An unexpected oasis in the heart of Zanzibar. Meandering through the bumpy and dusty dirt roads, you can't help wonder where on earth you're going; but prepare yourself for a wonderful surprise. Nestled in Zanzibar's Jambiani region is this beautiful heavenly hotel with jaw dropping views of the ocean and sunrise. Once we arrived, we were greeted by the couple-owners themselves. Denisa and Val were incredibly kind and gracious, like good friends you have known for decades. When they shared the story about Casa Paradis, it was evident that this was no normal hotel in Zanzibar – this was their labour of love; and it showed! The attention to detail really stood out for us, especially in Zanzibar were things can be a little hit and miss. Every little detail in the hotel and our rooms has been carefully thought out; to make this stay probably one of the most comfortable hotel experiences we have ever had (and we live in Dubai). It felt like home, away from home with amazing company thrown in. The best part was you're only minutes away from everything, but the privacy, calmness and quietness makes it feel like you are the only people on the island! Then came dinner! The menu is new everyday, a rare treat for Zanzibar where food can get a little monotonous, which isn't always a bad thing, but not at Casa Paradis! Their adjacent Nobis restaurant was so exceptional its easy to forget you're in Zanzibar. From the quality of ingredients to presentation, you can't help but want to eat there every night, and we almost did! 😅 The best part me and my fiancé equally admired was the fact that Denisa and Val were working alongside their local staff all night! Denisa in the kitchen with the chefs and Val serving guests with exceptional service! Food prepared with love, served with love is food received with love. Thank you Denisa, Val and everyone at Casa Paradis for making our stay so special!

Pros: Had a wonderful stay here. Rooms and common areas are beautifully decorated so that was lovely. The hosts are kind and even let us have a late checkout (at 6pm!!) for a small price. Try booking directly with them to receive some resort credit. Hosts were easy to communicate with on WhatsApp. Cons: Only wish they offered lunch and a cheaper dinner. The surrounding areas to walk to for meals are not easy to walk on (undeveloped and uneven roads, no street lamps and we have to use our phone flashlights) so you have to walk on the beach for meals. And you can’t walk on the beach in the evenings or night as the tide is too high. If beach walking isn’t comfortable for you then that is something to consider.

We stayed at this place and it was stunning. Valentin and Denisa make it feel like home. The rooms had character and uniquely designed. Big rooms with a balcony area. The pool view and turquoise waters are breathtaking. Peaceful place where you hear the ocean. Truly a paradise. Oh and let me tell you about the food! It was the best seafood i have had in Zanzibar. Thank you so much for your hospitality. We will definitely be coming back and recommending you to our friends!!!!🥰

We had a lovely stay at the Casa Paradis. The rooms are decorated really cute and create a nice atmosphere. The whole hotel is very clean and good organized. The pool is very beautiful also with the view to the sea. The food is excellent. With the generous breakfast you have a perfect start into the day and we mostly didn‘t have to eat lunch. The dinner was a dream and they also paid attention to individual wishes. Furthermore were the hosts very friendly and we left the hotel with a big smile.

We had an absolutely amazing experience at the Casa Paradis. From the moment we arrived we were transported into a world of relaxation and breathtaking views. Denisa and Valentin were incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful, they are making sure every detail of our vacation was perfect. The room was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated, it was a real heaven with an private outdoor area to relax. We loved the concept of having water bowls in front of the entrance to wash the sand off our feet. The hotel offers a breathtaking view and all the comforts we could wish for. The facilities, including the pool and restaurant, were top-notch. The dining experience at the NOBIS restaurant was absolutely fantastic. Not only was the food delicious, but it was presented with such a artistic flair. Every bite was a delight and we were thoroughly impressed with the culinary expertise. It is a must visit for anyone who appreciates fine dining and exquisite flavours. The whole vacation was an absolute dream. We can‘t say enough good things about our experience at casa paradis. We will definitely would highly recommend be returning and can only recommend casa paradis to everyone. Thank you Denisa and Valentino for being such wonderful hosts and making our stay so enjoyable. Thank you for your warm welcome and for ensuring that we had a fantastic experience. Best wishes Leonie and Henrique

The most incredible place!!! You really feel you are in paradise here - white sands, turquoise blue ocean, and exceptional layout of the hotel. The design is so lovely, every detail has clearly been carefully considered to maximise comfort but also aesthetic. So many areas to relax and enjoy. The food is incredible! To achieve this level of excellence, you clearly need a commitment to being exceptional every single day - and this hotel is perfection on every single level. A real pleasure for us to stay here!

This place is the definition of its name. Valentin and Denisa are the best hosts on earth, and their hotel is the most charming and beautiful of the island. The place, the food, the service are the definition of casa paradise. And Valentin is Zanzibar’s champion of backgammon.

I stayed at Casa Paradis Villa with my boyfriend and another friend (total of 3 people) for 8 nights in the end of March. It was my 4th time on Zanzibar, but the first time at Casa Paradis. I absolutely loved the experience, and would highly recommend it to everyone! First off, the villa is very well kept and maintained: it was cleaned 3 times during the day, the furniture and decorations are delightful to the eye - Denisa and Valentin (the owners) brought them from all over the world, the infinity pool has a beautiful view of the beach. We loved using the outside sitting area of the villa for suntanning, relaxing and enjoying ourselves. The villa has 3 bedrooms and is ideal for 6people: 2 in each room. Each room has a bathroom as well. The kitchen has all the necessary aminities you could think of. The restaurant at Casa Paradis hotel offers breakfast and dinner. We went for breakfasts at Casa Paradis Hotel (2minutes beach walk) everyday. We loved the variety&freshness of food, and the personalised service. The breakfasts were very well balanced with a good variety of fruits, juices, hot drinks and hot food (pancakes, eggs, cheeses+++) with a wonderful view of the ocean. Dinner food was also amazing! Unlike other restaurants, you need to order your food in advance before coming to the restaurant, but you save 1-2 waiting hours as in all places. The food came very quickly and was very exquisite. My favorite was grilled octopus (sooo tender!) with flammed mango (omg i am still dreaming about it). Moreover, there is a great selection of alcohol that you can choose from: we especially loved the red wine served at the restaurant. The owners (Valentin and Denisa) are super friendly and service-oriented. They even go an extra mile. They helped us organise activities during our stay, shared the secret shopping spots, greeted us personally everytime in the restaurant, and were always eager to help. I loved their attitude! Such great hosts! All in all, it was an amazing vacation, where everything was absolutely perfect. We would like to go back to Casa Paradis again, and we highly recommend it to others as well. Thank you Denisa and Valentin for creating such a beautiful home for guests to have a dream vacation!

My wife and I had such a wonderful stay at Casa Paradis for our honeymoon. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous. From the pool, to the rooftop where you can enjoy one of their many, wonderful cocktails and the huge, stunning rooms. Food and drinks are amazing. Great choice and quality !! Both the staff and the owners really made us feel welcome. If we ever return to Zanzibar, we will 100% be staying at Casa Paradis.

It’s rare you find a hotel with this much heart and soul poured into it. You can feel the love and thought the owners Denisa and Valentin put into every last detail of this slice of paradise - in the rooms, the food & the architecture of the whole place they designed from scratch! Every day we spent here we felt more relaxed and at home. The staff is very friendly and professional, the place is impeccably clean (cleaned twice a day). The food is delicious and always fresh - you choose what you want for dinner by 4 pm so they get those specific ingredients fresh from the market, this also reduces food waste which I think is really great and a refreshing break from the all-you-can-eat, mediocre quality food found in other hotels. Minimal plastic is used, mineral water is provided to hotel guests free in the most beautiful glass bottles hand-picked from Iran. Denisa and Valentin really take care of their guests, only recommending what they themselves have tried from restaurants to tours. This allows you to navigate the offerings of the island really well. The pool and the grounds in general are stunning. We’ll be dreaming of this place until we can come back. Thank you Casa Paradis (& Sushi the cutest cat!)

We went to Casa Paradis for our honeymoon and it is without a doubt the best place we’ve ever stayed in. Every detail has been thought through, from the stunning decor to the nightly service where staff freshen up your room, or the pool towels which have a wonderful scent. Our stay was full of these moments of delight. Then there’s everything else - a gorgeous pool, a rooftop with great views, the beach right on your doorstep. It’s just so relaxing and it has lots of space to chill out in so never feels crowded. The owners Valentin and Denisa are amazing - they made us feel so welcome and at home, and were always on hand to supply delicious drinks and cocktails from their extensive menu. The onsite restaurant Nobis completes the experience. The food is exceptional; up there with the best fine dining experiences I’ve had. Lots of fresh flavours and good seafood options. The included breakfast is great too. Thanks for giving us such an incredible few days, we will be back!

This IS the place in Zanzibar. The owners - spectacular and best people ever!!! The rooms - need to be in a architectural review and praised to the moon!!! The food - tasty, savory, inventive and just amazing!!! The staff - most friendly and welcoming!!! This is my new island home and if I could, I would live there!!! Feels home, is home.

Mixed feelings for our 3 nights, which gave us the impression that the place is overrated and overpriced. There were electricity cuts in Zanzibar and our room (like all the rooms according to the owner) was next to the generator, which prevented us to enjoy and sleep. Although electricity cuts are not the owners' fault, the communication with Valentin when we discussed the nuisance was very tensed. The hotel has a 50$ early checkin and late checkout policy (which we haven't encountered anywhere else in Zanzibar for same category/size hotels) without having access to a room. Even with this additional fee, we could not take a proper shower before getting our flight nor have access to a space where to change clothes with privacy. Lastly, this might be very subjective, but we were surprised by some locals' negative comments on the modus operandi of the hotel when we mentioned that we were staying at Casa paradis. Considering the high grade of other clients, we questioned our own judgement and did a bit more reading of the comments. There are some negative comments to which Valentin has answered in a quite insulting way, which seemed revealing to us. We still want to acknowledge that the place is beautiful, decorated with taste and very clean. The high price of the food at the restaurant can be justified as the food is delicious and high quality (although the 7$ for a classic teabag or 6$ for a local beer is exaggerated).

My husband and I spent a glorious 5 nights in the paradise that is Casa Paradis. We arrived here after a full on and incredible safari trip on the mainland, and we were ready to relax and that is exactly what we did. Set right on the beach, metres away from the sea, Casa Paradis is an oasis of calm and tranquil which the wonderful owners and hosts, Valentin and Denisa have worked very hard to create. From the beautifully crafted rooms where every small detail was taken care of, to the delicious food cooked by the talented team, to the gorgeous roof terrace and the stunning palm tree lined pool, you get the feeling of understated luxury. Denisa and Valentin work hard to create this ambience and we can't thank you enough for your generous hospitality. We miss you! And we will definitely be back! Nirma and Hans xx

I think even with five stars we cannot sufficiently express our admiration and appreciation towards this marvelous place. We felt like at home among friends and relatives. With their hospitality, openness, and attention to detail, Denisa and Valentin (the hosts & owners) made our stay in Zanzibar unforgettable. Both of them master their job to perfection. As already outlined in previous reviews, the highlight at casa paradise is certainly the wonderful cozy restaurant. The food is playing in a different liga compared to the standards in Zanzibar. An exceptional and unique combination between Mediterranean and African flavors. Really woow! We ate there every night during our 6-days-stay and we never got bored. In contrast, we were looking forward to what we will get served each time we went to the restaurant for dinner. The rest of the facility is designed to be in perfect harmony: The rooms are very spacious and clean with excellent oriental traditional decoration. Housekeeping is done twice a day. Very clean and beautiful pool. So nothing to complain about! We loved everything at Casa Paradis! You can definitely consider our review as absolute truth. There are no doubts that we would recommend our marvelous experience to everyone looking for a dreamy stay in Zanzibar.

It has been one of the most beautiful places I've ever been; every single detail is thought through and wonderful; the owners are the host and let us feel at home the entire time, such excellent drinks and food! We spent our honeymoon there, and I think it doesn't exist a better place to stay in Zanzibar. Indeed, it is paradise!

We had the best stay ever at Casa Paradis. It was like waking up in a postcard every day, it was absolutely stunning, the pool was so dreamy, and we were made to feel so comfortable the entire time, above and way beyond expectations. I loved the rooftop and their special infused rum, and the dinners were unbelievable. Breakfast was huge and delicious, a wonderful mix of options, and all the staff were friendly and polite. So peaceful, we didn't want to leave! And my birthday was particularly special, they really treated me and it will be the best birthday I'll probably ever have! Also the room was bigger than our entire London flat, and spotless. The Moroccan decor was gorgeous. Hope to visit again one day!!
