Had afternoon tea with some friends, 7 of us. Most visitors from USA, Canada, Australia and Holland. Requested afternoon tea. £30 per head. Friends had sparkling wine too. Tea arrived on layered plates. Everything just placed on the table, selected teas delivered. No explanation as to what the afternoon tea was about. They didn't explain that the tea was still in the pot strainer so it stewed yuck. No checking to see if there was anything else required. Just drop and run. Not seen again until bill time. Overall not a good service. Sandwiches dry not full. Location good.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Castle Hotel, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately set the tone for a memorable meal. The service was top-notch. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring that every guest had a fantastic dining experience. They were quick to offer suggestions and recommendations, and their attention to detail was impressive. Thank you to the entire team for providing such a wonderful experience. I look forward to returning soon to indulge in more of your culinary delights.🤗♥️👏🏼💯

If I could give this place zero stars I would. It was not at all how it’s advertised. The staff are unfriendly and the beds are uncomfortable. Mine had lumps in it and I had to ask for a mattress topper to help me sleep. The rooms were outdated and dirty. Also have the thinnest walls, you can hear everything. Worst part is the dust, clearly it’s not cleaned properly because you can see everything covered in dust. It was so bad I got a dust allergy. So disappointed with it. It was so expensive too.

I ended up at this hotel unintentionally but was so happy I did! I had a flight cancellation and needed to stay overnight. All the Heathrow airport hotels were booked so airport staff suggested staying in Windsor. Given the choice, I would stay at this hotel again. It was quiet, comfortable and beautifully designed. The staff were helpful and kind!

I booked a classic room with queen bed. The room had one small window and lacked furnishings. No pictures on the wall, one chair and a small table, so not really suitable for two guests in my opinion. The washroom was clean but it didn’t have a bath and seemed like the wall tiles and flooring were done on a budget. The main room had a curtain running the full width of the window wall but the window was only about 1 meter wide located in the left corner. The room was located in a separate building at the back of the hotel away from the main reception and so I did not really feel like I was staying in the main hotel. The parking spaces are small and car park not the easiest to locate. Quite disappointed overall given the price paid.

Great family stay. Room was big with a second room for the kids to sleep in, already made up. Super clean and staff very helpful. Electric car charger was easy to get to and working with a decent charge rate. Had Christmas lunch, good value and very nice. Will stay again 100%

All perfect, elegant with a colonial touch, and clean, though the rooms and in particular the carpets and mattresses need renewal. Excellent breakfast with great choice. Rather understaffed, but despite being overworked they never lost their smile and did their utmost to serve. Wonderful position.

What a lovely place to chill on a summers day!!! They have converted the driveway into the car park into a sheltered eating/drinking area made of solid oak frame. There is outdoor seating too. Olde world inside. Food was fab, service was too. NOT a big fan of big service charge though, sorry, prefer to tip.

We stayed at the hotel on the 10th February in a Deluxe room. The room was stunning with a beautiful decorated bathroom full of luxurious scented toiletries . We were amazed at the size of the suite with every need catered for . The Manager Sam was so welcoming both him and all the staff were so helpful and polite, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was perfect every taste was catered for ,from full English, continental, vegetarian, vegan. Diners were spoilt for choice from a vast array of food. The hotel was beautifully decorated warm and homely .Thank you to all the staff for a lovely stay . Kate and Carl

This is a lovely place - beautiful décor and located in the heart of Windsor so can't go wrong if you're also visiting other places. Recently visited for lunch and was served by Nash. He was brilliant, really looked after us. He made sure we had everything we needed and served us with great enthusiasm. The food was also spot on! Will be visiting again 🙂

Lovely hotel in a great spot! Had a good experience! Food was good. Farely priced based on it's location. It's proximity to the castle and train station makes it suitable for people who want to enjoy the surroundings withouth having to walk much. Center of London is also reachable with train in less than 1 hour. Can't wait to visit again!

Excellent location. We were on top floor (3) and there was a constant motor humming noise on roof above us that made it difficult to sleep at night and just annoying during the day. Nicely decorated room and bathroom. Shower pressure was weak. Nice tea and coffee supplies in room. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was very good with friendly staff. Fridge & room safe.

This hotel survives purely on its close proximity to Windsor Castle! If located further away, it would need to supply much better customer service etc. Superior rooms are not superior, comfy beds are not comfy and the street view is from a little corner window! Afternoon tea, whilst very nice, is hugely overpriced at £40 per person and even though its called afternoon tea, they forgot to bring the hot drinks! Buffet breakfast is certainly underwhelming. Front desk clerks are clearly trained not to smile and be courteous. A very disappointing experience and in my opinion the hotel can only be described as poor.

Stayed 1 night for our wedding anniversary. The staff were super friendly, the room lovely and breakfast was delicious. Location is perfect for a walkabout and not too far from restaurants and venues.

Really excellent afternoon tea - you can tell that they have a pastry chef this was very high quality with great service that went above and beyond. A big thank you Samantha, Jess and Aicha for looking after us so well.

We had an afternoon tea at the hotel in The Leaf. £40 each may seem a bit expensive but it's a great location opposite the castle. The tea itself was lovely, great selection and very tasty. We couldn’t eat it all but they kindly provided a carry home box for us.

We recently had afternoon tea at the Leaf hotel. Fantastic atmosphere and experience. We were served by Sam and another waitress who were both very polite and attentive. Food was very good, highly recommend.

It may be good if you book a room in the newer rooms. Stay away from the "quaint " older suites. We were in Suite 107, 1st floor. Extremely squeaky floors. Paid over $800 US for 2 nights for the privilege of waking up to the squeaky floor above us. Mo satisfaction from the manager.

Perfect location if your visiting Windsor and want everything in walking distance.staff were pleasant and helpful. Our room was very clean and spacious though the view out of our window was a bit dismal, still we wasn't there for the window view so all good 👍

Stayed here on 03/06 for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations for one night. We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The bedroom was lovely and very clean as was the bathroom. A real plush feel to it all. The pillows were so fluffy! The actual hotel is wonderful and a older building with lots of character. However two particular individuals made our stay wonderful which is why we would certainly return. Rachel at checkout on hotel reception was a real sweetheart and Sam was in the restaurant area. He was so kind and attentive and even when I sat down he came back to check I was okay and was being looked after. I noticed he was like that with many guests and shows the high level of service he offers. Would I come back? Absolutely! I had a wonderful time!! Thank you Castle Hotel.

We stayed May 30-June 2, 2023. We had a lovely refurbished room, 201, overlooking High St. Guards marched by one day. Nice size king room. Shower was a slight issue, although brand new, my husband is 6’5” and couldn’t stand up. Hit his head on the exhaust fan and rain shower. Very glad it was just a shower, no tub! The bathroom was adequate size, no blow dryer…maybe could’ve asked for one. Location was perfect, around the corner from the castle and loads of shopping and eating. I’m not sure of the room category, the bill was nearly $1000 USD for 3 nights!!! I think it was a deluxe room. Be sure to have a burger at Honest Burger! Best we’ve had in many years! Down the hill headed toward train station. We took the train from Waterloo to Windsor, great option. We rode Hop On, Hop Off twice to get our bearings.

Went there for afternoon tea. Never had afternoon tea before so not quite sure what to expect. Nice environment and surrounding. The tea was ok but I have had better cups from cafes and tea rooms. Sandwiches were ok but nothing special. Scones were good but I am not a lover of scones. There was a nice selection of cakes.

We stayed midweek (Tuesday & Wednesday) - my partner and I and were mightily impressed by the hospitality of the staff. Reception was really welcoming and helpful. We at at the hotle restaurant the LEaf on both nights and found the service to be as marvellous as the food.. A special thank you note to Camile who served us on Tuesday night =, who was exceptional. Breaks=fast was also impressive and made for a perfect stay. We have always been impressed by the Sutton Collection and their caring attentive staff.

Me and my partner stayed here for 1 night, we chose to upgrade to a bigger room which was on the first floor and overlooked the high street with a slight castle view. Check in was easy and they kept our luggage until the room was ready, our luggage was placed in our room for us which was a bonus. The room was big, modern and clean, however some areas could be improved (limescale in bathroom and painting) The large king-size bed which was comfy (rather hard but nice for us). The bathroom was very nice and away from the bedroom. The amenities included were great, however they come in bottles that are used by those who has used the room previously. I did send one back as it was sticky and had a hair in it. Staff promptly fixed this issue. The room we had (104) was located at the top of the stairs and we could hear the restaurant below until gone 11pm. We did call reception who said that the noise should die down which it did before midnight. Another slight issue was that the heating made an awful noise when on, we got away with having it off in mid-January so it wasn't much of an issue but occasionally it would kick in and make a noise which was frustrating. They did compensate us for this. The hotel gave us a complimentary drink, I'd recommend the virgin Pina colada- I could not tell a difference! The staff at the castle are very friendly and attentive and I would stay here again, just not near the stairs!

Went for a high tea afternoon at The Leaf Restaurant and had a wonderful afternoon. The selection of food may not seem like a lot, but once you get through the whole selection it was more than enough for both of us. They were even happy to cater for a dairy intolerance, and the scones were warm out of the oven. The selection of teas were of very good quality and the champagne by the glass was a nice extra touch for that luxurious experience. Wish we had been placed on the restaurant rather than one the side of the restaurants and the fire alarm going off in the middle of the cream tea (for no reason) takes off a single star. Overall, a great experience for anyone looking to add a classic English experience to their Windsor visit.

Good hotel if you are visiting the area with small rooms and great service. The hotel is wonderfully located next to windsor castle and next to plenty of food options and travel connections. Staff was friendly and fast to handle any request. Rooms are quite small but I suppose it is normal in the area and will do the trick to anyone who just uses the hotel as a base and not as an experience.

Tony, the manager, provided the best customer service that we've ever had!!! He was very informative on food to eat, recommended places for us to see and provided a lot of info on the area. A 5+ rating for him, the restaurant and the overall service. Many, many thanks to him and the hotel. Hope to see you again...

We had an excellent night here. 5 stars are thanks to Namit and Cosmo, our friends behind the bar! Their drinks knowledge was exceptional. They went above and beyond their duty, it was a memorable night. Give them a raise!

Wonderful stay here. Joanne (maybe?) in reception was friendly and helpful trying to figure out travel to and from London with the strikes. The bed was the most comfortable one we had in our 10 day trip in England! We went for work and it's a great place for events too! One block from the Windsor Castle Entrance!!
