Brancusi made a wonderful thing for his city and for his country! It has transformed a common park from a common town into a true miracle!

The park, with all its beautiful monuments, it's a great place for either a peaceful walk, either an energizing jogging session. I've visited this place some years ago and there were people that were actually sitting on some of the chairs and all those sorts of unrespectful gestures... But, I had the chance of visiting the park today and there were guardians everywhere and also signs that were telling what was forbidden to do.

Brancusi made this to honor the soldiers from the first world war. Together, with endless column, kiss gate form an important attraction at Tg.Jiu

It is situated at the east side of the park near the river Jiu.It is forbidden to touch or sit at the table or chairs and police men are around to inforce the law. Don,t miss the promenade just above the site with the chairs.

When I first saw it, I thought it would be nice to take a photo on it, but later I learned that it is forbidden to even touch it :) Even though it looks like an ordinary thing built in the park from the outside, you can find the meaning that an architect and that city added to the background. Table walkway, kiss gate and infinity tower are the places you need to learn holistically (:

One of the few nice things to see in Târgu-Jiu. It is sad to see that no one takes care of it. The chairs are not leveled anymore. It is a shame.

It's part of Romanian culture, it's one of the last "modern" sculptures and the creation of one of the great masters of the trade. It's been a pleasure to see it and to enjoy it. The park in which this masterpiece is situated also contains two other great creations of Brâncuși, be sure to check them out!

It's a magical place and the fact that you can freely admire the works of the brilliant Brancusi at any time without restrictions makes this place a "must see"

Local authorities did a good job in keeping the Table in the spot, in a really nice park. They made sure that the sculptures are safe by having them supervised all day.

The Table of Silence (Masa Tacerii) is made in limestone with dimensions: panel diameter 2, 15 meters, thick 0,43 m and the leg is 2 m in diameter and 0,45 m thick. The Table of Silence represents the table around which gather the soldiers before confronting their enemy. At the same time, the 12 chairs stand in silance for the time disposed in hourglasses. Some make an analogy with The Last Supper of Leonardo da Vinci the monument being composed of 12 seats (representing the apostles) and in the middle Jesus Christ place.  Next comes the Chairs Alley representing those who participate without any implication, waiting for the end.
