Lovely small pub with amazing food & friendly staff, I would definitely recommend! The only reason I can’t give 5 stars is because the parking situation isn’t great.

Simply incredible. The roast is the best in Somerset bar none. My parents have driven an hour here twice to join me now! Highly recommended. Friendly staff, perfect service, lovely beer and wine. 5 star 🌟 My pooch was welcome too. Keep up the good work Richard and Rebecca 👏

A gastro pub serving amazing food. We had belly pork which was really tasty, masterchef territory. Chicken breast and hake and chips, both done to perfection. Veg and potatoes very good. Portions generous, too. Can't comment on the beer but the scrumpy cider was good. Nice Chilean merlot too. Desserts excellent, especially the chocolate terrine. Dog friendly with attentive and friendly staff and prompt service. Only 5 parking places but it's possible to park on the narrow lane nearby at a pinch.

A very welcoming return visit, to a really good gastro pub. The food is outstanding, the lovage veloute with smoked eel probably the best soup ever tasted, as smooth and rich as could be created. Chicken with a Middle Eastern stuffing and hispi cabbage perfect. The burger as always rich with the flavours of the grill, the triple cooked chips crispy as can be outside soft and smooth inside. The whole finished with a lemon posset topped with granola and strawberries. The menu changes frequently, so what we enjoyed may not be on for your visit, but whatever is will be wonderful. As much as can be sourced locally. What's not to like. Booking is essential and a visit not to be missed. All the right precautions are in place.

We were staying in the next village and The White Horse was recommended. During our 2 weeks in Somerset and Devon we ate at many pubs and had great meals but this one was the best. We liked it so much we ate here again the next day. The care and attention put into each dish is evident in the taste and presentation. Friendly service cannot be faulted. Highly recommend.

More like a Michelin star restaurant without the prices. Staff were very accommodating and relaxed. The food.... Omg the food!!!! All food is cooked from scratch, even the brioche buns for the burger! The flavours are immense! Outstanding presentation. Beautiful garden to enjoy their finest wines. We loved it so much we booked in for the next evening! Well done team!

What a find. We showed up as a party of 25 ish with 4 well-behaved and sociable dogs and including lots of children at 2pm on a sunny Saturday, having walked across the fields from our campsite. We should have booked, but fortunately we were post-lunch rush. The team accommodated us easily, and the kitchen turned out fabulous food in impressive time, considering the number of us. It was idyllic, the service was great, and we felt very lucky to be there. I hope this pub goes from strength to strength. Please seek it out, in this beautiful village and part of the world (and don’t be like us, do the kitchen a favour and book!)

Peaceful country pub with an excellent chef who provides an innovative menu with Italian under-tones. Personal and smiling service to table. A place well worth seeking out.

The BEST Sunday Lunch I think we have ever had!! Simply delicious. The Sunday Roast Platter is amazing. Food and service were exceptional and very good value for money!
