Hookah lounge. For what it tries to be it gets 5 starts Food - as can be expected at bar grill but more focus on Mediterranean. The unique items like octopus and the avocado hummus and pickled olives gets extra credit. Other than that, youll be have your typical bar grill. Ambiance - it's a hookah lounge so expect a lot of smoke. We are not smokers but never visited a hookah lounge so wanted to give it a try. The crowd was mellow but it was busy even at midnight giving a vibrant feel. Music was too loud so I deducted a star (but they earned it back with the variety of food) Cost - average, maybe a little expensive. We didn't do the hookah so can't judge that Just watch out for the service charge. Service - they were on top of the service. Especially the hookah expert who was running around making sure everyone's coals were hot and priming all the hookah for use

I think this place honestly has the best hookah in NJ. I used to have to go all the way to South Brooklyn to smoke hookah because places in NJ didn’t cut it. I’ve been to other places in Paterson and one place in Jersey City. Thank G-d my friend told me about Lulu because it is my go-to here in Jersey— not only because of their hookah but also because of their exceptional service, great Turkish food, and lovely ambience. Other places I’ve been to trade off one thing for the other but Lulu keeps it consistent. Place starts to get more packed after 9 and it’s BYOB.

I am in total disbelief about how this place works. The opening hours start at 10:30am on Saturday, this is what my friend who made the reservation was advised and also what it says on the schedule. Reservation was made for 11am. When we get there with my other friend, we were even wondering if the place was even open. No sound, no people nothing. The only guy sees us and tries to communicate, however, he doesn't speak English. Ok, I understand this but if that's the case, who is going to taka care of us. Using Google translate!!!, we were able to tell the guy about the reservation... but he had no idea!!! Anyway, we chose the sitting area and even by the time my other friends arrive, nothing was ready! They did not come to ask about what we needed, we had to ask for glasses ourselves so we can drink our things (byob) all of this through Google translate or while making an effort with our hands to be understood. Later on, finally another person arrives who speaks English, we were able to put our orders, and yes, the food was great but once again, the service was simply soooo bad. Nobody approached us to see how everything was, nobody asked about ice (once again we asked by waving the guys who never cared to come to our table) no service to pour our drinks in our glasses (at least, since everything else was bad), nobody asked if we needed water when it's the middle of summer and it's extremely hot outside!!! We finished our things and nobody removed the plates, so we're making space ourselves on the table!! How?? How is that a restaurant operates like this?? The place was empty, so no excuses about a crowded and understaffed place, just no service! The worst I've ever experienced! At the end, they gave us a plate of fruit "on the house" but I'm sorry, this won't fix the terrible or non existent service you guys offered throughout the entire morning. And still, an 18% tip was automatically added to our tab! We didn't say anything, but it was definitely not deserved! I'm in disbelief about this place!! I will not return, I will not recommend.

This was definitely a nice date not spot and a place that is good for groups. They have a really nice size hookah. The quality of the hookah was nice too. I love that they have a parking lot which is a nice treat in this area. The calamari is pretty great with the white sauce. The salmon was prepared well the veggies had some oil but seasoned well. The shrimp entree I recommend for sure. It was well seasoned alone with the veggies and salads. I would come back here with a group of friends as well. I do think the entrees were a little pricey but reasonable for this area. You will be seeing me here again.

The food was subpar compared to the cost. The calamari smelled very fishy and not very crispy. The lamb chops and kebabs were okay. I have definitely had better. The service was good.

Mashallah this place was in the cut of edgewater, you would never think it’s there since it’s in the corner and a car wash under it but it was actually really delicious and the inside was pretty cool. I came here with my in laws for lunch and wow very fresh and yummy… we ordered so much food the only thing is the prices for the drinks are alittle expensive but they were fresh and delicious I have to say my favorite was the lebna avocado wow delicious!!!!! Definitely recommend coming here they also have hookah as well.

We celebrated my sisters birthday last night. Although our table had 20 people, from the setup to the service throughout the night was amazing! Both the manager and the staff were very kind, helpful, and attentive. Thank you all for making my sisters special day a memorable one. All the guests had a blast! If any of you are planning a special event, rest assured this venue will make sure everything goes smoothly, with all hands on deck! Thank you to the manager himself Ozgur and the entire LULU lounge family. It was a night to remember. 💗

Had early Saturday dinner. Brought sparkling rose which went well with our dinner. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious! Sheperd salad was refreshing, babaganoush tasted great with pita bread, grilled octopus was very tender with crispy and tangy brocolli and carrot, liver was perfectly cooked and seasoned with sauteed red onions and the lamb shish was soft and tender with rice and salad. Finished off the meal with turkish tea and baklava. Enjoyed the dinner very much.

The food here was very great and delicious. It’s a BYOB spot and has hookah too. For appetizers we ordered the baba ganoush, borek, and a salad. We then ordered the mixed grill which feeds 2 maybe 3 adults. For dessert we had the knafa and a yougurt type dessert. All was very good and tasty! Quick service as well. Thank you!

The best Mediterranean restaurant I’ve been to on the east coast with the most hospitable staff and friendliest owners. MUST STOP.

Came across this place on Uber Eats and and saw great reviews. I live about 15-20 mins away and and we tried the mix grill. Some of the meats were a little dry while others were still very juicy. The salad was fresh and everything overall was well seasoned. It’s probably better when you dine in but I didn’t have the luxury of doing so on this occasion. Will give this place another try when I can make it in-person. For delivery, it’s so so, decent but not something I would order again.

Went for Mother's day for lunch. Had a pleasant relaxing time. Nothing feel rushed. The people who own and work there are amazing.Make you feel at home. Food was delicious. We sat inside as we had kids and didnt want hookah around. But a beautiful place tucked away. Would definitely be back.

This place is byob but for a small pitcher of juice it costs $25 dollars…… it’s SMALL. The food looked like it tasted good but was missing so much flavor. The place is pricey and in the cut. If you like hookah then go here. Make sure to bring wine and NOT liquor (for those that like mixing their drinks)so you don’t have to buy a pitcher of juice or soda lol. Overall the service was great, music is good, atmosphere is chill. Like I said, food is ehhhh and in my opinion super pricey, but if you like hookah and wine this is your place.

A place I realized purchases 6 of pre-prepared tiramisu for 12$ from Costco and serves them for 9$ each to their customers, that was fun but tasty. They still have best hookah but please put more attention on Turkish coffee and how your tables standing I couldn't enjoy my coffee because of the shaking of it, half of the coffee was spilled. Waiters were so nice.

An absolute gem in Edgewater! The staff at Lulu Mediterranean Lounge is exceptional—attentive, friendly, and accommodating. The Mediterranean cuisine is simply delicious, offering a delightful blend of flavors. Plus, their hookah selection is fantastic. A must-visit spot for anyone craving amazing food, excellent service, and a great hookah experience!
