Very good eye hospital, looks really really nice, classy. It is mainly specialized in Retina, cataract, Glaucoma, Orbit and Oculoplasty, Cornea, Refractive surgery, Squint, Ocular oncology, pediatric Opthalmology, opticals and opthalmologic medications. They receive most insurances in the country such as NHIF, AAR, Jubilee, strategies and GA insurance. It looks very very modern and spectacular with state of the art diagnostic tools, specialized consultant doctors, can even treat some conditions that can't be treated by the Opthalmology department of Muhimbili National Hospital. I haven't received care so far but the first impressions of this looks really really promising. PS: hamna foleni sana kama other centres, they open 8AM-8PM except on weekends, Saturday 8am-2pm, and they don't open on Sundays.

The services are perfect only that when given an appointment one should not wait more the half an hour to the Dr. Otherwise the word appointment loses its meaning to the patient next time I will come late with a motion I am on time after all. Apart from that services are perfect from my view of point.

I have been a patient here at Dr Agarwals Eye Hospital in Dar es Salaam since it was founded. Being a Medical Specialist myself, I can be an ambassador of this hospital by saying that the customer service is superb, the Eye Specialists attending patients here are very, very highly qualified, providing high standard eye care and surgeries that are otherwise not accessible elsewhere in Tanzania. I have been operated twice here successfully, I have been diagnosed accurately several times here and my conditions ( including retinal ) were rectified. I am familiar with the past medical experience of the top Eye Specialists here at Agarwals Tanzania, they are of world class. Here every patient is in good, reliable hands.

This review is long overdue but rather late than never. In March 2021 I had a retina detachment whilst travelling in Tanzania. One option was to fly back to South Africa, take the risk that I cannot fly for 3-months, and then return to Dar es Salaam, or have the operation done in Dar es Salaam. Well I went to see Dr Dhalla and he assured me the attachment can be done there. So 2-days later my eye was done and for 3-months I had to make do with the silicone oil in my eye. Back in South Africa the oil was removed and the surgeon informed me that it was a fantastic job done on the attachment. In fact it was so good I can see better now with that eye than I could see before the operation. The staff and facilities at Dr. Argawal's Eye Hospital are fantastic. Yes, you can wait a while for a consultation but I have never seen a consulting room that is so busy. All the staff are calm, professional and everything happens in an orderly fashion. It was a great experience.

The customer service attendants at reception are rude and not helpful at all. You may have a fast track insurance but you will never get any fast track service. Typical waiting time is around 3 hours or more. Be prepared.

The hospital has good customer care, i just called to ask if they accept NHIF card and they responded nicely that they do accept card. believe they also give best treatment.

The waiting time to see the Doctor needs patients to be honest(work on it) The customer service is awesome from the lady at the reception Annastazia 👍and there was another lady with short hair Eliza I think don't remember her name gave me some relief drops and very informative on what's next. The waiting is never ending. This is the second time we ve been here, both the times we had to wait for 4 hours. Its a clean hospital with good doctors

Four members of my family have been treated here. They have received very good treatment and results. Don't worry if you have to wait for many hours to see the Dr. It i worth it.

The problem with this hospital is the long waiting hours, because I arrived at 12:26 in the afternoon until 14:20 in the afternoon, and I did not enter the doctor for two full hours waiting.

Very disappointed in the service - despite having an appointment, we had to spend hours waiting. Defeats the purpose of having an appointment. This is something the team at the hospital really need to work on as reflects poorly on the hospital as a whole.

A nice clean hospital, however everything comes with a downside.. The waits are unacceptable & absoloutely horrible. Staff are not supportive, till you make noise apparently things happen. If this was considered & handled well. This clinic would be a good one.. However for now.. ill keep to my 1 star rating..

This is my first time to visit the this hospital it might be too early to comment but it might be also too late if I could not share this .The customer service is excellent ,thank you Dr S. KASSAMAL you did a wonderfull treatment to me and all the staff(I don't know the names) whom I met big up to to you all I really appreciate .

The service is very very slow, you really need to work on it, but doctors are good for eye treatment plus the hospital is clean and neat, I gave 1 star because of very slow service, it's hard for us all to sit and wait for 5 to 6 hours especially for old age people

A)Its high time now to provide health education to visitors just 30min before clinic commencing even by selecting days, the education should be on eyes B) If possible the service should be extended up country eg Mwanza . This eye hospital is fantabulous!! The staff has been absolutely amazing!! From the cleaners to receptionists, nurses, doctors.... Their customer service is on point & some. One of my fave members of staff is Khairoonnissa. She's been very helpful & never tires from my questions re my niece's eye treatment during all our visits. When I went in I had my own idea of what I needed for my eye. The doctor talked to me about my option and advised me something different. He was very honest about what would happen if I went ahead to do what I thought was the best for my eye and advised me on a better way forward. Also I like the fact they don't find it hard to mention my full name😊 trust me it's the most annoying thing when you are called by a wrong name😌

I was diagnosed and treated for diabetes related swellings in my eyes.Though initially expensive, it was worth it. Services offered by Professional and Supporting Staff at Dr. Agarwals were very good

It is nice hospital for it standards.I have few concerns about your services so that you can make it better. 1)Appointment; I made appointment through your website, when I reached there @0925hrs none knew about it.I tried to explain but they told me to follow the queue.I follow the queue it took me 2hrs to be done with service. 2)Services; You tried to provide good service for 80%.Everywhere I was passing I could see good employees are working there the only problem was reception the lady was not serious on here job,not only that but there was a nurse her name is Sophia.She like to be seen to everyone as if she is the boss.I felt bad when she triated bad a cleaner.That cleaner was smart enough in her head to panic.All in all I loved two people for their service.A)The lady at spectacular and the ophthalmologist who gave me the service were the best.The guy who took the vital signs he did his best but the hospital didn't have the 3D seeing aid.

It's one of the best hospital for eye without any doubts but they should consider have small canteen where people can buy tea or coffee and something small to eat, or soft drinks, because even with the appointment it cannot be predicted hours of waiting can really be long, especially those for diabetes it can be a aproblem.

There cannot be such a disgraceful appointment system, they make people wait for hours.

Keeping lord ahead, I would recommend Dr. Kazim Dhalla. Having experience in his treatment.

Wonderful experience...I got back my clear near vision immediately after the short time surgery! Dr. Dhalla and his Team..very proffesional! The suggery theatre is equipped with state of the art equipment! The staff very professional and Humble! Keep It Up!

5-6 hour wait is NOT normal. This is by far the most appalling hospital experience I have ever had. The favouritism as well? Save your money folks and go else where…

Very poor customer service, I stayed on registration desk almost an hour, staff are just making stories pretending to be busy, patients are sleeping no services, very disapointing for a big hospital like that.

Service is not bad although there should be some improvement especially where appointments are concerned. It can take a while to see a doctor.

You have the best service and great discipline staff, there are few staff who needs some customer service training. And you need to provide WiFi free service to your customers as it gets bored sitting here for long and there are lots of people waiting for treatment. You need to look after your regular customers, I think the visiting fee 60,000/- is a lot as they have to visit every now and then, if it’s ok for you people you can come down to 40,000/- or 30,000/-, as your customer undergo treatment medicine etc. please look into that if you don’t mind. Very unorganised, if you know the lady who calls out the names then yes for sure you will be prioritised otherwise all day you will be at the clinic

The hospital is clean and neat, however services are too slow, you come in at 8am you get to see the doctor at like 9.30 or even 10 am, even if you paid for the appointment based service.. if you have any investigations you have to wait again for hours Personally not happy with my Dad's treatment, more than 4 years now he had his cataract operation done but no resolution of symptoms, everytime we go to see the ophthalmologist he says everything is fine, sends for more investigations and medications, but the patient still does not have clear vision. Theres never a clear explanation of whats wrong with the eye. There is a need for better and open communication with the patients.

Agarwals has very friendly staff and the place is nice and clean. the waiting time can be very long at times and it's bit pricey but the service is great.

Proud of the reception I got from the Nurses and Dr Lufunga, I really love you. For sure, eyes like new!
