Although the airport is in its construction state, Mwanza Airport is one of the best airport around lake zone regions. Still much needs to be done such as: some of the security guards restrict taking pictures for memory as well as unpleasant words. After all this will be a good looking airport after it's reconstruction.

Needs a lot more love and investment being an International Airport. Check In Needs bigger & better desks. Facilities are small though essentials are available. Washroom is clean.

Feels like a bus departure area with xray machines. Can buy beer and fruit.

Small Airport but much traffic of People. As mwanza city is big, much visitors coming from outside for Tour, but there is only domestic flights are there. They should have to be change it to international flights too. If I have to go out of Tanzania, then first I have to go Dar-es-salaam, from their I get international flights & my traveling got much time-money.

Terminal Needs quick and urgent upgarde. Number of flights and travellers have increased numbers past few years, however facilities remain same. Long queues in the departure area. Checkin is slow. Mwanza is a busy city with number of travellers increasing. Airport area needs to be improved.

Physical DescriptionMwanza International Airport is a one building checkin point with a pre checkin sitting area were all invisible none travelers sit (more like a big verander/shade). Layout: On arrival both departing or arrivals, there are bus boys with vests eager to help load your bags and accompany you to the check in desk. However it's not a free service and they can be sure insistent that you pay. So unless you have spare change, load your own luggage. Staff: The staff are pretty polite, courteous and professional. Local Tanzanians are generally very well mannered people. Wifi: Once you are checked in and moved into the sitting area, you can then access free WiFi which is quatre strong and fast. There is also a Tea/coffee service point were you may get coffee, tea, water and done other drinks. It's a small but efficient airport

Same old Airport, though New Terminal is under Construction. Yet the service providers are trying to handle the guests in best possible manner under constrained conditions.
