Nice hike with brathtaking views. This was a very nice hike. It takes around 30 minutes to the top but when you are up there you'll get rewarded with breathtaking views from different angles.

Well it's quite a walk up the hill but I took some water and got up to the top and wow what have you if you make the trip up the mountain it is well worth it lot of spots it's quite easy the pathway is a lot better than what it used to be they spend a bit of time fixing up the path I do recommend going up the hill if you have the time the views are excellent from mwh

World War 2, gun site. The original wooden ammunition racks plus wooden dining seatting and tables are still in place. However, the local Council has had this area welded to prevent access. However, adventurous access is available via the very well hidden air vents.

One of the best things at Port Stephens, a must go.

Breathtaking views. The walk is on a flat ground so it’s not much of a struggle if you have problems in walking. The views is definitely worth a visit. There’s a car park at the start of the walk which was very quiet when I went there but that was in August. I don’t know how busy it will get in the peak times. Best start is to ask for a map at the Tourist Information centre located near the ferry wharf. The ferry goes to Tea Gardens. It is also where you can buy the tickets for the ferry and any other tours like watching the dolphins.

Gorgeous short 1km hike to the summit, beautiful 360 views at the top. Lots of stairs near the top, there are a few options to choose a paved path or traditional hiking path. These can be down in sneakers or even summer sandals if you didn’t pack hiking boots. It took me 12 minutes to get to the top, only stopping twice for a quick picture.

About 1 km of very scenic vegetation, elevated walk away. Moderate ability. Some climbing up the stairs. The views were awesome. You can see many bays and coves from the summit. Definitely worth a visit when you’re in this area.

We drove 3 hours from Sydney to Port Stevens to spend the afternoon on the beach, go to Tomaree Head and see the sand dunes. It was well worth the drive! It's a great escape from the city - away from the crowds! Tomaree Head point was not a hard trek but it was a very hot day so some people who were slightly out of shape had struggled with the heat! Great photo op at the top as well! The trail is not rocky and there is no need for any hiking boots!

This place was definitely the highlight of my visit to Port Stephens. The view from the head of mount tomaree was breath taking. Anyone visiting Port Stephens, Tomaree head is a must-go. Its a long like but once you reach the top you would realize how worthwhile it is. However, please take a note that its a ~1km hill walk so might not be suitable for everyone or parents with baby prams.
