Beautiful architecture, grounds and walkways. Highly recommended!

Part of the larger field and quad on a rolling hill in the middle of the campus. Not a great place for athletic pursuits due to the hill, but a great place for picnicking or reading a book. Fairly quiet due to the open area and buildings hemming it in, though there is a fair amount of foot traffic.

Ruth J Simmons Quad is open to the public and a great spot to hang out on the grass. It is surrounded by Brown dorm and academic buildings so assume that there will be college students, Brown facilities folks, and possibly loud music or exciting spikeball games nearby, but everyone kinda does their own thing so this is a good semi-public spot to rest in the shade or picnic.

This is a nice area to study or even just to chat with friends and oeers on the Brown University Campus. Also The Providence Ghost tours start their historical storytelling in that very quad and then proceed to walk around the College hill area, truly an event to experience if you live in Rhode Island or the Providence area.
