Our stay in Zanzibar was amazing. The only thing which was not very nice was the room (chalet) - zero facilities and bed is not comfortable, room is very small, don't book the cheapest room, they have family rooms much better. But when you wake up in tbe morning with the ocean sound and see the ocean from your bed - you forget everything, all things which are uncomfortable. It is a paradise. Great escape from everything. Food was good, staff also. Problems where with the shower and hot water - sometimes water was not there

We are just completing a 14 day holiday at the Kinazi. The staff here are amazing. Friendly and kind and nothing is too much trouble. The beach here is stunning and the seas crystal clear. Nacho who runs the hotel is a lovely guy who always makes you feel special. We will come back here one day and i would recommend the Upepo Beach to anyone.

All the hotels were fully booked and we end we up having to drag out bags down the beach at nearly midnight in search of a room. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. 3 guests came to complain about having no water to shower while I was waiting at reception but they also received no help.
