Great service. Highly recommended for COVID test. Hassle free process, reasonably priced and no queues. TIPS: πŸ‘‰ carry your passport πŸ‘‰ Saifee hospital fees is 70,000 Just register on MOH website, select Saifee hospital. Once at Saifee, you will be directed to COVID test center. They'll ask about your travel plans and advise accordingly. Pay for the test facilitation fees and get samples taken. They charge 70,000 as facilitation fees, much better than other hospitals. You must carry your passport when going for the COVID test.

VERY DISAPPOINTED, First visit and definitely the last one. I went in at around 4;50pm was very well received, I paid and was taken upstairs to see the doctor. I was told to go to room 5, I went in and found the doctor was getting ready to leave and she asked me if I had gone to see her, I did not know who she was so I told her I went to see the doctor who was on duty. She asked me to wait outside and another Dr. was coming to see me. I waited outside for an hour and realized that the lights in the said room were now off and the door was locked. I asked one of the many staff around triage and they just said 'anakuja'. After some minutes one of the (nurses/porter) came and informed me that all the doctors had left and the only alternative was she takes me downstairs to see the one in emergency. I agreed and followed her downstairs, she then left me on the waiting benches outside saying that she was busy doing something and she would see me when she had a chance. After a couple of minutes an ambulance pulled up and it was only obvious that the doctor now had an actual emergency and I would be there for God knows how much longer. I lost my patience and decided to seek someone senior to just explain my experience but I was told even the senior staff had gone home and there was no one in charge! I find it very hard to believe that such an establishment would operate without someone senior at any given time. I came to seek medical assistance in your establishment and I had very high expectations but sadly I left almost two hours later without any doctor seeing me and no help whatsoever. The service I experienced was beyond disappointing!

As per several visits that I have been here, I would advise the ground reception staffs to be more keen and professional when receiving patients. The doctors and the nurses are so friendly and keen yet the ground floor receptionists are not as welcoming and professional. If this gets fixed, I believe this hospital would have the best that is to offer.

Doctors did a great job with my first ever baby in NICU department. My baby was born with some medical issues,he spent a week in NICU and now he is completely healthy and we are discharged. Speacial thanks to dr Insiyah in NICU , She explained everything to me in a very clear manner. She was also kind and friendly. All of the staff was great – they were helpful, patient and helped with my condition after epidural surgery. Special thanks go dr.Masatu too , he was my gynecologist and my surgeon. So far me and my baby are doing good. Saifee is a very good hospital.

My experience at Saifee Hospital in Dar was 5 star. I was admitted for surgery for a fractured my ankle. My specialist, Dr Rashid as well as the attending physicans were knowledgeable and attentive. The nurse staff was also very attentive and customer focused. From the operating room to the hospital room and food service, my overall experience was 5 star. I will recommend this facility to my friends and family in Tanzania and Zanzibar.

An excellent hospital!!! I was very much impressed by the high level of health care and service which I have experience during my stay here. In terms of professionalism, friendly well-trained & caring staff, cleanness, food service and perfect patient care. They did a total hip-replacement for me and all went very well! I had the feeling that I was in good hands and care and in a very safe environment from the moment I arrived till the day I left. Special thanks to Shabniz, for organising everything so perfectly. To Dr. Mcharo (Orthopaedic surgeon) and Dr. Abel (Anesthesiologist), who both did an excellent job on the surgery during which I was awake and to Quresh Karimjee (Physiotherapist) who helped me to make my first steps again :). A highly trained and professional team who made my stay at Saifee Hospital a memorable one!! We can be very proud of where we are as Tanzanians, that this level of medical help and care is available now. Thank you all very much!!! Ellen Vaes

I suspected I could have malaria or typhoid. My hotel (Protea by Marriott) suggested me this clinic to get tested. The receptionists were very kind and welcoming to me (maybe because I’m a β€œMzungu”…). I didn’t ask for a doctor visit because I just wanted to get tested. I payed about 50’000 tz shillings for malaria rapid (6’000) + smear (8’000) test and typhoid (40’000). I didn’t wait much time (but I had the feeling I had a β€œfast track”, as a European tourist) and I had all the results, both in paper and via email. I also bought the antibiotics that I needed to take. Suggested!

We visited from UK and my son got ill. Dr Insia the paediatrician was extremely knowledgeable and fixed the issue right away. The staff in the emergency department and all the health workers who assisted us, Asante sana! It was so lovely to see such high standards of healthcare in Tanzania! We’ve recommended Dr Insia to all our friends and family!!

Brought my 2 year old daughter to Saifee with 39.6Β°C fever and upper respiratory symptoms in early April. The physician prescribed 10mg of Clarityn and 10mg of Augmentin to be taken 2x daily. I administered these doses and my daughter who vomited each time. In a state of fear, stress and looking for any answers available, I researched WHO dosage charts per kg and medical literature-- to my dismay my daughter was prescribed twice the recommended dose for clarityn and an extremely heavy dose of augmenting FAR outside established pharmacological standards. My baby laid there without motion, dehydrated until eventually the thermometer topped out (HIGH) after a reading of 40.3C. I took her to another hospital where she was immediately admitted and the condition was eventually stabilized. A few days after my daughter was released from the other hospital I returned to Saifee for answers only to be told that I had to complete a form and wait. I waited for 2 weeks and didn't hear anything until I reached back out and spoke to an administrator named Shabniz, who voiced concern and assured me she would look into the matter. A few days later the physician explained something to the effect of: He believed the dosages were were actually half the active pharmaceutical ingredients listed on these bottles and boxes of these 2 meds.. (even though it looks like meds were packaged and sealed directly from manufacturer with dosage amounts clearly factory printed on the box and bottle). After this whimsical explanation I reached back out to the office manager who was unresponsive to further queries. I thank God that my daughter is now ok and no long term damage was done to her health but no one is gonna jeopardize my baby health, jettison my concern and attempt to placate me with disjointed rationale! This outcome is a direct result of insensitivity to patients, reckless and dangerous medical practices as well as a complete lack of class and respect. If you are going to visit this hospital be vigilant, read everything and good luck.

Very disappointing. Receptionist all are very rude and they don't understand or know anything other than making bill and taking money. Even if you want to meet a doctor for showing the report or discuss about any report you need to pay doctor visit which a rediculas policy of this hospital. Only plus point I keep visiting this place because of the two best doctors( Dr. Hussain - cardiologist and surgeon) and Dr. MURTAZA. I love their patients handling, understanding and treatment with care. If they leave this hospital I may not going to visit this hospital for any other reason. Edited : After my last review their head of Lab talked to me and after seeing the evidence of some wrong report admitted that the report was prepared manually that time and more care should be taken before handover any wrong report and the system. Anyway the system been changed and most of the report now coming directly from the machine and double checked before delivery to the patients. All their machines are brand new and highly accurate so chance of wrong doing is very minimal. I wish all the best and going to visit the facility as and when need but I will keep an eyes on their front desk stuffs before I change my mind about them. However today I'm going to have a CT Angiography under Dr. Hussain Hassanali 's close observation. Thanks.

This is one of the most cleanest hospitals i ever seen in Tanzania. It is literally like a 5 star hotel. Their staffs are kind and very handy to help and makesure you are well taken care of. I recently brought my mum for dialysis there alongside my sisters and we were very pleased with the service. Their dialysis unit is very clean, tidy and their nephrologist is one of a kind. She explains things so well and very professional. Their unit is very well equipped and the nurses there are so smart as well. Me and my family are very much pleased and surely we are happy that our mum is in good hands. By the way they offer snacks and soft meals for their dialysis patients and this is very unique here in dar es salaam. Thank you Saifee for bringing this lovely care to our kidney patients, we feel like we are abroad with the care we are receiving. I will recommend everyone to come for treatment at saifee.πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½

They don't honour appointment timings, even if they tell you so - in reality it's a queue based first-come first-serve system. If you don't plan ahead, or if for whatever reason it is crowded, you can end up waiting for a long time. They claim to provide "affordable" services, but beware, simple tests or procedures in addition to the consultation fee can end up costing quite a lot of money for a local who earns & spends in TSHS. The Reception seemed to be understaffed and other floor staff looked unbothered and busy on their phones. Overall, a lot of time-wasting for what could have been a 30-45mins session.

They have good service ,the emergency room are cautious and quick to give first aid and ,the doctors are caring and passionate about there jobs , environment is clean and disinfected .but the receptionist ,customer care and people who deal with the bills are very unprofessional. This is the 6 th day and am still requesting for my mri imaging results to be sent so far empty promises.Note :if you don't have an health insurance and use cash as I be very keen when given the bill always ask qns before you do the test also ask for the price .

I was there today, receptionist is very slow, she attends 1 patient for more than 30 minutes, Leaving patients moving around waiting for her service. I recommend you add attendants there so that patients dont stay longer at the reception just waiting to be registered. Otherwise, everything is perfect, Hospital is clean, Dr. Colman attends and listens to the patients very well. Other attendants are okay.

Saifi hospital is the worst hosp ever in dar es salaam,I wonder how can boharas have allowed very unprofessional doctors and staff, specially the heart specialist and the ICU head, the way he talks with realtives of patient as if he owed us money, the Shia or Sunni lady wearing scarf seems to be laughing with nurses when my sister dead body is there in ICU.i think the govt should send high profile enquiry into saifee hosp and check the doctors educational certificates.I appeal to my boharas brother pls u r known for Ur good humanity all over world but because of some unprofessional attitude of ICU doctor ICU head and staff they rcspoiling Ur name thamx God bless u all. May Allah bless my sister soul Ameen.
