As it explains itself, there are hippos and in addition Hippo pool is an amazing area where you can find crocodiles also and much more you can see groups of different animals like Zebras, Antelopes, Elephants and etc coming for water drinking.

Actually probably the most happening spot in the whole park. The last three times I was there we saw Elephants making their way here to quench their thirst. I have witnessed Hippos, crocodiles, wilder beasts, buffalos, zebras and Elephants all enjoy the water of this pool in perfect harmony- and while I watched this amazing event, I thought, the only thing that could be more amazing is that the harmony was broken. Attack crocodile! Attack! Sadly it didn’t happen. Still pretty amazing though. Watch out for the baboons they will steal anything (including your babies)

A very small part of Mkumi national park. Best to view very early in the morning or at sunset or you will see is a small bit of hippo backs or if lucky a snout 😅

Innocent was the best guide and photographer hands down. He was better than the “guide” we hired. Very beautiful staff. Great atmosphere

A nice hippo pool inside Mikumi national park, a spot where you are allowed to leave the car. Its not natural but a man made dam. Railings falling apart. Always some hippos to see.

There is 2 hippo pool all amazing 👏😍 if you luck will see crocodiles 🐊and different birds
