Amazing local experience, great food, two kinds of beer and chilled back service. The chef is the man! We tasted almost everything on the menu, the fish curry is amazing but the seafood is the reason why to visit. Penne is also surprisingly very good. Thank you, guys. P.S.: Dancing is allowed 💃🏼

This cute and little local restaurant worth even a 10 stars. We had dinner last night and took the seafood platter (35'000TSH per person) with prawns, calamari, cigale, and octopus. In addition we got a delicious curry sauce for the rice. Everything was fresh and so tasty. The staff was really nice and friendly. Definitely an address to remember and to stop by.

Great restaurant! We started with the garlic shrimp and avocado/mango salad. Both were fantastic! The eggplant served with the shrimp was super delicious. We ordered the seafood platter, grilled octopus and the seafood chapati where all fantastic. One of the best restaurants we dined at in Zanzibar.

Had a really lovely lunch there. The guys working there are super friendly and genuine, the food was delicious and they even brought a free starter of chapati with an avocado dip. I will definitely go back there again while I’m here.

Amazing experience in this local restaurant ! Definitely one of the best of Matemwe, far in front of the hotels The lobster was as tasty as it was affordable (30,000 shillings for a full lobster!) Both tuna and lobster were fresh from the day, service was kind and swift - I highly recommend the place

I lived in Zanzibar for 14 years and it was by far the best meal i had in any local restaurant. The chef, King Zero, has great experience and it shows. The value for money is unbeatable. Not to be missed if you are in Matemwe. Highly recommend.

Super good food and super nice chef. I ate three times of the sea food. Even when I arrived late and they closed, I can knock the door and they can open for me.

Great restaurant on the outskirts of Matemwe village. Really delicious sea food. As always on the island you have to wait for your food as this is prepared on order. But it's worth your time !

Very good food, fresh prepared and what is rarely the case on Sansibar - the food was warm, even hot ;) Finally really well done chicken curry, nice spices used, very good taste. Also the chicken chapati wrap was very delicious. We highly reccommend this place. The owner is very friendly and we had a small lesson of Swahili-German :) we would come back every day if we stayed longer here. The best restaurant we visited in the north part of the island.

Excellent food at a good price. Mango-avocado salad was fresh and delicious. The grilled shrimp appetizer with eggplant was so tasty. Mixed seafood platter had tender octopus, calamari,.shrimp and fresh fish.

The best local Restaurant in town! We were eating for 3 days there and get never disappointed! Delicious food, Perfect prices, cool surrounding (especially after a football Play (: ) and welcoming people! We can really recommend this Place. Thank you !

The best seafood curry in Zanzibar! Nice atmosphere, some very interesting local dishes on the menu that we did not get a chance to try but would love to next time.

For the price. Great food. Late lunch, TSH 10k for a chicken curry. Can’t be beaten…! 👍
