Perfect, safe, & clean location a nice walk to the “Sol” square, museums & great restaurants. Rooms were clean & so comfortable - we even purchased their exact pillows. Very helpful front desk staff. Beautiful hotel! The sushi restaurant is amazing /right up there with our top 5. Breakfast was good but I did feel the staff could pay more attention to refilling coffee cups, taking orders (outside of their great buffet) & be bit more friendly.

The location is perfect. The staff was superb. Friendly, professional, clean, cheerful and happy to answer all the questions and even offered help couple of times without me asking. Not only the people from reception but also in the restaurant during breakfast or the security/porter guys (thanks to Romanian guy for help with the transport). The rooms were very clean and in good standard. For sure I will promote this place to my family/friends when they decide to visit Madrid. Overall it was one of the best hotels I've been so far and I travel for work around the world ~250 days a year. If i were the manager I would give a big raise to the workers in this hotel. Also i don't write reviews and praises because it's time consuming but this time It's worth it.

This is an absolutely excellent hotel. The location was fantastic. Close to a lot of restaurants nearby and a few blocks from the main landmarks. The employees provided outstanding service . I emailed the hotel ahead of time letting them know I was arriving early and my room was ready when I arrived. The rooms are spacious, super clean, with a very modern bathroom. I had breakfast in the restaurant downstairs each morning, the service was exceptional. The breakfast selection was great and a lot to choose from. Good quality food. They even served churros!! I will definitely stay here on my next trip to Madrid.

Excellent location and great service. The rooms were clean and fairly priced. Visited in late November. The heater worked great and it looked like there was air conditioning for the summer months. The King Deluxe was a little small and hard to lay things out and our balcony door unfortunately didn’t open all the way, but likely to being on 1st floor. We faced the street and it was a pretty quiet street given the area. Enjoyed that the breakfast was served from 07-11, breakfast food and coffees were fine. Several options for vegetarians, not much for vegans. If it isn’t included with your stay, I would suggest finding a local spot for breakfast and coffees. Again, location was amazing. Could not have stayed in a better spot. Easy for Uber and cabs to pick up and drop off as well. Easy to walk to all the must see places in town. Would definitely stay here again!

Great value for the money. Attentive and friendly staff. Comfortable rooms. Superb location with attractions, shopping and metro/buss easily accessible. Literally dozens and dozens of food and drink options within a ten minute walk.

I guess I don’t understand the great reviews? The front desk staff were pretty snooty towards us the whole time. Right from check in it seemed like it was an inconvenience- they hardly gave us any information about anything, just gave us the room key and that was it. We didn’t even know that there was breakfast on sight until we were checking out. There was mold in our bathroom/we requested to switch rooms but they said no because nothing was available, but the website showed they had almost every room option available. (I guess I’m not total sure how that works but it was disappointing) the rooms look into the ‘courtyard’ but it’s just an elevator and you can see across to other peoples rooms/they can see yours. It mentioned a mini bar in the room but we literally just had wine glasses and nothing to put in them? No fridge either. Was a little confusing. The room was booked with diamond member points so I guess we technically weren’t out any money, but still a disappointment overall. Plus side: we liked the location.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Madrid - Prado goes above and beyond to ensure the comfort of their guests. They greet you with a smile and a warm cookie with lots of helpful tips on things to see and even transit options. Seating in the lobby area is inviting and spatious. The breakfast was easily the best in the area and the attentiveness of the restaurant personnel was incredible - they will remember your coffee preference! The room was very quiet, a comfortable temperature (adjustable to your liking) with pristine cleanliness and the wifi was reliable. The laundry service was also on point! I certainly recommend this hotel and look forward to my next stay.

One of the best Hilton’s I’ve stayed in, great service, very clean and a fantastic location. The rooms were lovely and the decor felt fitting and clean. The breakfast was nice and Antonio on the front desk went out of his way to find us a taxi when none were about, would highly recommend.

Great hotel with wonderful staff. Felt more like a Curio Collection or LXR instead of a DoubleTree.

This is an absolutely excellent hotel. The location was fantastic. The employees provided outstanding service and any question I had they were right there with help. Can't say enough about how helpful they are and I really don't know much Spanish at all but they didn't care. The rooms are spacious, super clean, very modern bathroom and I had a nice little balcony over the wonderful small cobblestone streets here in Madrid. The hotel has a charm with where it is located, the architecture and the overall look. The restaurant is actually really good. Even though there are tons of great places all easily walkable I did a dinner at the hotel and breakfast each morning. I will definitely stay here on my next trip to Madrid.

I spent 2 nights there and had a great experience. The room was cosy and warm, clean and well furnished. The bed was so comfortable it was hard to get out of it in the morning, so it's perfect that breakfast is served between 7 and 11:30. It's a buffet one, with a wide range of food and drinks. The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable. The location is central, with all the main museums within walking distance. Highly recommended.

Recently had a wonderful stay here with my husband and our baby! The location is perfect and walkable to many top sights. The service of the staff was great. Room was very clean and they did give a complimentary upgrade as diamond members. Numerous options of tasty food for breakfast and they also have free candies and cookies in the reception area. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location, the service was FANTASTIC! Carlos who checked us in early in the morning did his best to accommodate us as soon as possible. Thank you Carlos. The staff is professional, speak multiple languages & care for their guests. The rooms were great and comfortable bedding for weary travelers. We used the gym it was very good for our stay and we had the breakfast buffet which is amazing! Also the shower was awesome too!

Booked a few days for a family vacation. Rooms were beautiful, clean and comfortable. Staff all spoke English and were very accommodating to a first time Spain traveler. Location was ideal. Lots of good restaurants, bars and parks within a few blocks.

The hotel is very close to the city. Front desk employees are very accommodating and always wear a smile and greet guests. Hotel is super clean and tidy. Food servers are courteous and respectful. I love staying in Hilton hotels.

Great location. Taverna-type Restaurants are near and big named stores too! Nice clean hotel. But no American coffee in rooms? Why?

My wife and I stayed at this hotel in September 2021 and greatly enjoyed it. Perhaps the best service at any hotel I've been to. We needed to see a doctor and the staff arranged it like it was an every day occurrence. We saw them assisting others with arranging COVID tests, car services, and luggage transfers. The hotel itself is very well located between the main plazas and the Prado, but off of the busy streets so is very quiet. It is a few blocks away from a couple of different metro stations. We found it very easy to check out central Madrid from this location.

Rating: 8/10 Room: pretty spacious, nice bed and bathroom. Comfort: very comfy bed and pillows, good A/C, great shower. It's a bit noisy at times (from corridor and cleaners). I've stayed here a few times in a few different rooms, and it depends on which rooms you get. Amenities: wifi is good. The bar downstairs is nice. Location: ideally located for sightseeing in the center, the park, the metro, and grocery stores. Can't beat it really. Price: good value for money I would say, if you can get it at a good rate. Other: reception staff are lovely.

Don't think of this as a chain hotel. It is a delightfully charming mid-size hotel which feels like, and treats its guests like, a high end boutique hotel. The location is fantastic; a ten minute walk (at most) to just about everything you want do in Madrid. But it's the staff that makes this place so special - from the moment we walked in they made us feel valued and their recommendations were always spot on.

Beautiful well located hotel. After having another spa cancel our massages at the last minute, we asked the hotel for help finding a new place. They were able to arrange in room massages which were great way to end our trip. The level of service is top notch

I want to give it a five star for having the best plug setup of any hotel I’ve seen. And for great full size non disposable toiletries. The only thing stopping me is the ac. It might have been user error but it would not cool the room. Some, but not cool enough for me. On to the details. I really like the location. 10 min walk to Retiro park, close to so many great restaurants, and close to a Starbucks. Service was good. People always available to help (and I heard them answer so many questions when I worked in the lobby for a bit). Very patient and friendly! The room is a good size. Comfortable bed and quite. The desk is great with usb, euro plug, and a U.S. plug! And plugs on both sides of the bed (without having to unplug a lamp). Great design! Also good lighting options in the room. There is an iron and ironing board in the closet. And a nice full length mirror. The bathroom is also good sized. Nice walk-in shower with rain shower head and wand/mounted one. Nice cushy big towels. And even though I don’t use it, thank you for providing a straightener and hair dryer! I like the full size (not single use) toiletries. Easy ti read what’s what and better for the environment. Breakfast was good. I was happy to be able to make my own pan con tomato. I would definitely stay at the doubletree again when in Madrid.

My partner and I spent a lovely few nights in this hotel. The staff were super friendly and the welcome cookie when we arrived at midnight was a great touch. The facilities were fantastic and my partner certainly enjoyed the complimentary marshmallows that were next to the elevator. We would definitely stay here again.

Friendly staff, great service! Loved the warm welcome-cookie when we arrived from heavy rain outside. The room was modern and clean, comfortable bed and spacious shower. The hotel looks very thought through, and it lies quite close to the metro. Nice restaurant and bar at the hotel.

In the heart of downtown and close to most major attractions. The concierge is an expert on the local cuisine and spot on with his recommendations. The front desk was more than helpful in translating a transaction that I had to complete for a family member. The sushi place in the lobby is amazing.

Great location and luxurious room. The rain shower was exceptional. The entire stay was very fancy and we enjoyed the small touches like the robes and the sweets offered near the elevators. The location was also perfect location walk able to tons of major attractions and small places to enjoy wine and tapas. Would stay again.

Nice hotel. Nothing fancy. Very clean. The staff was friendly. The breakfast buffet was good. If you're going to the Prado or Thyssen museums, it's a great location. There isn't a close metro stop, so plan on a taxi ride if you have luggage.

Of course Doubletrees are known for their luxury and high standards and this one does not disappoint. This hotel is on the smaller side but this is expected, it is a European hotel retrofitted into an existing space. Modern luxury lines, good balance not over the top. Its clean, secure, safe and the staff super attentive. I wish we spend more time in the hotel but it was a great place to return to after a long day sigh seeing. Not a breakfast person but as a diamond member its complimentary and hard to miss a great breakfast esp if its included.

I was about to miss my flight because of their staff. They are not reliable. I asked them to arrange taxi for me but they told me the road is close and no taxi getting closer despite multiple taxi coming to nearby hotels. They didn’t even apologize for me for what happened!!. Also location of the hotel was across the congress and yesterday there was a big protest that made it very difficult to reach the hotel as the street around it was close and I walked multiple blocks to reach an area that I can access thorough after showing the police the hotel key. Otherwise room was clean but small size, ac working perfectly, specious bathroom and top notch cleaning service.

Amazing stay here! The location is fantastic - it's so easy to get to so many things! The rooms are beautiful! A beautiful, spacious room and beautiful bathrooms really make it feel like a luxury hotel! What makes this place special is the staff! The front desk staff speaks amazing English - which is a huge help to travelers from the US. They were able to assist me with making a couple phone calls and talking to native speakers. Aside from that, they are all such nice individuals and fun to talk to! They provide great recommendations for places to eat and things to do - and there's a doorman who will help with anything needed outside. Would absolutely be my #1 choice should I stay in Madrid again!

So far everything had been excellente. I was checked in by three wonderful women who were very friendly. They offered me the Hilton welcome cookie which smelled and tasted delicious. I was able to check into my room early. The room was small, but very nice and clean

Everything about this hotel was great. The front desk staff is fantastic. When we arrived, they were very welcoming. One of the staff members sat with us with a map and showed us some great places in the neighborhood to eat and all the points of interest. The breakfast selection was great and the staff there was awesome. The room was immaculate. They don't have an ice machine, but if you need some, they will get you some. The location is fantastic and a short walk to everything in city center. I would definitely stay here again and will recommend the hotel to anyone I know that is going to Madrid.

Excellent hotel! My wife and I visited with our baby and had a great stay. The rooms are very modern and comfortable. The hotel staff are all very nice and helpful. The breakfast was great with really good bread rolls and tortilla de patatas. The location is very convenient since it's close to a lot of restaurants and a lot of touristy sites like the Prado museum.

I had a great visit to Madrid in March, thanks in part to this excellent hotel. A friendly check-in and helpful staff throughout my stay. A warmhearted group of folks staffing the breakfast area, including a gentleman who remembered my favourite drink every morning. The hotel is in an excellent location with many fantastic restaurants very close by - and lots to see and do a short walk away. I always wish the fitness area was a bit bigger in small hotels, with a few more pieces of equipment, but I know there's not much space to spare in the building. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

One of the nicest hotels I've stayed at in Europe period, including France and Italy. The room was very modern and clean. The smell of the hotel was also very fresh. They also had a nice bar for late drinks.

These folks go out of their way to make you enjoy your stay. Only problem is that there is. Construction next to the hotel and it suuuuucks. No siesta, construction. No bueno. Anyways, besides that, great hotel the location is prime.

Very lovely hotel with an excellent location. Located near major attractions such as the Prado museum and a good 10 minute walk to Sol. It was a relatively small hotel but wonderful interior design and very clean rooms. The staff were very courteous and helpful with any queries.

Our stay was excellent the staff was super friendly the hotel looks amazing the breakfast was well sorted and the location is in the heart of Madrid you are literally in the center of the city. The things that I didn't love all of the public transport methods are a 6~12 min walk and I stayed in a room with a king-size bed and it was stiff and hard which made sleeping a little uncomfortable.

  • 5/5 Bibby Mathew, D. 2 years ago on Google
The hotel is located centrally and close to major tourist attractions. The service was excellent, and everyone was friendly. I enjoyed the ambiance, the restaurant, and the cozy room. I would highly recommend this place for a stay in Madrid.

Enjoyed a great stay at this hotel in June. The staff were very friendly, housekeeping was immaculate and room service was prompt and friendly. I found the rooms to be spacious and updated. It was incredibly hot when I was there and I was immensely grateful for the air conditioning. Great location with restaurants and transportation within walking distance.

Absolutely phenomenal staff! Welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The hotel was in great shape and the people working there were fantastic. Very Americanized hotel which made it easy, everyone spoke English. The rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet was also fantastic for a hotel!

Fantastic staff. We enjoyed rm 501 which is terrific. Breakfast brunch is delicious and quite large . . . walk to all museums and a little further to the place. Loved our stay

Absolutely loved this hotel! Used my HH points for a massive discount which is handy, check in staff were very very friendly and professional. Room was spotless and lovely. Had an early check in, wasn’t rushed on check out. Washed my hair and found they provided hair straighteners with the hairdryer! Would 100% return and recommend for a Madrid base thanks!

This hotel is fantastic. Not only is it located in a great area, but also the hotel itself boasts a charming bar and dining area. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, and they went above and beyond to make our stay as nice as possible.

This hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of Madrid allowing us to walk instead of paying for a cab. We reached out to the hotel prior to our arrival to set up a car from the airport to hotel. They responded promptly and we had a car waiting for us at the airport. Madrid all around is a very affordable city to visit. The cab from the airport to hotel was 40 Euros, going back to the airport was only 30 Euros. Our hotel room was very nice but small. Even though we were Diamond Members and HGV owners we could not get an upgrade. It could be because of the hotel location. The front desk were wonderful and the free breakfast was excellent.

Love the interior design of this boutique hotel even though it is from Hilton group. The quality is above many Doubletree standard. The location is exceptional. Walking distance to many interesting places The breakfast is good but not too great with the price they charge. They are many others breakfast places around the areas which provide better options. Prepared to pay not-cheap-parking fees if you have a car staying at this hotel. Overall, this is a great hotel to visit again!

  • 5/5 Phil N. 1 year ago on Google
This is by far the best Double Tree I have stayed at, from the start to the end I have had a very good experience and nothing to complain about except the housekeeping didn’t restock the bathroom amenities (Shampoo, shower gel etc…). The breakfast and service was the most highlight there I got treated very well by the Hotel staff. I will definitely stay again in the future, way much better than the one in Lisbon for the same price and points.

I stayed here for a week on a business trip, and it was a great experience. The staff were amazing and helpful and very accommodating to travelers who only know a little Spanish. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and the rooms are a nice size with a good workspace. The gym has a nice selection of equipment. The location is in easy walking distance to lots of restaurants, attractions, and parks. The next time I travel to Madrid, I will absolutely stay here again.
