Smallest airport I've ever been to. Long waiting time. Welcome to Tanzania where you will familiarise yourself with the term pole pole, meaning slowly slowly. Had a huge issue here as someone from South Africa and I couldn't withdraw enough cash from the ATMs using my visa card and i bank with FNB. It was stressful. You land and immediately walk off the runway straight into the airport. It's a very tiny airport but its the gateway to one of the 7 summits (Mount Kilimanjaro). Make sure you fill in the 24 hour surveillance form online before u even get to Tanzania. It will speed things up a little bit, it costs 10 usd. You'll then recieve a QR code that u can show them at the airport. It's mandatory and allows you to get a rapid test on arrival which is a nasal swab. You'll have to complete other documentation as well. The logistical side of visiting airports always sucks.

Extensive, big, clean and manned by good customer care personnel. Check-out is pretty simple and there are lots of local taxi service men around. The only thing worse are the paperworks to be filled: I would suggest they provide the papers for passengers while still on the flight to ease the work at the airport.

The airport is small and right to the point. You will board/deplane right on the tarmac, which is something I always enjoy. The airport offers pretty good food accommodations, no complaints there. Tanzanias are very friendly people and take life on the "pole pole" side, meaning they take it nice and slow, so I recommend always showing up pretty early just to get everything sorted out. πŸ‘πŸΌ

They have really upgraded the airport. They have duty-free, vending machines, souvenir shop, a cafΓ© and other typical airport shops. The staff are incredibly friendly and patient. I was late for my flight, and they reopened the flight desk just so I could make the flight. I am very grateful for the KLM team there.

A good regional airport with limited options in the restaurant and duty free departments but passable all the same.

Terrible Airport! On arrival long Covid rapid testing queues, then longer passport check queues after almost 18 hour flight. Why do they need to check my passport again at the exit, once my luggage is clear to leave the airport? Too many airport employees who are slow and useless. 17th Jan departure at security check, I had 3 Cadbury chocolate bars - a gift packed in my carry on bag. Security man made me unwrap the chocolate bars after I told him 3 times they're gifts of chocolates, then he made and watched me eat one! This seriously hiked my blood sugar. The airline computer system wasn't working and all travellers were stranded for at lease four hours as the queues got longer and longer. After manually checking us in for free seating and hand written luggage labels. My checked in bags arrived a day later, damaged and missing some expensive items. Tanzania get serious, this isn't good at all for your tourism industry!

Pretty empty and not much to do. But quick to pass the border check and security. There's a caffe and a few shops to buy you souvenirs at even though choices are quite limited...

I paid a visit in one of the international airports in Tanzania. I was amazed with the hospitality and the beautiful infrastructures plus clean and neat environment. Welcome in Tanzania Arusha😊

Relatively calm airport with speedy customs procedure. The transport to and from Arusha is on the higher end though, sometimes up to USD 70.

Decent airport, staff was professional, no long delay clearing emigration on arrival. Nice facility.

Small decent airport. Too much controls for those who arrive and those who depart, and even controllers don't pay much attention to monitors. The results are just useless queues and a lot of mess at the scanning position without a real goal. Service at the inner refreshment point is the slowest I have ever seen

Clean and very efficient. Not so busy so check in is fast. Free internet available. Only downside is they still use the physical immigration cards. So you have to spend some time filling in your details..

Small airport. Visa process can be confusing for different cultures but the local agents do there best to guide everyone to the correct lines. Must have patience. Two currency exchange banks at exit/entrance.

Small but good airport. Stable wifi, there is comfortable seating after checking in and going through security check. It is part of a restaurant but u can easily purchase water/tea/ something to eat and get yourself a nice spot with charging! There are souvenirs shops. I did not check the price. Everything is after baggage check and check in. I would fly this airport again just because of how comfortable everything is.

Nice little airport, but that’s about it. Deboarding by minibuses, then the immigration line takes forever, and I had to pay a bribe so the officer would confirm my online visa application that wasn’t yet granted.

Clean and good place but the ground handling staff not really helpfull. And maybe its normal in Kilimanjaro apo, flight at 19.35 and check in counter open at 18.15.
