Have been keen to try this place since they've opened and they didn't disappoint. Great friendly service, and the food was amazing. Burgers were on point and the so we're the crunchy side chips. The place looks great, very clean and has a cool sailors theme to it to match their logo. They have a wide range of burgers to suit all, also do hotdogs and seafood. Will definitely be back to try the other burgers on the munu. Go check them out!! 🍔😋 FYI I tried the 'Junkie' recommend it! **2023 Update** Still continues to be the best burgers in the Port! Amazing Chips, the Junkyard Dog burger was sensational!! Definitely recommend!

Got some Fish and Chips from this and they tasted good. No extra charge for grilled fish. Also the Tartare Sauce came free. It was 15 dollars for 2 pieces of fish and the chips. A lady working there passed me a fork and a knife to use on the food which was unexpected for this type of place

This place is a great fish and chip joint with fresh quality and excellent pricing! Went here for a lazy Sunday dinner, and was throughly impressed with the set up of interior and customer service they provided. Really proximal to the pier with accessible parking! The chips were crunchy and complemented the tartare sauce perfectly, and the grilled Hake fillet was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing! Will definitely be coming back when I’m in Port Adelaide area again!

This was the first time I've visited Salty Dog fish & chip shop and boy was I blown away. I still can't believe how much of a hidden gem this place is. I saw one of their big burgers online and thought. I have to find / try this place I ordered the exact burger I saw online and I definitely was not disappointed 🍔❤️👌

We were looking for somewhere to have a late lunch 2pm while looking at the museums in town. This is a little Gem. We ordered the seafood basket and the budgie smuggler burger. Best chicken burger we have ever had.Great food and great service. Purchased a tee shirt I was so impressed. Thanks you from the WA travellers!!!!

But what a wonderful surprise! we recently moved to Port Adelaide and have already started our search for food in the region, an excellent way to discover our new home. And so we opted to try Salty Dog based on the reviews, and I say it went beyond expectation. As fans of sandwiches and hamburgers, it will be difficult to find a place that surpasses the quality of Salty Dog. It is worth mentioning that the service was wonderful, and the environment is super cozy, and yes, I was a little afraid of suffering cross-contamination because I am allergic to seafood, but my loves, I returned home intact hahaha. Extra point for safe handling of the kitchen. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely enjoyed the fish and chips at SALTY DOG SEAFOOD AND GRILL! We visited during lunch hours, and the place was bustling. The staff was welcoming, and the freshly prepared fish and chips were crispy and delicious. The sauces were excellent too!

We read the reviews after craving 'good ol fish n chips'. So happy we called in! We had fish n chips which were awesome. Meaty pieces of fish, beautifully cooked. Chips were as described - crispy, creamy and perfect portion. We couldn't leave without trying The Budgiesmuggler' (see pic). Could barely get my chops around it, covered in yummy burgery juices. Bloody delicious!!!! Thank you for filling us up with yumminess. Will definitely revisit when in the area 🍔🐠🍟

Salty dog is cute but very small. I was impressed that they had some indoor dining areas. A large range of interesting food is available. Staff were friendly but slightly stressed. I recommend phoning on your order so it can be quickly collected. There are limited waiting areas inside and on the road outside.

Must be one of Port Adelaide's best kept secrets. We had great burgers and the crispiest chips. They have a good range of home made sauces to spice it up. Others raved about fish and chips - "best fish and chips in the Southern hemisphere". Really nice friendly and quick service, in a nice setting. I thoroughly recommend Salty Dog Seafood and Grill.

Excellent food and reasonable prices. Staff were nice and accommodating. I think this place has ruined other fish and chip shops for me because it's just so damn good!

My only mistake coming here was that I ordered too much. The cheese steak roll was delicious and fresh. The chips were good and tasted, just as good the next day. Would highly recommend a visit when you are here.

This is the second time I've been here and the food gets better and better. Wouldve taken an uneaten picture but was too excited 😆 Food was called the bin chicken (good name)

Fish and chips and a surf and turf roll (not both for me). Very tasty, great crunchy chips. Solid steak and prawns, very filling.

This is my favorite smash burger place North of Port Norulunga. This the single had a double the other night. They really smash it and fry it - a real nice crust forms with a ton of flavour. A little pickle and the sauce balances everything out. Great stuff - funky little location. Steps to the water if you want to eat on the Port River

Delicious Philly steak cheese rolls and chips! One of the best I have had and I love these. Will be back, all the food sounded and looked yum. Would like to see deep-fried mars bars on the menu for dessert :)
