Daylight robbery! I traveled far with high hopes for this experience. The cost was outrageous, charging ¥3000 for 70 minutes, and on special days it skyrocketed to ¥4800. To make matters worse, there were no other choices available. It's nothing more than a tourist trap, leaving me thoroughly disappointed. I was genuinely excited about this, but the owner showed no willingness to offer a lower price for a shorter duration. Japan has numerous cafés that are considerably cheaper, providing a more spacious and comfortable atmosphere.

The cafe is only a 10min walk or 650yen taxi ride from the local train station. Staff can speak English. Great place to visit if you like dogs, especially pugs. The people who run the the pug living room take so much care with their pugs and customers. They consider people with limited dog experience and talk about the stories behind each pug. The dogs here love attention and snuggles. They have young ones ranging from months old to the elderly 13 years old. Just check out their website calendar to see when they are open, for special events and pricing.

Absolute bliss. Adorable dogs and you know your money is going to take care of them. If you love dogs, you have to stop by, and if you love pugs, you’re a faker if you don’t take the time to visit!!! Amazing!

Google maps worked great to find the location. The staff were really excited to share info about the pugs and help you with pictures. The pugs were absolutely adorable and each had such unique personalities. An hour was plenty of time to get some snuggles in. It is a popular place even in the off season. The gift shop had a nice selection of pug themed products to take home.

If you love pugs, you will love this place. The dogs all seem to be happy and are very interactive. The treats flow freely so the animals stay very engaged throughout the visit. Ticket price is a bit expensive at around 3000 yen, but it is a lot of fun. Merch is cute.

We loved every second of cuddling and playing with the stinky and oooverly adorable pugs. They all are well taken care of and have such different personalities that it's hard to choose a favourite.

Attention all pug lovers! This is your home! With 15 pugs and plenty of time and stacks to give them, you feel nothing but love here. The staff are great and friendly. Each pug has their own personality and will give you a run for your money. You are allowed to bring your own pugs (unfortunately I don't have any yet) so long as you have all the paperwork you need. And the pugs seem to be good with other dogs. I spent a whole 3 hours here. Fully recommend stopping at this home away from home to see your favorite fur friends.

What a wonderful place to visit with some well cared for pugs. The dogs are healthy and of various ages and temperaments. Pricing was 2000 yen for 70 minutes which included a drink and a bowl of snacks for the dogs along with snacks for humans. 3000 yen was unlimited free time with the dogs. This was a weekday. Pricing is clear and easy to understand, if you don't understand it I don't know what to tell you. It's all listed beforehand and it's up to you if you think it's worth it. I personally think it's worth it since the dogs obviously are well cared for. As far as location there are options such as bus and taxi. It's not that far from the station. You can tell the owners love their dogs and the dogs themselves are wonderful. It was a great experience I hope I can go again soon

After a morning visiting shrines and temples this was a great little afternoon break. The owners were very welcoming and are genuinely nice people. You can tell they are extremely passionate about their pugs and each dog has it's own personality. Definitely worth visiting if you're in Kyoto.

Happiest day of my life. The staff was amazing and did a great job engaging guests and pugs. This is a DO NOT MISS when you are in Kyoto. 10/10 would recommend, so much fun.

If you are a pug person, this is THE PLACE for you to go!! The pugs roam around the living room and you get to feed them and just hangout with them - they're so well taken care of and they're all part of the same family!! They will jump on you and snort and lick and do all the amazing pug things we all love so much. I could easily spend hours just hanging out with the pugs - they even have a few babies! Amazing experience, can't miss it! I just went and im already ready to go back! #puglife

This is the second time I went pug cafe in Kyoto . They are so cute … this time they have an additional option pay alittle more to go another room with puppies and bb snacks. And you can go back to the common room with pugs anytime you like .you can also buy the jerky to treat the pugs additional round .Just need to inform them.I myself have pugs at home but just not enough. Location wise not very convenient so this time round we took a cab. Compared to those shiba and teacup dog cafe these pugs are really fun and we r allow to carry them. The Shiba and teacup cafe can only sit and wait for them to come over . No carrying is allowed,waste time and money.

You love pugs? You come here. All the pugs had amazing energy and very distinct personalities. Most of them are one giant family, and some are rescues. All of them are really cute. It's worth the price, and seeing such healthy happy pugs made our day especially delightful.

The place is cramped but enough to accommodate a number of people. The pugs are very friendly to people and have different traits and character. Definitely worth it if you love pugs and dogs in general.

Fun experience but a bit expensive. The staff do there best to get the dogs to stay with you, but as soon as your snacks are finished they move on to the next person. They are dogs after all. A bit cramped inside, but good enough for the hour. Arrive early. The was a queue of about 5 groups even on a weekday.

Definitely worth a trip out to if you love pugs. The owners were very kind to me and all the pugs were super cute and funny. For the price, I got snacks, unlimited drinks, and snacks for the dogs. The owners even gave me string cheese so I can get a photo with all the pugs! You can vote for your favorite pug too. I loved them all so it was hard to pick but two pugs in particular were very polite and mellow. Theres even a little gift shop in the front! Lots of cute pug stuff. Very cute and fun place to see when visiting Kyoto
