Buffet style local food restaurant The food is sooooo goooooood!!! Gosh I was nostalgic seeing all of my favourite local meals I hadn’t eaten in ages. I think I shed a tear. I was just so happy! But the price, Chale some dey inside. 250ghc!!! I can still feel it in my pocket but I’m glad I got to experience it. Water and drinks come at additional cost. Free wifi. I will say figuring out what to eat can get overwhelming. Be sure to walk around and take your time to look at your options . Don’t let anyone rush you. The staff were fairly nice and helpful. I love the food setup and the traditional wear of the staff Their bathroom is really nice too.

Buffet galore of deliciousness! Awesome, phenomenal, Awesome, flavorful, and full of aromatic greatness.. eaxh bite of food had me feeling like the food critic like Ratatouille!!!!! Food was large portions enough for 2 people. Buffet was nonstop flavour full of happiness of Traditional Ghanaian food. I will definitely be coming back. The only things that were missing was the kebabs and grasscutter bushmeat from what I saw. The price is a bit inflated for tourism.. it is like eating at the Golden Tulip buffet (now Lancaster) or Golden Bean,

No long talks!... taste and feel Ghana - IN STYLE.. located some few minutes from kawukudi (or gold house) and better still, Jack and Jill school, the rich Ghana ambience greets you... and yep, you are welcomed and ushered in in style... traditional style!! Fufu was on point (though Nukabite still tops my list in fufu delights!!).. Their meals are muuah... Their customer service is very good too. Soar highest...

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit because the staff were attentive from the moment I stepped in through the door to the Moment I left. Professional in all their interactions with me and other fellow dinners as they were courteous, offering suggestive ideas to try as much as possible. The food was fresh, deliciously prepared and the buffet was calmly replenished . The clieentel/ fellow dinners were respectful of each other's company. The in-house band kept both the momentum and atmosphere joyous

The Food was great . Service as well was awesome. Very responsive staff. I was served a shot of all the local drinks to try before I made my order. Which I quiet liked. The menu is quiet extensive when it comes to local Ghanaian food . There is so much to try. There was an on going buffet for ghc450 per head .. Overall , I’d definitely recommend. Excellent service .. PS: come loaded 😄

So I visited Azmera for the first time in a long time today. When I got there today I was awed about how many things had changed. The ambience alone was refreshing comparing it to the old Azmera. And what really got my attention was their deliberate attempt to ensure everyone touching the food at the buffet table was doing so in hygienic conditions. Everyone wears disposable rubber gloves after sanitising hands, cutleries are all packed in disposable rubbers and sealed, plates are warm and you get to clean your hands with really hot towel. For food it’s always good as they are known for good dishes when it comes to local foods. I had atseke, grilled tilapia with grounded red pepper, had some apreprense and then some fresh fish light soup. Staff are well mannered and cultured. Basically if you want to eat your local food in an exotic way just go to Azmera Restuarant.

This is an excellent example of how Ghanaian food should be packaged and enjoyed. Fantastic choice of food. Top marks on presentation. Beautiful display of Ghanaian hospitality. I hope to see more of this restaurant all over Ghana. Eat healthy Ghanaian food, not all that junk processed food. Keep up the good work! I definitely recommend this place for the culinary experience! I hope to be back soon.

The food available is tasty 😋. Cool environment. My own bad experience was one waiter who wanted me to eat fast because some people had booked the place and were coming in soon. I told him to go to hell!!

Beautiful place to have the best of local dishes in town, with the village taste. Just that their okro soup isn't the best I've tasted and needs attention.

This was the best take away restaurant till they went wrong with an order. We complained about an order that was wrongly delivered for dinner and the person on the phone agreed to a refund which never came. We kept calling and calling till someone called Moses told us the second day that we must agree to remove a post online about how badly they have treated us before we get our refund for the wrong delivery. I could not believe this coming from a service provider. So, in the end, he claimed the accountant who is suppose to issue the refund is not on seat so we can, in his words "keep calling and calling" till we get him and come for our refund. I have now concluded that they will be good for you only if you are ok with them, but when you are not, they can treat you less of a customer and could care less about you. Fortunately, we were able to speak to the owner of the restaurant days later and she was one of the most professional, ethical and wonderful persons ever spoken to. She apologized, assured us a better service and offered a refund. I hope her staff learn well from her

After recommending this restaurant for takeaway and dine in to my many I decided to treat myself yesterday. I called at 3.50 pm 27/9/2020 and asked specifically if I could get charcoal grilled chicken and the response was positive. I went on to ask the quality for 74 cedis and then I was told it would be a good quality,so I said I would like a leafy salad with out carrots and cream. 30 minutes later the dispatch arrived with every dry 3 pieces chicken and definitely not charcoal grilled, accompanied buy a Ghana salad with cream and beans?!! I called to complain and was informed there was an error, but I felt 114 cedis for this meal was a total rip off. I told the lady I want a refund and she agreed that the rider would return for the refund to be done. 10 mins later she called and said the chef can start grilling chicken for me if I want to add to what I received, so I said no let's stick to my request of a refund. From that time on I was calling hourly to check how long it would be for a dispatch to bring my money and I would have to tell the story over and over imagine how annoying. I was calm and hopeful someone would bring my money. At 9. 39pm was told someone would bring it to me first thing in the morning. It's 11.13 am I have just got off the phone with a gentleman who said he would do the refund for me but I should come for my money. Mind you I called them. If it was an order it would be delivered but for an unhappy customer they don't have the courtesy to send a rider. I must say I am very disappointed with the service of this restaurant that wins so many awards.... Now the question is are their wins genuine?

The layout at this restaurant was lovely and nicely decorated with traditional Ghanaian cloths. And there were wall hangings with the representations and names of various cloth patterns. I was impressed by the variety of authentic Ghanaian dishes and beverages on offer. And the buffet ensures that you get to sample as many of those meals as you can. Needless to say I left absolutely full. For anyone curious about local meals in Ghana, this restaurant must definitely be on your list.

Home away from home when it comes to variety of indigenous Ghanaian foods and delicacies. They offer buffet that you can eat whatever you want. Great environment and services by the attenders to compliment with. The location is North Ridge, a high browl area in the city of Accra. COVID-19 protocols strictly adhered to.

We came here on a Sunday so the buffet was obligatory. The food was not worth the prices, but the atmosphere was very nice! I essentially paid $65.00USD for peanut soup, banku and a drink 😕😕. Some of the items were cold. The bathrooms were clean! I really appreciated the observance of strict covid -19 protocols. The food I did eat was good.

I was very satisfied eating at this Authentic Ghanaian Restaurant. They day we came in they were only serving a buffet for lunch, and I generally don't like buffets because I believe the quality of the food is not very good, even though you can eat as much as you want. Well this buffet was excellent and the food was great. Service was very good, the staff was very attentive, and the owner ensured that customers were happy and things were running smooth. The restaurant was clean, and the bathrooms were clean. An excellent place to eat while in Accra.

Azmera restaurant has a warm, homely ambiance that accentuates Africanism, specifically the Ghanaian culture. The staff were very helpful and friendly right from the entrance (where we were offered local snacks) to our seats. It's an intimate space that serves lots of different Ghanaian meals and desserts. I got there on a Sunday and we were told it was a buffet service of ¢500 per person. We opted for individual meals as that suited our budget. As we explored the extensive menu, we discovered a delightful array of Ghanaian meals. Opting for individual dishes, I savored a refreshing "Sunrise" cocktail in a tall glass, priced at ¢65. The jollof and grilled chicken combo, priced at ¢170, proved to be a taste sensation, compelling me to take a portion home. My partner's choice of fufu with palm soup was a gastronomic adventure, featuring fish, snail, mushrooms, goat meat, and crab, all for ¢210. A small calabash of palm wine, priced at ¢50, added a unique touch to the culinary experience. Not only did the flavors impress, but the live band performance in the background elevated our dining experience. Azmera restaurant stands out as a gem for those seeking not just a meal, but a sensorial journey into Ghanaian cuisine. A definite recommendation for a return visit.

I'm pretty sure the food is great, because i see a lot of good reviews. But the prices are ridiculously high!!!!! For less the price you can have a great meal at COUNTRY KITCHEN in Osu. Also in my opinion the COVID-19 protocols are too extra. To take away we had to wait for 30 minutes.... we just left and went to lunch city. Another good place to get a quick lunch. Sorry but i was not impressed.

  • 3/5 Nellis R. 3 years ago on Google
The food is good, but there is a lack of consistency the quality. I also feel the covid-19 protocols were also a little extra. They will ask you to wear gloves and a mask, meanwhile they will also not allow you to dish out your own food from the buffet, or even handle your own plate... I felt that took away from the experience.

I loved the vibe of this place. The staff are very helpful and courteous. They were dressed it what seems like Nigerian traditional outfits the day we came which was nice. The food was good and they have different varieties of Ghanaian food. I liked that they took COVID protocols seriously.

First time trying traditional Ghanaian food, upon entering I was hit by a foul smell, one of the local dishes........that has a strong aroma, I actually thought it was my face mask that was smelly, ha ha. Its an all you can eat, for 100 Cedis, and the staff were very nice to explain to me, the novice, the local and most popular Ghana dishes.......one by one. Very kind of them and was interesting to see. The Covid rules were overkill though, we had to put on gloves when going around the tables looking at the food on display, but were expected to take them off and use new gloves every time we wanted a new dish. A bit silly me thinks, as other all you can eats don't do this. As for the food, as was still new to Ghanaian food I just ordered the red red (beans stew) twice over..... It was ok and I enjoyed it. But to be honest the other dishes just didn't look appetizing for me..........

Great environment, decent selection of Ghanaian foods and drinks, suitable for groups. You can also enjoy prekese tea, the taste of which I will leave you to judge! Some form of African cuisine fusion would be a great advantage if the management can incorporate it.

I took my mum out for a buffet here, and we loved everything about this place. The food was mouth-watery, their services were great, and the ambiance was lovely. I will recommend this place to anyone any day.

Looking for African, Ghanaian 🇬🇭🥘 cuisine. Best place to be is Azmera. You can choose from a variety of local dishes prepared and seasoned to taste. Food is delicious!
