We came out for a round and the course is terrible condition. The grounds are in a really bad way, I understand that there are some holes that massive repair is happening, that's more than fine, all courses do that... but to charge full price for a round per person on days where the greens have been worked on so they have giant creators on them making your putts bounce more than a chip seems unfair to say the least. It's very hard to want to return when for the same price you can play on much better presented courses. Maybe there are investing into it or doing some major work but if that's the case then the cost of a round needs to be at least half what they're charging.

Membership & Casual visit fee is very reasonable. The fairway & green are in good condition. The grass hitting area in the driving range is very good. But only allow to hit irons only. Range ball condition is mint.

UPDATE: 8/12/22 The course was in very good condition. The greens were particularly fast ........... making for a challenging day. The couch fairways had an excellent coverage of grass. We had another great day out and look forward to our next round. UPDATE: 16/7/21 The undulating greens were in excellent condition and as usual they were challenging and great to putt on. We have just come off a very wet week and as expected the course was well drained. The fairways had excellent coverage. Staff (and members) are always welcoming. We look forward to our next round of golf. Please read my previous reviews. UPDATE: 23/10/20 When we play Thaxted Park, we are always reminded of the lovely bushland setting and the challenging layout of the course. What a difference rain makes. The course has received significant rainfall over winter and spring. The dams are the fullest I’ve seen them. The course is looking the best it has for the last couple of years. The fairways in particular have recovered from a particularly dry period a couple of years ago. There was an excellent coverage of couch grass on the fairways. The ball sat up beautifully with excellent ball roll. The greens were in very good condition given that they were cored a few weeks earlier. Well done to the ground staff - we also noticed a group of volunteers working around the course- a shout out to them as well. As usual, Matt was very welcoming in the pro shop. Thaxted is one of our favourite courses to play down south- be sure to add It to your bucket list of golf courses to play in South Australia. UPDATE: 1/5/20 We just had a couple of days of very heavy rain including overnight ....... The course was in excellent condition. Great drainage. There were no “boggy” patches around the course. We got excellent roll on the fairways. The greens were in excellent condition. A great course to play in winter given many other courses can get boggy. Well done to the ground staff. Matt was very welcoming in the pro shop. An excellent value course to play.

Good course to play. Offers a variety of water hazards, sand bunkers and down right tricky fairways to play. Clubhouse attendant was friendly. Bar and restaurant here also. There are 3 PGA golf players here who teach golf lessons. Open to the public to play also. There is a practice putting green and a driving range.

Lovely course. Quite a bit wider than my regular course (Willunga) had my first ever eagle putt here which missed, but still stoked to get the opportunity. Keep up the great work! Thanks guys

On a Friday night the Golf Club is the venue for a lively and well run quiz night. My (enormous) prawns in tempura batter with a Bloody Mary dipping sauce were so piping hot I had to take my time eating them. Their butter chicken is a firm favourite with just about everyone who goes there. Great venue, reasonably priced and excellent service.

Good atmosphere, food is average was disappointing last time barely any vegetables with a $36 steak! Same with the lamb disappointed

Well maintained, interesting layout course. Some big beautiful greens and testing course management required. Good practice facilities and welcoming clubhouse. Glad to tick this one off the bucket list.

Get down to Thaxted Park, friendly staff and club pros. Golf course is great, challenging but suitable for golfers of all talents.

Went in for dinner, the staff were amazing and funny. He really explained the menu well. Food was even better! We will be back again!

Had a great day at Thaxted Park Golf Club, new holes are looking fantastic. Course condition has improved dramatically. Defiantly not the same place as 2 years ago.

Went on a Thursday night for the Rump an Red and was extremely happy.. cooked perfectly to type asked for... the butter chicken (gravy) which we had on our chips was sublimmmeeee!!!!

Foods great, variety of beer on tap and bottled. Different events on each night, quiz night Fridays!

They knew there would be 120 plus players and had 2 bar staff on for coffee getting meals and drinks not good enough

The scenery is amazing I'll definitely be on the grounds a lot more from now on heck I might even get a membership here

Monroe Golf Club had their Christmas ambrose today at Thaxted. Great day had by all - course is in really lovely condition. The food platters organised for us afterwards was reall good too. Well done Thaxted. ⛳🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️🎅👍🤗
