Wonderful location on very beautiful mountainside with great views. Is a small site. Unfortunately while I was there, a visitor fell from the viewing platform because the wood was rotten. Somehow, he got away with hurting/breaking his leg; it was a miracle it wasn't his neck or back... The little museum nearby is a gem (all in Spanish)

Easy 20 minutes walk up to the reasonably well preserved archeological site at a moderate steady pace. Well laid out stone steps throughout. Great views of the town below and the mountains around from the top. Information placards laid out throughout the route and at the top describe the history of the place very well. Entry costs 65 peso per adult, children go free and students get a discount. Open from 9 am.

Out of the ordinary, nice temple carved in the stone, getting up there is really not that hard unless you are really out of shape. Awesome place for taking pictures and story of this place is really great

This arqueologic zone is beyond spectacular, really there is monolithic construction than only two more places over the world have that kind of antiques constructions.

It's one of so many magic towns (pueblo magic) in the beautiful and historical México which is rich in culture. If you want to know some history from the mexicas, you will get to know it and see it in this town. It's a little far from the city but you're going to love it.

All house owners around own noisy and histerical dogs and they won't let you get a good night rest. The accomodations and restaurants have very low standards.

If you like history and nature, the archaeological site of Malinalco is a must visit place. The path to reach the historical monuments it is wonderful, from up there you can see the the city from above and also to admire the nature around it. Near to the site there is also a paying parking space not very expensive and also the owners were really kind to explain to me the history of the place.

An incredibly underappreciated archaeological site in the South of Mexico State. Although it is an incredible site, it is located in a somewhat dangerous part of the state, and you should go with a local. The history in the site is amazing, though - it was where the Aztecs Jaguar warriors were given their title. A rare and incredibly preserved relic of Mexico's ancient past.
