We had a wonderful dinner at La Capannina. The freshly homemade pasta with lobster was an absolute delight and the melanzane was delicious. Good wines and San Pellegrino to accompany the dishes and a romantic setting by the pool.

After an earlier stay in Paje, we were initially surprised by the much higher prices at restaurants in Kiwengwa. But our perception changed very quickly after tasting pizza in La Capannina. One of the best we've tried, so the slightly higher prices on the menu are well deserved. Eventually, we came to La Capannina every day. We strongly recommend this place!

I give 5 stars because of the very good food, service and kindness. The pasta is all handmade and also the pizettas are very delicious. The staff is so nice, the food came so fast and we were so blessed by this hidden gem we came through. A highly recommended place if you love Italian food for a good and fair price of around 12-14 dollar per dishe. We went two days in a row, it think that says enough!

Very good food (mainly italian, with a touch of local influence). Their “Special” pizza is phenomenal, pasta and burgers delicious as well. The food is always delivered with a Smile. :) Great coffee! Amazing Italian restaurant! We even went 2 nights in a row because we loved the food so much 😉 The pasta was home made with amazing sauce and the pizza was one of the best we have ever had. The staff was very friendly and kind. The setting is very cosy for a nice dinner with friends or family!

Very clean and nice looking, this place is also kids friendly, we came here with our 10 month old. 😊 La capannina is a huge advantage of La Pila and Breeze Residences and was one of the factors why we chose this place - we were right to do so, there are also deliveries available to both residences. Owners are very nice and always helpful! We hope to come back one day! 😊

Extraordinary and unexpected. Authentic Italian cuisine that would be appreciated even in San Francisco. Great service, homemade pasta, super fresh locally caught seafood expertly prepared. Our host and chef are from Italy and opened this gem after Covid.

Wow! After travelling in Tanzania for sometime, it was so GOOD to be eating proper pizza again. It was a lovely atmosphere and the staff are great. Good wine selection and very delicious pizza. Great pudding selection too. I’d suggest booking - we didn’t but were lucky to get a walk in table at 6:45pm.

We were the only guests for our late lunch, but the atmosphere was very welcoming. The food, grilled pulpo and seafood pizza (Roman style) was amazing, we loved our dessert (meringue with vanilla ice and caramel) and had the BEST coffee on the island

We ordered: Red foccacia appetizer 6/10 (red sauce on pizza dough with some oregano) Margherita pizza 7.5/10 Napoli pizza 3/10 (was too salty) King fish spaghetti with lemon, mint and basil (very little fish in the dish for $20) 7/10 Nice little restaurant in a residential area next to the pool. After a month of eating quite good meals on our Africa tour, this was the last place we ate before heading home. I wish we found it three days ago when we got to Zanzibar as this food is OUTSTANDING! Owners closed their restaurant in Padua, Italy due to Covid and moved here. They opened an absolute gem. Tuna Carpaccio was so fresh and so good. Eggplant Parmigiana was superb with so much tomato flavor. The Haloumi salad was also wonderful as was everyone else’s dish at the table. Please do yourself a favor and try this out of the way place. You will not be disappointed!

The most AMAZING Italian food! Yum! You HAVE to go. Loved everything we had: tropical pizzetta, speck and brie rolled chapatti, halloumi and aubergine fritters and aubergine parmigiana. Yum yum yum!

We ate here during our visit around 4 dinners and tried a lot of different dishes. Everything was absolutely delicious. Pasta, Steak, Pizzetta, Salad, Dessert - all really nice. Nice Italian food and service is really good as well.
