnt make it any less attractive. Definitelly reccomment.

Long waiting time while they cook your food. I suggest to order in advance, so they are ready for some agreed time. I have ordered the green banana in curry sauce, which was very tasty. Fish was fresh, but bit stiff as for me.

Don’t miss it! 👏🏻 If you are in Kizimkazi, definitely stop by. The best meals we had in Zanzibar, in a cosy garden, warmly welcomed by a lovely family. We came by walking from our hotel (promised land) for both lunch and diner, it is 1747492% worth a 8min walk! A great and authentic experience, hope to be back soon! Ahsante sana!

The restaurant is located far from the beach, but the environment of the restaurant is great. It has a great garden, really beautiful. The first problem was the waiting time. We waited mote than 40min. The second was with the food. I had a fish soup that I am sure had much more pepper than it was supposed to have. I had to add water just for eating it, because we waited for more than 40 min and I was really hungry. Also the calamari, I had to splash it also with water, to clean the pepper because it was really hooot. Please note that I do eat hot foods. To be honest though, my friend had sweet potatoes with fish. The fish was hot too, but the sweet potatoes were excellent.
