Endless rolls of grasslands as far as the eyes can see. This is as zoos should be; where the animals are free and the people are constrained. A natural, national treasure for the world that has to be protected. A guide is absolutely required, a good guide with keen eyesight and knowledgeable of the land. Not just to point out the various wildlife but also, to keep you safe from yourself. These are wild animals, not some cute stuffed toys! A good guide can get within mere feet from some of the worlds most beautiful, dangerous animals, and do this safely. Enjoy images I was able to upload, and if you're ever able to visit Tanzania, go! Being able to go on a Safari to the Serengeti was amazing, absolutely amazing. My first trip to Africa, this trip to East Africa visiting Tanzania will hopefully not be my last to this continent. Enjoy!

Visited the second week of November and was nervous about how the weather would be with plenty of rain in the forecast, but I was pleasantly surprised about the blue skies despite there being clouds/rain in the forecast. It was definitely a worthwhile trip and the literal tens of thousands of animals that we saw was incredible.

Very good variety and quantity of animals in September, during the great migration. Huge packs of lions as I've never seen before. A lot of pools with Hippos and Crocodiles. There's a fantastic picnic area on a hill that allows you to see all around, having lunch among zebras is amazing. There was somebody selling beverages at the picnic area, they were collecting garbage and it was very clean.

Such an adventure! We saw most of the big five here. Lots of lions, gazelle, zebras, wildebeests and giraffes. So many animals and different types of nature to see and appreciate.

I've been to many places so far but this was defenitely the trip on my life. Never in my entire life I've been so close to the Wild animals. This place is changing your perception and I am sure that after visiting Serengeti you will never visit the zoo. I recommend you to sleep in the tent as you are closer to nature :-)

An amazing and thrilling experience. Not to be missed. It is a huge park with varied landscapes with awesome views and lots of wildlife. We spent five nights in the park and visited the Northern Central and Southern portions of the park. We saw the big five including the Gnu migration. Convenient picnic spots with restroom facilities are located in some areas of the park.

Wow! If you love African animals than you will love the Serengeti! Grass plains in every direction as far as the eye can see. Rough dirt roads. Lots of wildlife but you may spend a while finding it. Zebras and Wildebeasts in the thousands! Many elephants, lions, giraffes, cheetahs and saw my first leopards and hyenas! Go for a Hot Air Balloon ride with Serengeti Balloon Safaris! Visiting Africa and going on safari is a life changing experience. The solitude, freedom, wild animals, no TV, internet. As far away from anything I’ve ever known. I’ve never felt such peace and serenity!

The Serengeti is African legend and a visit to the national park makes dreams come true. There is a lot of Giraffe, Zebra and Hippo that are easy to see during the day, and you can drive for hours throughout the park exploring before returning to camp at sundown 🦒🦓🦛 The African skyline seems to go on endlessly and brings to life the safari story of your imagination 🐾🐾🐾

Tanzania's portion of the Serengeti is the ideal location for an African adventure. Visit between January and March to witness the wonder that is the Great Migration, an iconic phenomenon that sees 1.5 million wildebeest sweep through East Africa on an annual, 1,200-mile cycle. Even better? Watch the stampeding animals from a luxurious safari lodge, like Singita Mara River Tented Camp or Mwiba Lodge.

If you watched documentaries on East African animals this is the best national park to go to. Its absolutely huge, and there are all sorts of animals. Be warned that this national park is still the wild and the animals are not guaranteed to be seen.

Great national park!! We saw Lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, cheetahs, leopards and many more! The best time to visit is in june/July as it is the dry season and therefore more animals can be seen. We went in July and the park was full of animals. The only species we didn't manage to see was the rhino. This park makes your dreams come true! This park is definitely recommended!

Impressive, stunning, amazing... I don't have enough adjectives to describe this place. My partner and I did a Safari here, this has been one of the best experiences of our life. The expectation when looking for animals, the emotion of finding them, the wonderful landscapes, everything was spectacular.

Absolutely breathtaking. The wildlife is truly feral and even though they get used to the jeeps, they act wild. You can see the big 5 if you are extremely lucky and it's worth crossing the bording if you can. Cannot recommend this nature park enough.

Breathtaking. Such an amazing place to visit need a few days to take it all in. We were lucky enough to see the big 5. The government have done a good job protecting the park animals from poachers but with time hopefully the population will grow. The park is a must see for anyone who is visiting Tanzania.

The Serengeti is one of the most famous parks in Africa and is synonymous with wildlife and classic African scenery. It is Tanzania's oldest park and a Unesco World Heritage Site. It is home to the spectacular wildebeest migration and offers top-class wildlife viewing throughout the year.

I visited in October and was lucky enough to catch some of the great migration. The experience was incredible and life changing, unforgettable and one of a kind! Depending on which part of Serengeti someone prefers to go, I recommend avoiding months of late Feb to early June due to rainy weather since that would interfere with the safaris.

Amazing experience! Definitely need good local guide… they have extremely sharp eye sight to find animals! All big five, most are very close except rhino far far away. So many different animals, plus millions wildebeest migrate north through river at beginning of Aug - extraordinary! Will definitely consider going back! Will also consider adding some walking tour or hiking next time - all sitting in the car this time 😊

vast vast nature reserve, the road from ngorongoro almost killed everyone, then it's another 1 hrs driving after passing the main gate, but when we met a large group of lions everyone came back to life, 3 mother lions leading 9 calves walking on the road peacefully, the little ones were humming all the way, there must be 20 jeeps following them over an hour, and they don't seem to be bordered. amazing experience!

For 5-day tours, you have 2 nights left in the Serengeti, but in my personal opinion 1 night and two full days are enough for the Serengeti. Simply the best experience of my life. Must go at least once in your lifetime... let your jaw drop before endless plain of East serengeti and equally endless herd of wildebeest. Higher chance to see wildlife during high season (6-10) although the park and accomodations are much more crowded with people as well. As for me, I visited tanzania at the end of May 2022 with hangover from covid still lingering so there were really few tourists just me and my guide almost had the whole park for ourselves. Even the lodge and camp I stayed were left just for me alone. Can't say you can have similar adventure as i could because much more people would surely come to see this after 2 years of lockdown and you are likely to end up in a jam packed land cruiser seeing more people than animals:( I was just too lucky!...

I can’t express how many emotions we received during our visit to Serengeti national park. We have seen enormous amounts of animals, from lions, leopards, cheetahs and crocodiles to elephants, buffalos and endless numbers of zebras and different types of antelopes. We have seen huge pride of lions after the hunt on gigantic buffalo. I felt myself like I got teleported to on the National geographic channel. We have seen cheetah and his cubs during overview of surrounding. We have seen leopard trying to hide in the rocks. Overall we spent in Serengeti 2 days and I felt that it was not enough. I would definitely recommend at least 3 days to explore more deeply. Amazing lifetime experience definitely recommend to visit.

Serengeti National park is famous for it ,Migration four Species of Herbivores migrate in this Ecosystem ,Wildebeest approximately 1.5 million,Zebras approximately 700,000 ,Elands approximately 200,000 and Gazelle approximately 500,000. The core of this Migration is the Lust and Search for Water and Grazing grounds, Most Rivers in the Serengeti National Park are Seasonal Rivers with exception for Mara River which had water all the Year round, This makes the Herds During the Dry Season July/August and September to move up North to the Mara River. These being among the best month to view the Spectacular River Crossings of the Herds. Many factors account to this Migration. Early Rains Migration and Late rains indicate late Migration.Migration Currently centred in Moru Kopjes ,Rongai and Western corridor.Herds moving Westward to Soroi.

The park was established in 1951 and covers 5,700 square miles (14,763 square km) of some of the best grassland range in Africa, as well as extensive acacia woodland savanna. With elevations ranging from 3,020 to 6,070 feet (920 to 1,850 metres), the park extends 100 miles (160 km) southeast from points near the shores of Lake Victoria and, in its eastern portion, 100 miles (160 km) south from the Kenya-Tanzania border. It is along the “western corridor” to Lake Victoria that many of the park’s animals migrate. Within the area are nearly 1,300,000 gnu, 60,000 zebras, 150,000 gazelles, and numerous other animals. During the wet season, from November to May, the herds graze in the southeastern plains within the park.

I even saw these lions twice ... breeding !!! Yes! It is in my photos published here that these lions are breeding. (Original) Super miejsce!!! Polecam każdemu, kto lubi zwierzęta. The national park, which has an area of 14 thousand 763 km and means endless plain, is among the largest parks in the world. In addition to hosting many animals, the Masaii tribe living in the same region can beautify the environment with their colorful clothes and interesting dances, but they cannot go beyond being a touristic activity at this time. Serengeti National Park, on the other hand, besides being in Africa, has an environment that proves how different lives can be from the lives you live, that nothing you watch in documentaries is just a script.

Nature and wildlife at it's best! Did safari here and stayed 2 nights inside the park in luxury tents. Our highlight of the trip was when our dessert at dinner time was delayed! Yes, outside the dining tent near where the food was being prepared we had visitors....a pack of lions. This was an experience, what a sight. We viewed the lions from our tent and were warned not to move a step away from the tent. Eventually dessert (pictured) was served and we were escorted with guards to our rooms which were further away. For the thrill and adventure seekers, a must visit to Serengeti. Highly recommend and try the tents ;)

The Serengeti National Park is a Tanzanian national park in the Serengeti ecosystem in the Mara and Simiyu regions.  It is famous and well known for its annual migration of over 1.5 million white-bearded wildebeest and 250,000 zebra and for its numerous Nile crocodile and honey badger. That migration is the largest remaining unaltered animal migration. It contains 1.5 million ha of savanna.  The park is the centerpiece of the Serengeti Ecosystem. Early human ancestors lived in what would become the Serengeti for 4 million years (Australopithecus afarensi). The Maasai people had been grazing their livestock in the open plains of eastern Mara Region, which they named "endless plains," for around 200 years when the first European explorer, Austrian Oscar Baumann, visited the area in 1892. The name "Serengeti" is an approximation of the word used by the Maasai to describe the area, siringet, which means "the place where the land runs on forever".

Wonderful park with magnificent wild animal’s landscapes and sightseeing, the distance is endless, the experience is limitless. A fantastic place to visit at least one time in a lifetime. We had an amazing time, saw the big 5, big cats, big migration and so much more. It is important to have a professional driver who will show you the animals. It is worth organizing a tour of at least 2 - 3 days. Mgalaa expeditions (travel agency) helped us professionally for 6 days safari including 3 days/2nights in Serengeti. We go back home with our heart full of good memories.

Serengeti, a place to contemplate the majesty and wildlife, a place where human have not arrived. You will see face to face the impressive life of nature. If you’ve always wanted to go on a safari adventure, there is a place in Tanzania where you can have the greatest experience of your life. However, it’s your choice to live this different and risky encounter. If you are someone who loves extreme sports, adrenaline rushes and rustic cars, this trip is ideal for you! In a journey on four wheels, you will be able to observe everything that the unpredictable nature of the Serengeti Park offers In this trip, you will have guides and drivers who will make this journey a pleasant experience, you can also observe the animals up close and that is where the probability of observing a tracked migration increases.

The landscape is beautiful and serene and bountiful with a variety of animals to see fairly close. There can be traffic jams when a big cat is spotted. Prepare for the cold! I visited in late June and it was very chilly at night/early morning and during the day traveling in our open air Land Rover. Also, be ready to answer the "call of nature" outside, behind your vehicle.

A beautiful park indeed. Its so vast and has so much to see. Well conserved, no off road driving. The guides here are courteous and so informed. It is the land of the big five, rest assured you will spot them effortlessly. The number of Wildebeests and zebras in this place is wild. They are hundreds and thousands. You can't miss the Wildebeest migration for sure. I would do a safari again and again in serengeti anytime.

Your visit will depend on your driver. Some are good, few are excellent. Be prepared to see more people than you’d expect in certain areas of the park where the leopards and lions dwell. An amazing place and a real treasure for Tanzania as well as East Africa.

An incredible experience. As a huge lion king fan, I can see why this park inspired the movie. Lions, Elephants, Zebra, Cheetahs, Leopards, Hyena, Ostrich, and Giraffes are some of our big highlights. Others spotted a rhino as well!

We booked a week-long safari in and around the Serengeti National Park and I have to say that from our initial contact with our planner, Bantu Pori, to returning home, nothing could have run more smoothly. We started planning after they lifted the travel restrictions in late May for an early August travel. We had a great flight deal with KLM, so it was a great starting point. So far we can recommend several few tips such as; 1. Don’t overnight at Arusha, I think it’s safe to go directly to your lodge in the park if time will allow. I think parks are safer than the hotels/lodges in town. 2. Bring your own masks, hand sanitizers, or face mask or shield (We didn’t use our shield in Tanzania). 3. in your safari car, Seat at the windows. 4. Don’t join a group, it is better to travel private as we did than trying to save money joining a group and putting your health in jeopardy. 5. Take your operator's safari guide advice. For our safari with Bantu Pori, KANTE was our guide/wild care-taker who was VERY professional, knowledgeable, answered all our questions, and made sure we had the best and safe time. He made sure we got to see as many wildlife as possible. He has lots of years of experience and he is fluent in English. Besides temperature readings at the Airport and at the park gates. Our operator also took plenty of measures to make the whole experience safe and fun. From Masks, Hand sanitizers, and social distancing. Everything they said they will do they did. In my opinion, Tanzania is safe than the streets in Europe. WHY? You will interact with few/very few people along the way, All the lodges and camps observe all the safety measures, The operators are trained and they observe the safety procedures….in the entire week we meet fewer than 10 cars in the parks….at our camps Serengeti Kati Kati & Embalakai Authentic Camp there were other guests but we hardly noticed them as we requested to have our meals in our tent. We were really impressed by the great nature of Africa, especially the Serengeti national park. Thank you again KANTE and the whole team Bantu Pori for your thoughtful organization of this safe & memorable extraordinary trip. As they say in Tanzania: Asante Sana & Ka Salama (Thank you a lot and stay safe)

(Translated by Google) Wiki »The Serengeti Park and the Ngorongoro conservation area constitute an environment of rivers and lakes, favorable to the wildebeest which are very numerous. Their number is estimated at nearly one million six hundred thousand, who take refuge in Kenya during the dry season. They come back with the rain and you can see long processions of animals in search of fresh grass. This annual migration is the defining natural phenomenon of this park. Besides the wildebeests which dominate in number, are also represented the five species that constitute the Big Five (name given to this set of species by the hunters in the African safaris during the XXth century) that are the lion, the leopard, the elephant, rhinoceros (few) and African buffalo (Syncerus caffer). The park is also home to hyenas, cheetahs, zebras, raptors, and many other species. This profusion of animals has generated a local economy revolving around what is sometimes called ecotourism and Tanzania is today very careful to rationally exploit this local wealth both through protection policies and a specific taxation of tourist activities.

(Translated by Google) That was a great safari. The driver Calvin knew all the animals and the camps were an experience I didn't know that you could sweat while lying down. We only had the screen down at the entrance. During the night a buffalo was torn about 100-150 m away. We heard the death-sounds of the buffalo and later the cracking of the bones. When a hyena marched past the entrance, the sweating was announced. Since we had a full moon, you could clearly see that danger was imminent. Not enough, a lion sneaked past the tent about 1 m away. We're going on a vacation again. This time in Kenya. Many thanks go to Outback Africa for organizing our trip perfectly. We had a wonderful trip! It was really a comprehensive sample of what’s available and I think all agreed on a few things. The camps and lodges were scheduled perfectly with the best being the last. All were different and had different high and low points. Farm of dreams lodge is charming and the food is the best, but there were no animals. Serengeti and Embalakai is a step up in accommodations, the game was much better and the food was awesome. Our guide was excellent. All of the transfers went off without hitch we were well cared for! Thank you SO much for such a terrific trip. We have many friends who love traveling. If anyone shows interest, will definitely refer them to Bantu pori journeys. Wishing you and your family all the very best for the holiday season.

We stayed in the reserve for two nights, took several game drives and rode on a giant balloon along the Serona River at dawn. The latter is expensive ($500 =/-), but an unforgettable experience. (It is quite apparent from the comments made by those who gave it one star that they thought one star was the best rating.) We visited four National Parks in Tanzania. The Serengeti is the best.

If you are planning a trip to Tanzania then only plan for a week in the national parks and save your days for zanzibar beaches. Everything starts to look repetitive after a week and only the big cats might wow you after a while. I definitely loved the experience, but after a week you do need a break

A completely different scenery as compared to the other national parks I had the chance to visit while on my 5 day safari in Tanzania. Endless plains where you can spot lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffalos, giraffes and many other spectacular animals.

Had a great time going around seeing the animals with my family. Guides are very professional and knowledgeable. Highlights of my trip is seeing a hard to track leopard and The Great Migration of Wildebeasts. Patience is seriously needed for the migration but the pay off is worth it. I highly recommend going here for a once in a lifetime safari and adventure. It's nature in its most natural and seeing the animals in their habitat. Awesome!

Absolutely stunning! The park managers do a great job at keeping that place clean. Plenty of stops to use the restroom if needed. Really special experience where you’re able to observe the animals in their natural habitat.

Amazone how many animals you can see. How calm they are, easy to make amazing pictures. Definitely a must to go.

The Serengeti is full of the most interesting animals like lions, giraffes, cheetahs, and hippos. There are herds of zebra and wildebeest that stretch as far as you can see. I would definitely recommend only going with a guide, as the road conditions range from decent to treacherous. Also, the guides all stay in contact with each other via radios and tell each other where the more rare animals are. Finally, due to the huge size of the Serengeti and lack of landmarks, it would be very easy to get lost without the help of an expert. Go and see it, but go with someone who knows what they're doing.

It is best known for its huge herds of plains animals (especially gnu [wildebeests], gazelles, and zebras), and it is the only place in Africa where vast land-animal migrations still take place. The park, an international tourist attraction, was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1981. A Prehistoric Wonder and the Cradle of Life. The Serengeti is one of the oldest and most

The Serengeti National Park is a vast and renowned wildlife sanctuary in Tanzania, well-known for its breathtaking natural beauty and the Great Migration, one of the most spectacular natural phenomena on Earth. Located in the Mara and Simiyu regions of Tanzania, the park encompasses an area of approximately 14,750 square kilometers (5,700 square miles), teeming with an abundance of diverse wildlife, including over 2 million ungulates, 4,000 lions, 1,000 leopards, 550 cheetahs, and an estimated 500 bird species. The Serengeti's landscape is equally captivating, featuring a variety of habitats, from savanna grasslands and woodlands to kopjes (rocky hills) and riverine forests, creating a mesmerizing backdrop for this extraordinary wildlife spectacle.
