Being a home for single miners way back when, it has a very rustic charm to it. Sandi and Tony are kind, funny, straight shooters who seek to make every single person feel welcome. Their heart for Gary, Welch, and McDowell county comes through in their conversation. Plenty of different rooms for different needs. Awesome breakfasts! I will remember the care given me the most while I stayed. Iā€™m coming back, guaranteed.

I recently led a missions team to McDowell County and we needed a place to stay. Needless to say there aren't many options in the county. Sandi and Tony came through with not just supplying us with comfortable rooms and got breakfast, but they also provided us with outreach opportunities in the community. The rooms were perfect for what we need. Sandi and Tony treated us as if we were lifelong friends. It was an excellent stay

I have stayed in some of the top notch hotels and resorts to your regular hotels. This was my first time in a Bed and Breakfast. This place is hands down the best I have ever stayed anywhere. The hospitality by Sandi and Tony was above what I ever expected. The food she cooked was amazing, the history is mind blowing and the warm friendly greeting was the best. I felt like I was at home the whole time and I felt like Sandi and Tony had always been our friends. Now I consider them my family and look forward to going back real soon.

Just stayed the weekend here and it was wonderful. Sandy and Tony treat you like family. Sandy is an awesome cook. Breakfast and dinner each night was delicious. It was so nice to come in from a long day riding and have a hot meal ready for you. The house is very spacious and there is plenty of parking. After dinner each night my friends and I would socialize in one of the living room areas. These folks are definitely a blessing to their community and to trail riders. I highly recommend this place and we will be back.

I've stayed here with Sandy and Tony twice now and from the moment we stepped through the front door it was like being welcomed home. The house is filled with comfortable beds with warm clean blankets and lots of love! Sandy is an awesome cook, breakfast and dinner are always plentiful and well prepared. Don't come here on a diet, Sandy will have you chowing down on biscuits and gravy before you leave!!!! Eva's House is a permanent fixture in our planning of trips to ride HMT.

We have stayed at Eva's House multiple times and always look forward to returning. When you walk through the doors you feel as if you are home! Staff is always very welcoming and accommodating! They cater to guests that visit WV to ride the Hatfield McCoy and Outlaw Trails but they welcome anyone visiting the area! They've even held at least one wedding on the grounds. They serve breakfast in the mornings and also offer dinner options some evenings. All linens are provided! The house is full of history and the owners/operators can tell you all about it! You will not be disappointed!

This is a difficult place to describe. It's your grandmothers house, but your best friends own it now. The previous reviews talk about the food and hospitality and every word is true. Amazing to wake to the smell of hot coffee (Sandy's famous, LOL) and Tony's bacon on the back porch griddle!! For those who come to enjoy and ride the trails, this place is extra special. The Blankenship's are riders as well and they know the area. I ride many different systems and stayed in many places, but this is unique and memorable in every way. Tony and Sandy have never met a stranger after the first handshake and do everything possible to make you feel at home.
