Always pour the perfect pint of Guinness. Good things come to those who wait. Unfortunately Google will not allow me to submit a second review with my account. However just one review does not do this establishment justice. I append further pictures of another perfectly poured Guinness and tonic.

A good pub, I went with friends, work colleagues and even for a small date during lockdown when things started opening up again. The service is good, the tables always sticky and the smell of old typical of a pub. There are tables outside which is really nice especially on a sunny day. The pub is located in the centre so I'd say it's a good place to stop for a quick lunch. The burgers were good and so were the wraps me and my friend always had. It's a well priced pub, but they could improve on the beer and drinks in general. An overall good experience and would be happy to go back.

Been going here for year's now and Eddie The Manager really is putting that magic touch to the Bear! Every weekend the service and the food just gets better & better..... along with the amazing polished copper table's so shiny you could read the menu off the refection! ( See Pic ) Keep up the amazing work and looking forward to coming back asap!

Pretty decent food for the price. Good range of drinks with some beer and cider festivals some times. The Beyond burger with added halloumi and fried egg is delicious!. New menu with more veggie options now.

Great Spoons now. Good turnaround from what was a distinctly average Spoons. Beer selection and keeping now good. Food quality massively improved. Staff now seem happy and attentive. Incredible difference to what used to be. August 2023 update all still good. October 2023 update. First beer end of barrel and pizza slightly not as well cooked as normal. Staff offered replacement but had to leave. Overall still OK.

Good breakfast and service was good too. Just had curry as it was curry night . Good value with a drink too.

Food comes out quicker then most places. Greater always with a friendly smile and great atmosphere. Also love the history of the bear in maidenhead, and they are not afraid to show it with memorabilia on display to read.

Have been here many times over the years. One of the better Wetherspoons in terms of building, service and quality of food served. Cannot fault the breakfast for the price of £4.99.

Just popped in for a quick bite to eat. Some food arrived before the drinks. When we asked it sent the waitress into a complete spin and she didn't know how to help us. We ordered on the app, but she kept insisting we must have ordered at the bar...... if we'd ordered at the bar we'd have left the bar with our drinks!! Sadly not the best Weatherspoon meal or experience. However it was a nice evening and we were able to sit outside.

Around a third of the beers on tap had finished and they were unable to retap them. Nice to see a new range of beers through takeover month. Staff were pretty friendly, offered alternatives and served us pretty quickly.

We had our Wedding Reception here in 2013. It will always have a special place in our hearts. It's my parents local so we brought them in for lunch whilst we were visiting from Devon this weekend. Great meal, great service! Thank you!

Very nice. Chatty and helpful staff. Kat who was behind the bar was lovely. Ordered burgers and chips which were nicely presented and hot. Quaint olde worlde settings and quick food service. Look for the special offers too!

A classic spoon, nothing more, nothing less. Food is done in quick time, and tastes good. The outdoors seating and seating upstairs are definitely a plus. Our usual..

Great atmosphere, nice place to bring kids. Great service too but food was disappointing. Felt like heated on the premises rather than cooked. However kids margheritta pizza was very tasty.

Consistent - if you use the app it's totally fuss free. Service here is always good - friendly and fast. Food is good value, we used to eat at higher end restaurants but felt ripped off in other well known chains and put up with bad behaviour by other customers so decided to give weatherspoons a chance and it's always a good mix of people and never feel like we've been robbed (only tiny complaint is they're getting tighter and tighter with the beans!) If you do sit near someone unfavourable, it's not the end of the world because your food comes out fast and you're in & out in half an hour. Husband says the beer is good too 👍

No dogs! Even in the outside area at the front of the pub. Told in no uncertain terms company policy (Wetherspoons?), no dogs allowed. Get up the street to Bardos or Coppa I'm told, where I already know dogs are welcome in certain areas. I don't normally have a dog in tow, just dog sitting, but generally, that's put me off Wetherspoons altogether, even if they do serve a nice pint of Guinness. At a time when businesses need all the custom they can get, beggars belief.

🐻🍻🥘 The Bear in Maidenhead High Street has been here forever and is probably the most famous landmark in the entire town other than the townhall itself! Weatherspoons do this stunning establishment perfectly with a great selection of beers ales stouts and lagers. There's an excellent food menu, and it's just one of those places that takes you back in time (for me to my 20s when it was a hot spot for the social circuit!). The staff are friendly and welcoming. Just drop in and enjoy!

Best authentic pub with good food and drinks with affordable price !! They have perfect onion rings and delicious pizza and pasta and suits indian style as well and its cheap compared to others in Maidenhead . Best place in Maidenhead to stop by and have food and drinks.

I can imagine this Spoons gets busy over a weekend. I had a chicken schwarama and a Ghost Ship low alcohol beer for a little over a fiver - the usual excellent value for money from the brand. There are plenty of other pubs and bars nearby if you want to explore the town.

Lively 'Spoons' in a former swish hotel in town. Good atmosphere with a great selection of drinks of all kind at exceptionally good prices. Food is not to everyone's taste, but it hits the spot with all the favourites of comfort food and is very popular. Most of it is very good and sometimes dishes can be average. Good service with friendly and helpful staff

Main issue is bar manager or senior bar person pouring doubles when we never asked for them! His reply was you didn’t ask for a single! Never heard such rubbish! He needs some training! Both rounds he did doubles but did not tell us! Came to light after! We could have been driving and 4 shorts instead of 2 would have pushed the driver over the legal limit!! Absolutely terrible service and behaviour! Be careful!
