Breezes was amazing other than one factor that hugely impacted my family and other groups. The food. My mother was vomiting every night due to the food. I myself have a pretty bulletproof stomach as being someone who has eaten street food in India, and have been near puking and stomach aching for 2 days. Another group had to have a doctor come to the hotel to make sure he was alright as he was puking for 3 days. The sourcing of the food needs to be improved. The rest was amazing. Service, people, housecleaning… etc. amazing. Honestly due to the food, staying here will ruin your trip. I’d advise you to choose elsewhere.

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! Boy did this place spoil me. My first few days there and i must admit i was BORED! It was an adjustment phase i suppose. I couldn't sort how to get to town which wouldn't cost me a limb and it was also raining excessively to everyone’s surprise. Once I figured out how to do daily escapes and got acquainted with locals, the trip and my stay here became a life changer! I Just landed back in Germany & wish I could live there. Exceptional staff. TOP NOTCH. Accommodating, friendly, well trained. Great breakfast every single day. Can even bring extra to your room or staff will deliver it. The buffet dinners were my FAVORITE! The Swahili buffet made me SO HAPPY! Great live entertainment and just good calm vibes. The watersports team was my favorite people to visit daily for great conversations and to learn to swim. I wanted to see marine life so badly! One of the guides took me under his wing and taught me how to swim and snorkel. Seeing those reefs and amazing fish, after only several lessons because of Hassan's kindness & patience took my life goals levels up several notches. I trust that man with my life! I was only supposed to stay here ten days but was lucky to extend a few days with an upgrade because these people just know how to do their jobs! Breezes is a 5 star resort BECAUSE the predominantly Black and local staff are so good at what they do. Please tip them regularly and well. This hotel could not be what they are without them. As a solo traveling snob, I am NOT easy to please. This trip I got SO LUCKY with the reasonable rates and this team was professional from email til the time I left. I had two favorite star servers, Dora and Rajabu who are just shiny examples of why this place is so great. ALL of the staff are highly professional people and we could all be so lucky to stay at a place they are working at. The location is off the beaten path and getting local transportation into the nearby town might be tricky, but not impossible and worth the effort. You can walk, but good luck. The sunburn is serious and im saying that as a brown skin Black woman. This is not a party hotel, but if I can return for my birthday with friends in the summer, it will be. 😁 I'm already planning a Xmas 2023 visit back to Zanzibar, but unfortunately I can't stay here this go round. I am so spoiled that I am looking for the Breezes vibe with other places but coming up short. The only thing I didn't like here was my experience with the dive center which is separate from the hotel, though located on the property. Other than that, the place is well taken cared of, on the beach and is exactly what you need when trying to unwind. The internet is really not great here so plan around that. Also, look up! You can see some constellations in the sky. Absolutely amazing! Enjoy your stay! S

A nice resort, but didn’t “wow” us. We went for the latter half of our honeymoon but it didn’t feel special. Rooms - felt dated. Massive bed, which was great. And wonderfully cool from A/C. But lacked the finer touches which would make it 5*. Tea bags & sanitary products not always replaced. Shower has washing products dispenser from plastic box which felt budget. Grouting not tidy. Wardrobe slightly broken. Razor charger coming away from wall. Just felt like the room hadn’t been retouched since it was first designed. Maybe the higher end rooms are much nicer. Thankfully you don’t spend that much time in your room on a beach holiday. One thing that particularly annoyed us was the one bottle of water you get per day in the room - after that it’s $2.70, which feels a lot for a necessity in that heat. There’s water at the breakfast buffet but not lunch or dinner. We felt some judgement when we then brought our refill water bottles filled from earlier in the day rather than buying another bottle at dinner. We had recently come from safari where we had unlimited filtered water, so maybe set our standards too high. Service - everyone very friendly & attentive! Great breakfast servings of tea & coffee. A mix of a la carte dinners & dinner buffets. Very good spread for buffet I’d say, but the a la carte nights felt much nicer - I wish all dinners were all a la carte. Breakfast buffet works well. Great to be checked in on by bar staff while on the beach. Feels like an ever present tip culture, but maybe that’s a US influence vs UK lifestyle. Generally everyone very friendly, maybe some judgement felt at times around not tipping every time on a $3 bill. We found the cocktails to be expensive for what they were. Saying that, the Zanzibar Dawar was delicious! On one day we did the Sultan Bath & couples massage & that was lovely! Followed in the evening by the Tides 2 person private dining experience. That felt really “honeymoony” & would very much recommend! Location - it’s a lovely looking beach & sand to sit out all day. The beach itself does a cool reef walk during low tide, but lots of sea urchins so not sure if a great swimming beach. There are prettier beaches out there. The general resort is kept really clean! Lots of people maintaining the gardens all the time. Lots of tour options to do around the island, not that we did any as we just wanted to beach ourselves. Overall, we absolutely came back feeling very relaxed from the beach resort, which is what we hoped for. I would recommend the resort for a holiday, but not so much for a honeymoon destination.

We could not have asked for a better stay than ours for our honeymoon. Breezes Beach Club is a well-run resort on the east side of Zanzibar. From the moment we were picked up from the airport to when we left, we were pleased with the support provided by the staff whenever we had questions. The staff is extremely helpful and kind (Liz and Emmanuel at the reception!) and the extra activities added a lot of fun and interest to our stay. The resort itself is new and always kept clean. The massage therapists were amazing, and the food is simply out of this world. Every night, we were presented with a rich menu that was fresh and tasty. I highly recommend Breezes Beach Club & Spa to anyone considering it!

We spent 5 nights here after a safari in Ol Seki Mara, Kenya, and we are so happy we did! This resort is absolutely stunning, staff are outstanding and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The half board option was perfect for us, meaning we could choose what to have for lunch from an a la carte menu or bar snacks menu instead of overeating at a typical resort buffet every day. Drinks were also always available to purchase with staff available any time you wanted to order. It was also easy to tip when signing for the purchases with option to add a tip on each receipt. Staff were always available to help but everyone was extremely polite and not overbearing. Prices were very reasonable for the large portions, and drinks were also fairly priced with local beverages being much cheaper than imported ones. The food was 10/10, and even the dreaded dinner buffets were exceptional. Dinner set up changes every night throughout the week with 3 sit down meals and 4 buffet nights. We also did a diving experience at the Rising Sun diving centre, and this was a highlight of our Zanzibar stay. Really reassuring and professional staff there. As honeymooners, we also had dinner at The Tides one night which is a small restaurant on the beach available exclusively to 2-4 people. This was great but make sure you arrive hungry! 6 large courses plus drinks were a bit of a challenge for us. I think perhaps they could charge a bit less and serve less food. We only visited the spa for a short complimentary treatment but wish we’d booked more. Really beautiful setting and lovely therapists. Overall - Beautiful grounds, stunning spa, pristine beaches, warm welcome, outstanding food and many small surprises during our stay made it the best honeymoon we could have wished for. We’d recommend Breezes Beach to everyone looking for a relaxed escape in paradise.

This is a review for the Water Sport Centre located in Breezes Hotel. We did snorkelling, windsurfing and a reef walk with Hasan. He was an excellent and knowledgeable guide for the snorkelling tour (it's better than the standard ones as the boat goes further north and the current carries you southward). The reef walk was great and I wish we had more time exploring! It would be even better if all guests were briefed to walk carefully and not disturb any wildlife as it is a fragile coral ecosystem. Windsurfing lessons were very good, going through the basics and proceeding to turning (tacking) within about 2 hrs instruction. Would highly recommend Hasan for all activities.

Great resort! The best value is the exceptional personnel of the hotel at all points. Reception (ALI,made us feel so relaxed),room service( Haji and all the mrs,we have all we need and it was so clean everything in the room and all over the resort) waitresses (Maria),the spa,the Manager ( Kamila) so explanative. The atmosphere of the resort is amazing. This resort is mostly for viewers and not for swimmers, although it has center with all the water activities. Nice food, quantity and variety every night. Very kind and helpful personnel!!!

While the location is a bit longer than 1 hr from Stone Town and the spice farms, it is a very beautiful and perfect spot on the Indian Ocean. The service is exceptional, including Edward at the bar. Mtwana provided some of the most impressive dinner service I've had...Eva is so kind and loving. Just a wonderful experience all around. The dinners are fantastic. I'd definitely recommend Breezes for a relaxing and lovely vacation.

The resort was absolutely beautiful. All of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The reason why I did not give this 5 stars is that they make you pay for your own water. Water is a basic necessity that should come along with the resort especially when you are paying for half board. We slept in tents in the Safai and they managed to provide free water so we really found this odd.

The hotel is located well on the East Coast giving you perfect Sunrise 🌄☺️. The Staff are very professional and friendly. The food is of different variety and we liked the set up as well. You can have the Chef prepare something special for you. The facility has Gone Green and we love that they are taking care of nature and ensuring sustainable tourism. The rooms are spacious and clean ensuring maximum comfort. Recommended for the entire Family and Friends. Solo travelers will have a good time as well.

Breezes is the perfect family destination in Zanzibar. Fantastic accommodations, food and service. Andrea, the manager greeted us with a warm and friendly welcome and everyone on her team followed her lead. The beach was the perfect spot for all the activities they offer as well as a place to e place the low tide pools filled with starfish and other creatures. We'll be back.

Wow what can i say.... Best holiday i have ever had. From the minute we landed to the day we left to go home we were welcomed with such friendly and kind people.. Arriving at breezers we were welcomed by their manager Evette and we were given welcomed drinks and relaxed while they sorted everthing out with regards to booking us in... We were there for honeymoon and got told they had upgraded us to a bigger room.... We were so suprised and so happy... The food was absolutely incredible, with so much flavour and so much detail as well love put into every meal.... All the staff were also so incredible, so friendly and so welcoming.. We met Omar which was the head barman he was so so amazing goes out of his way to help and serve you and such a kind man.... We were also served by Janeth and Esther which were also so amazing... In general all the staff go out there way to help with anything... Rooms and facilities are so beautiful and well looked after..All the rooms were clean and spacious.. Excursions through the hotel were so awesome we did swimming with the dolphins, blue lagoon and safari blue and all of them we so so incredible no words to describe it.... There is not one bad thing i can even mention all our boxes were ticked and were beyond our expectations... We were so spoilt and thank you for making our honeymoon so special... A holiday we will never forget...

We had a lovely 5 night stay at Breezes Hotel! Andrea and all the team there made us feel special from the arrival to the departure during every second. That was the perfect end of our honeymoon after a safari. The team is always kind, friendly and always willing to help to make your stay even more perfect. The location is impressive and the beach and landscapes insane. You have great dinners: food and service, as well as breakfast. Moreover you have plenty of activites, parties and shows to even enjoy it more. We can only say thank you, and hope to see you again soon! Just let me add: reading some reviews, and seeing some attitudes from some of the guests during our stay, they would deserve even 6 stars!! People can be so rude, arrogant and narcisist.

I would like to first say the staff were kind and lovely. But as a management of this place: the AC wasn’t working and loud. the food wasn’t great for the money you pay. the room was not top notch amenities like shampoo and lotion not 5star quality of curtains made us not sleep properly food in the buffet not labelled properly cost of taxi was a rip off full of mosquitos it was a 3-star establishment disguised in 5-star facilities considering we spent 1000£ for 2 nights it was not worth it at all We didn't accept the bottle of champagne that was given to us to say sorry, especially that quality (we left it in the hotel room).

Perfect hotel for a honeymoon. We had a suite with an ocean view. It was perfect!!! Thank you for all the special attention (bottle of wine / breakfast near the ocean). Thank you to all the staff who are really nice. And finally, a special thanks to the hotel manager, who is always at our service!!!

Absolutely beautiful resort with beautiful rooms, great service and food. The pool is very nice and relaxing. They have scuba diving services on property. We loved hanging out in the evenings having shisha in this beautifully Moroccan looking area.

This a beautiful resort. Many of the buildings are made of natural materials (tree trunks and palm leaves) and surrounded by lush tropical gardens which gives the place a lovely feel. The beach at the front of the resort has very fine, almost white sand and is very quiet. The staff are super nice and the service levels are excellent. The food was good quality with many local specialities to choose from. The rooms are simple and comfortable with air conditioning. We had a great time in this vision of paradise and were very sad to leave.
