New great place to spend a few nights, we found it very quiet but apparently on weekends the bar gets busy. The rooms are simple but beautiful and clean. The bed was super comnfortable. Special mention to Lisa, she was the nicest waiter. Its next to a school so it gets loud in the morning but if you can deal with that its ok.

My partner and I had an absolutely amazing time on our trip and we cannot recommend enough booking with Lost in Africa. Planning the trip was simple with Hans who responded in a timely manner to all of my many questions. He also quickly made changes for us when requested and gave us quite a few options (which I love having)! During our Kilimanjaro trek, I was unfortunately injured due to a bit of a fall and my clumsy nature. Not only was the process to get down very smooth, but Hans was able to get us back into our hotel and visited to help us come up with a new itinerary on the fly for the few days we now had without plans. It was a huge comfort knowing that I was safe and everything was already arranged for us (so quickly!) after I needed to visit the hospital. The Safari was absolutely magical. Patrick was an amazing guide who showed us all of the best places and gave us so much insight into the nature and people of Tanzania. His love for the nature and animals made it a truly enjoyable experience full of fun facts and his knack for getting away from the other cars gave us a unique experience watching the many animals alone. For the Safari, Hans created a schedule that allowed us to see so much and I cannot wait to do it again because there’s not limit for how much time one can spend in the Serengeti. When I’m back in Tanzania, I will most definitely be using Lost in Africa again !

Amazing experience! Everything on our trip was really perfect thanks to Hans, Patrick, Ismail, the rest of the guides and staff, and of course thanks to Tanzania having so many beautiful places :) We stayed at the Lost in Africa hotel, did the 3 day Mount Meru hike, and the 4 day safari in Tarangire, Ngorogoro, Serengeti. We would definitely recommend booking with Lost in Africa. We really had the best experience ever. We didn’t have any personal recommendations to go off of but Hans was so friendly and helpful when we contacted him that we felt like we definitely wanted to book with Lost in Africa. We went for it and we were more than happy with our decision. The Lost in Africa hotel itself is a really cool place to stay and we enjoyed our nights there. The staff there and Hans are all really nice and went above and beyond. The food was also delicious. For the hike, our guides Ismail and Patrick and the rest of the team really made it a great experience for us and it exceeded our expectations. We had a wonderful time and would love to do Kilimanjaro in the future with them. The safari was truly amazing. Patrick is a great safari guide and we enjoyed exploring for four days with him. He’s very knowledgeable and seemed to know the parks like the back of his hand, and he’s also very professional, and funny. We managed to see all of the big five very quickly and saw so many animals the whole time. He adjusted our plans a little along the way to make sure we would have the best experience and everything worked really well. If we get the chance to go back we will definitely book again with Lost in Africa and highly recommend it! Thanks so much!

Guys, you have to book your Safari with these amazing people of Lost in Africa!!! We took the 3 days Safari with Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park, but next time we will go for Serengeti for sure, too. Our guide was Patrick, awesome person, so friendly and nice, excellent driver and always with a smile on his face. You will learn a lot by him about Tanzania, its people, landscapes and all the animals you will see while your trip. There is also Hans, doing all the bookings and communication for you. Same attitude as Patrick. You just have to love these guys 🤙🏻❤️ Hope to see you soon again! PS: It was our first Safari and we got to see all of the Big Five, so nothing more to say 👍🏻

Lost in Africa is incredible! From start to finish, our trip of a lifetime was flawless. We made all our enquiries and our final booking entirely via WhatsApp. Hans was quick to respond, readily available to give advice and always there when we had silly questions to ask. We opted for the 4 day safari (Arush-Tarangire-Serengeti-Ngorongoro-Arusha). Our guide Patrick was incredible. With a background in animal research and with extensive knowledge in African tribes, 4x4 driving and Safari, he makes the perfect guide. As animal lovers, we really respected his consideration for animal safety and park rules. Patrick, you are an amazing human being! Our accommodation throughout the trip was brilliant, check in/out went smoothly every time. As we told Hans on our last night in Tanzania, Lost in Africa Arusha was one of our favourite…it’s by far the best “hostel” I’ve ever seen and definitely needs upgrading to either B&B / small and friendly Hotel / a home from home. When our Safari ended, our Zanzibar adventure began. Once again, everything from transfer to check in was taken care of. Hans and Lost in Africa’s professionalism was there (from afar) every step of the way. To Hans, Clara, Doreen, Pauline (the best chef in Tanzania), Patrick and the rest of the team at Lost in Africa, we cannot thank you enough. Asante sana na tutaonana hivi karibuni xxxx

Lost in Africa made Kilimanjaro and our (first) dream safari possible. We were looking for a tour operator who takes our wishes and concerns seriously, which is rooted in the community and where we feel welcomed. Lost in Africa ticked all those boxes. From starting our enquires to booking, to arrival & safari, Hans and the team made everything convenient and easy for us. Besides the breathtaking nature, our tour guide Patrick played an important role to make our experience unforgettable. His knowledge and love for the animals & parks, as well as his fun and likable character, allowed us to fully enjoy every moment. We are already planning our next trip - again with Lost in Africa - and can't wait to see the sun rising in Serengeti.

One of the coolest and chilled places. Got an amazing chef who makes amazing pizza and cuisines. Watched World Cup 2022. Got a dope lodge to sleep at and a dope outdoor pub.
