The store has had a makeover recently and this has resulted in a generally cleaner, fresher feel. The deli looks really good. There is now an addition of a John Lewis homeware section which I have to say is a little bit underwhelming. Overall this store is in a convenient location with good parking.

Most horrible store you can ever find.. I feel staff is bit racist and very impolite to customer needs.. every time I go there, the service is just awful.. and also the security guard at store just make you feel that you are here to steal by looking at skin colour.. hope they will do something to address this.. in general John Lewis train your staff better and make them learn some professionalism..

I really wish I could give the staff here 6 stars! Polite, helpful and friendly staff who really make you feel at ease whilst shopping. Brilliant.

My favourite place for groceries! It's not a massive branch bit they stock pretty much everything and since it's around residential area, it's mostly families visiting. I love bringing my little one to do a bit relaxed shopping. Plenty of parking spaces available.

We pass through Sanderstead very now and then. Good car parking, well laid-out store, helpful staff.

Near Shell petrol station. Price bit high than other shop but inside is clean and good quality food grocery. Easy access with Bus 403.

We were in the Sanderstead store yesterday afternoon (3.30 - 4 pm ish) as we only had a basket of shopping and there was no cue at the kiosk we were very happy to pay at that till. The young man who served us (in his 20s maybe) was very polite and extremely helpful, a real credit to the store.👏👏

Attempted to pay for two items this morning at the front Waitrose Desk in the Sanderstead store. Was told by an extremelly rude female member of staff that I could not pay there & had to pay at the tills. When I explained that I had been purchasing items & paying at that front desk for years she stated that was I was wrong & incorrect! No people skills & lacks basic training. Shocking for an upmarket Supermarket to employ staff like this one! Lesson. Do not argue with your customers!!

Really helpful staff and great selection but I wish some of the self-service machines took cash.

Such a shame, the aesthetics of the shop are lovely, the products are great, but the service! Some of the older staff are very helpful and polite; unfortunately, others are lacking basic good manners. When one is paying a premium for items, a simple good morning for example is the least one can expect from 'partners'. The staff generally seem demoralised, miserable and dare I say jealous, they require a much-needed lesson on how to treat and interact with customers. Poor, such a waste, it would seem the staff don't comprehend that the customers experience is key to their success...and continued employment.

Great supermarket. Excellent choice of produce. Wear a jacket or sweater because the air conditioning is very efficient. No cafe sadly.

Absolutely ludicrous prices. Furthermore it is commonplace for them to have so called “discounted” fresh items listed on the shelves, and then when you go and pay for them they not only charge the full undiscounted price but sometimes even more than that, and then make you feel like you are the problem for keeping them accountable. Also they have perpetual problems with keeping basics like milk in stock and not out of date. Aaaaaand now they’ve cancelled Warburtons for not being woke enough.

I regularly go to this store and more often than not there's a lack of produce on the shelves, in particular fruit and veg. They either don't keep enough produce stored or delivery to the store is poor.

Can't thank Waitrose Sanderstead enough for their support, understanding and kindness when I had a mental health issue in the shop today. Particular thanks to the first aider Stuart. The produce in this store is the best 👌 🙂

My daughter was sick in store today and a lovely lady who happened to work in the Croydon Waitrose branch, was out doing her weekly shop, was quick to assist myself and my wife. We cannot thank this lady enough, she quickly grabbed us some baby wipes and helped sort out our shopping for us. Thank you Waitrose!

Pleasant shopping place with all usual provisions you expect. Staff are courteous. Ample parking normally.

First time today I visited store as I fancied a change from the other food stores in the area. I was not disappointed staff were very friendly and helpful which is always a good sign of a well run food store. Easy to get in and out and park as well. Will definitely come back to shop again at store.

I am a great believer that you should always have quality over quantity. Waitrose certainly gives quality

Recently refurbished in July 2021 with a new butcher and deli counter.

In midst of a revamp and so trying to find your favourite food is somewhat trying.

Staff very unfriendly. Store needs replaning. Thinks in the wrong place. Why are cold drinks ie water half way down the store. Some staff should be in retirement. Need younger staff. Why do you have to have security staff ( always black Male) standing by entrance?.

An excellent shopping experience. The staff are always so friendly and helpful and there were plenty of bargins to be had.

I was Happy They had exactly what I wanted which was Dragon Fruit. Other supermarkets are not so adventurous with their exotic fruits. Well done Waitrose. In addition very welcoming and friendly staff at the checkout

Lovely store environment and a great choice of products. A real breath of fresh air shopping here (as I did after lunchtime). Truly peaceful and pleasant.

Ludicrous prices, unhelpful staff, the new make over looks nice but it would help if the shelves had products on them!

Good range of items, fast and efficient click and collect service. They have some really nice food.

Visited today and while inside is good and selection is good, the litter around the trolly park and car park is not what I would have expected from Waitrose Sanderstead.

Good helpful staff. Small branch but thankfully it has self-serve tills as well as manned checkouts.

I think this is an excellent Waitrose store. It isn't huge but has a full range and is normally well stocked. The tills are always manned and there are self service options. The car park always has spaces. Staff are typically very helpful and friendly.

I am a big fan of this store. However, today was not my usual experience. As I started putting my trolley contents onto the checkout conveyor belt, the cashier immediately started swiping them through the till and loading everything up at the end. By the time I had finished loading, there was a huge pile I had to pack away. He seemed quite impatient having to wait for me to pay. This is definitely not my normal experience here. The staff are friendly and very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The store is well stocked for a small store and there is excellent parking available.
