Absolutely top drawer baked goods and pastries whether savoury or sweet. The cinnamon bun is a personal favourite. Plenty of choice for vegans too. Delicious coffee and — despite what another reviewer states — babyccinos for the kids are free 🙌🏼 Don’t miss it!

The most gorgeous independent cake and coffee shop in Hitchin - a must visit if you're in the town centre or even just passing through. They have both sweet and savoury treats available with plenty of choice for Vegans too - however the Marmite and Cheese buns should not be missed! There is also a selection of birthday and occasional cards available too (as well as candles!), so its a one-stop-birthday-shop!

We ordered our daughter's christening cakes from Neighborhood Bakes and they were amazing!!! Not only do they look incredible but importantly, they also taste delicious. We also ordered some Vegan cakes and they did not disappoint. Simply divine! We could not be happier with the punctual service, friendly staff and most delicious cakes!!! Yum! Will definitely be ordering more from here.

Even though they were booked up, Neighbourhood Bakes very kindly fit in a last minute Civil Partnership cake. We were over the moon with our cake (and mini cakes)! It looked stunning and tasted divine! If you're looking for a 'modern art' take on a wedding cake then Neighbourhood Bakes are for you.

I actually didn’t know cakes could taste this good! The sponge is light and fluffy, and the cream is just right, not too sweet or sickly. They’re absolutely beautiful as well, will definitely be back to try the rest! Great service with a smile too.

Helena is so talented and creative - we were blown away by how beautiful the cake was, as were all our guests! Not only that, it was the most delicious cake we have ever tasted - incredible! We went for carrot on the top tier and chocolate fudge on the lower tier. The brief wasn’t exactly standard as they also printed my illustration on edible icing around the side of the cake, which was so beautifully done and made it so personal and unique. The flowers which decorated the cake were stunning too! Everything was so special and we are over the moon to have chosen Neighbourhood Bakes as our wedding cake supplier.
