5 stars is just not enough. The only product Elvis Presley ever did a commercial for. His pay? A hot, fresh, box of glazed donuts! They're simply that good. Look it up for yourself. And then do yourself a favor and try some!

The lady at the front desk was so nice... we talk a little bit and she was such a nice lady... about the donuts as good as always, my little kid loves the apple fritter its soooo good...

It's a great little pastry shop. Staff was friendly and you gotta try the cream cheese chocolate covered donuts. Awesome little place.

Southern Maid Donuts are the best donuts you will ever eat. Love this place.

They never have enough at 4p Hot and Ready at 4:28p doesn't exist. Can't get 6 must wait another 30min. Not the first time just the time that has pushed me to complain and maybe rethink my loyalties. They are NOT the most sanitary as the lady that cooks will touch everything and go outside with her gloves on. I'm writing this low star review so maybe someone with Ownership will reach out. King cakes are overly sweet but nice to have nearby. Just order with no glaze. The service is polite enough just apathetic about demand. Or, unable to gauge how much to prep.

A hidden gem with fast, friendly service! Get there early for the boudain kolaches, apple fritters big enough for 2 people, fresh, hot doughnuts which include specialties, and best of all, flavored Christmas king cakes made by request! They close at 1 pm

I went the other night for some donuts. The cashier told me that it would be about 15-20 minutes. I told her that I would go back and wait in my truck. I witnessed the lady in the back get two buckets to take to the dumpster. She jumped in her truck, pulled down to the middle of the parking lot to the dumpster, got out and opened the lid of the dumpster…emptied the two buckets. She got back in her truck and came back to the side of the building where she was parked. Went back inside. She never washed her hands nor did she change gloves. With those same gloves she used to drive her pick up truck and open the lid of the dumpster was the same gloves she proceeded to go cook doughnuts in. I told the guy next to me outside what I witnessed. It was too late for him because he prepaid. Me….I pulled off. I’ll just continue to go in the morning time where the staff is more friendlier anyway.

I am from Texas my wife is from Louisiana and all this time she had been raving about SMD,.......so I stop to try it, I ask for a dozen donuts the lady at the front counter told me they only had 10 donuts and she treated me like I was begging for food. The lady in the back even told me I should have came earlier. Needless to say I bought my dirty dozen and was not impressed, I've had better donuts and service at the local gas station. I won't be doing business with Southern Maid Donuts ever again.

Something foul was definitely awry this morning. I arrived shortly after 9 AM and there were several folks waiting, a female clerk, and a male baker. There’s no nice way to say it but the clerk had lost her mind and was scampering around, muttering unspeakable things, primarily to herself. Other than a pile of donut holes and a dozen sprinkle covered donuts, the display case was empty. Apparently they ran out of supplies or perhaps someone called in sick and left them short handed. No explanation was given, but the clerk abruptly closed the store at 9:30 AM and started turning customers away. When I went to pay, I think the clerk “accidentally” dropped one of my dollar bills, and then suggested that I short changed her. Pretty sure that wasn’t the case but if she needed a single dollar that bad, she can have it. My order was completed and the donuts were delicious but this was a very weird, very awkward experience that will keep me from returning.

These donuts were amazingly fresh and fantastic! A local favorite were decided to try. I think I ate these donuts for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert--- for 2 days. I should've never bought a dozen.... because I'm too greedy to share, I bought my grand kids their own dozen. I'm so ridiculous! Go... enjoy!

They had glazed doughnuts that I bought for under $10. Not hot, mot even luke warm, flat out cold. They only had chocolate covered & reg doughnuts, chocolate covered & reg twist, apple fritters, cinnamon rolls, doughnuts with pink icing with sprinkles and doughnuts holes. Was looking for blueberry ole fashion and ole fashion doughnuts. The merchant was nice and the facility was clean. No variety……

I went around 8:15am 8/5/22. I had to wait about 8 minutes for freshly cooked glazed doughnuts but it was worth the wait. They are so good but even better freshly cooked. The people that work there are very nice but that music they were playing got on my nerves.

Best donuts ever had in my whole life. I live in Tennessee now and every chance I get to get some of the donuts I jump on it. Wish we had Southern Maid donuts in Columbia, Tennessee. People there would actually know what real donuts taste like then. I love ❤️ you Southern Maid!

Nice people but can't count. I always order a dozen or two donut holes. I always end up with 15 to 18 donuts holes per dozen ordered.

Wish I knew when they cooked the holes, I would love to try them flesh and hot.🤔

We stopped by here on our way out of town and the sweet lady behind the counter asked if we wanted warm donuts. She made our glazed donuts right then and let me tell you! They were the best donuts I’ve ever had!! And we are from Fort Worth, TX!! If you’re driving by and they’re open, STOP! So good!!

I was hoping to visit and receive fresh hot donuts this morning but instead the cashier informed me that the cook wasn't making anymore at the moment.So I got the batch that she said we're just made. If these were just made then why were they not hot or at the very least warm? We didn't have time to sit n argue about the issue but if I remember correctly when u ask for hot fresh donuts doesn't that mean the cook is to make them hit n fresh until 10 am??? This makes the second time I've came to this shop n have been turned down on hot donuts. The owner may need to correct this please because its not good for any business to advertise hot n fresh if the workers refuses to make them.

Young lady brought the donuts out once they where fresh made to us. Always clean and the people are so friendly. I drive across town to this store for my donuts. I won't go to any of the other ones
