Lovely place! Made a booking in advance for 3pm but were running late, and they were more than accommodating. It was a slow day, so they let us sit anywhere, and what was going to be four pours ended up being about nine because they had extra opened product. The wine was amazing and the view was spectacular. We bought two bottles and our server comped the tasting for us! And he even gave us the rest of the bottle of Hieronymus we’d sampled earlier. The service was incredible from start to finish, and I’m so glad we decided to drive out there. Can’t recommend this place highly enough if you’re looking for a place to stop and explore the local wine.

Best experience I’ve had at a winery! The wine and views were just impeccable. But the staff was also such a highlight! Alan and Seb really know about the wine they’re serving but are also just top notch people who gave us the best experience! Thanks to all at Elephant Hill for the best time!

Sisters hen weekend, lunch and wine tasting. Wine tasting was great fun. Was good to taste 4 different wines. Tom was full of useful information and dare I say it easy on the eye. Lunch was tasty. Description would of been useful on menu but we could of ask the wait staff. Overall was a great experience.

Stopped in for a a wine tasting while on a bike ride and ended up buying 3 bottles and 1 dessert wine yumm. And they delivered down the road where we were parked in our motorhome .

The best Winery food I’ve tasted in NZ to date. Goes beyond taste as it’s clear they also specialise in food textures. We had such a great experience on the Saturday that we went again the following Sunday night! Didn’t expect the menu to be the same but still plenty to try out and, again, thoroughly enjoyed it. Friendly staff and magnificent views with beautiful colours.

We visited Elephant Hill for a wine tasting during our honeymoon and it was excellent! The location is stunning (even on a rare rainy day), the range of wines was exceptional and the service was top tier. Lee was so attentive and personal in her explanations of each wine and she was very generous with her time. It was a memorable experience, one of the best wine tastings we’ve ever done and we’ll definitely be back!

We thought Elephant Hill is just famous for its view and posts by instagram celebrities, but we were wrong. The whole wine tasting experience was enjoyable. The staff was professional and knowledgeable. We love all their Chardonnay that are so characteristic, complex and layers of notes. The red was nice too but not our favourite. The view was beautiful too. Book ahead. Highly recommended.

We came for a wine tasting and it was an amazing experience! We chose the premium tasting option and Lee our Host was fantastic and gave us great quality wines to taste and we had a fabulous time! We walked away we 8 bottles in the end and money well spent! We would recommend coming here for an afternoon to enjoy some quality wine and service!

Such a great event Wine Dogs, let's see this monthly around other vineyards in Havelock North. Few more dog water stations, more food trucks and more generous pours o the wine would be great.

This winery was so beautifully designed with palm trees greeting us as we drove to the entrace. We didn't book any wine tasting reservation but the lady working there (sorry we forgot your name😅) fit us. She is very knowledgeable about wines, and can tell that she is passionate about her job. We spent about 2-hours-ish trying out quite a few glasses more wines as we are the only customers for the day. She made us very comfortable and easy to talk to. Glad to have found this winery and hope they will open up their restaurant again!

We enjoyed a marvellous wine tasting here today. It was a cold day but we received a warm welcome from Lee. Lee made the whole experience very interesting and memorable. Lee encouraged us to explore the wine profiles and try to identify the distinctive flavours. Lee then identified the wine we had tasted and proceeded to share her extensive knowledge with us. The wines were great and we look forward to enjoying todays purchases when we return home. Thank you Lee for a fabulous morning.

Incredible good tasting. Perfect vineyard and ocean view mix. Awesome and very personal recommendations by Tom. All worth it to take a flight and buy some. Book in advance, as they are busy for good reasons.

The most amazing wine tasting I’ve ever been to. Elephant hill produces some amazingly complex and tasty reds. The best part of the tasting was getting to sit down and enjoy a glass of wine with Tom, who explained the details of why each wine tasted different. As well as being super friendly, his passion and knowledge of his wines really showed. In my opinion every wine tasting should be like this. Could not recommend elephant hill more highly!

Beautiful setting. Wines are very good. Our tasting experience was excellent, even though staff were busy. Even bought The Sea Sauvignon Blanc, which is a rarity. We enjoyed tasting wines which are made to suit the location of the vineyards.

We had a lovely time at Elephant Hill. The setting was stunning and the wine tasting was brilliant. Our host was really knowledgeable and friendly, and talked us through the wine we were trying in detail. We didn’t catch her name but she was new from Otago. Highly recommended.

The most amazing experience. The staff were so friendly and attentive and really I could not have asked for a better wine tasting. The wine is divine I wish I could fill my suitcase with bottles of rose.

Delicious wines, fantastic service. We did a wine tasting today and the guy (whoops, didn’t catch his name) was super knowledgeable and shared lots of insight about the vineyards, the style of wines and stories about the vineyard. Disappointing that the kitchen was closed (“not a platter, not a cheese, not even a nut” lol) but the team were great about setting expectations, and the environment was really pleasant. Come here!

The wine is simply delicious! The customer service is even better! Highly recommend and can't wait to visit again!
