We are so happy that we stumbled upon this place!! It serves 100% plant based food, with traditional west African dishes and others. The owner, Ben Asamani, is a Ghanaian chef who has been incredibly successful with his restaurant in London, England. This past year he decided that he wanted to share his tasty vegan food with his fellow countrymen here in Accra. Tatale has only been open for about about a month, but already they have an amazing vegan menu and a few very loyal customers. We ordered the Tatale Gardens shared plate for two and absolutely loved it. We were so pleased to find this option which allowed us to try so many different dishes. The service was wonderful, our waiter Joshua talked to us about his own journey towards veganism as s Ghanaian and was able to tell us all about the menu, and the owner’s vision. It was so nice to have the opportunity to try local dishes as a vegan. Such s wonderful experience! I really hope more people discover this place and that their success grows. Important note!! The location here on google maps is wrong! It’s just a little bit further down the same street. Thank you, Tatale!

Awesome experience! The service was great, the guys are nice! The fufu and red red was wonderful, the fried yams was very crispy and the pepper sauce was fantastic. Desserts were good! Over all outstanding. Please support this place, we need to keep great vegan establishments like Tatale thriving.

Enjoyed this cute spot. Seems like all the vegan restaurants are ducked off. The wait staff was friendly. Even the cook came to ask if we enjoyed the food because there was a small bit left. I had to tell her I was completely fullπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I could eat here every day! It's a shame I discovered it later on into my trip but I will definitely be back! As a pescaterian it can get very boring eating fish in Ghana, so this delightful vegan restaurant was a well needed culinary experience! The quinoa avocado salad πŸ˜‹ 😍 The tofu kebabs 😍 The coconut lentil curry πŸ˜»πŸ˜‹ The Tatale special (plantain with cashews) 😍 The desserts πŸ˜‹ (although I wasn't a fan of the ice cream) And the service was excellent. I will definitely recommend this cute little spot and be back as soon as I can to try the rest of the menu

The staff here is amazing. I placed a large takeaway order for for a film set I was working on, and they were so organized and on time. The food is delicious and well flavoured, also the portions are very generous (huge). Whether you are vegan or not, the food is amazing and the costumer service is 10/10.

One of the best vegan restaurants in Accra, if not the best. First of all the atmosphere is inviting, relaxing with soothing music in the background, soft candles on each table. The service is quick and very friendly. Now for the best part - THE FOOD. Absolutely mouth watering delicious and very tasty. There has to be a better word than delicious but I cant think of it. The portions are plenty, you will be full when you finish. They a good assortment of juice, smoothies and teas. If you are true vegan as I am. You must visit this place.

We came here for 4 evenings and the food never disappointed! The food was always delicious and even my non-vegan Mum and staunch Ghanaian meat-eating family members who we brought along loved it 😊 The staff were all super friendly (special shout out to Mawli) and the food looked as good as it tasted- and was very reasonably priced (approx. Β£8-9/pp) The food also arrived in very good time (tip to all those complaining about poor service: you need to call in advance with your order and give them an estimate of the time you will be arriving- we did this every time and never had to wait more than 15 mins for our food! Also if there were things that they don’t have on their menu such as the Club Lager or fresh coconut, they go and find it for you! I will miss this place and next time I’m in Ghana, I will definitely come back repeatedly! Only con i will mention is that the restaurant needs a complete revamp/refresh but that will not stop me from coming back 😊

Best sobolo in town, hands down. I had the chickpea curry with vegetables and it was delicious. For dessert the pineapple crumble, equally delicious. They could work on their decoration/atmosphere, but the food definitely makes up for it. Prices also very affordable.

So I had friends visiting where one is a vegan, and this restaurant came up as a recommendation and did not disappoint. EVERYTHING was super fresh, flavorful, and just really satisfying. I had the fufu with the palm nut soup and it teemed with fresh veggies, and the broth was so.good that I wanted to drink from the bowl. My friends had the.jollof and the equesi and both were beautiful. The bill- super reasonable. This place did not disappoint and I definitely will be back.

Went for a dinner here and the place was small but kept very clean. The kosayi and plantain, yam and cassava bakes were the highlight. I could just order those for my main meal. They have so many veggie options and everything is very well seasoned. We also tried the Abolo and red red which were equally as tasty. It is the perfect african twist on vegan cuisine that I'm happy we discovered in Accra!

This was my 1st time trying vegan Ghanaian food and I cannot believe it took me this long. Every single meal was top notch! The restaurant is in a somewhat quiet residential area and with the bright purple neon signs infront of it, you can't miss it. The staff were very friendly and I even had the opportunity to meet the ever so lovely owner who has been vegan for most of his life and happens to also have another restaurant in London. Covid 19 safety measures were in place and hand sanitizers were also available. For our starters, we went for the 'Kosayi' and Kebab. The Kosayi (Kose) took some getting used to as I'm very familiar with the original taste and texture. I tried it with the sour cream and it was heaven. It complemented it perfectly. The Kebab was quite great too. Grilled veggies with sweet potatoes and tofu. All my favourite things. I wish there were more tofu chunks though. Now my main meal. This is the meal that's made me decide to be vegan for the month of July. I'm so glad I chose the chickpea curry with brown rice because that's going to be my order anytime I'm there. The curry tasted and smelt amazing and the brown rice was way better than I expected. I was extremely pleased with my experience and will definitely be going back.

Coming from the UK, I was overjoyed to find a fully vegan spot in Accra and it did not disappoint! I could finally enjoy local food without thinking, is there fish in this? Or is there meat stock in that? I had the fried yam, and during my 6 weeks stay in Ghana, I have to say they were the best I had. I don’t know what light subtle seasoning they added, but it worked. Next, the fufu with Almond butter soup. I’ve gone most of my life not particularly enjoying fufu, this place turned that around! The flavour was superb. I’ve since been back and the service and food still just as good!

What an excellent place to relish some local West African food and international food, ALL VEGAN!!. I visited this place 3 times during my stay at Accra. The best part is the authentic and natural flavour of the food due to the home-cooking and simple kitchen. Big thanks to the lovely staff: great service, courteous and conversant young folks. My best wishes to this restaurant. Vegetarians and Vegan must definitely go here!

I was expecting a great meal based on others reviews, but my high expectations were exceeded. This is surely one of the finest restaurants in Ghana. Ben, the owner/chef, has run a very popular vegan restaurant in London for 18 years and opened this restaurant last year to give back to his country. The preparation of my meal was fantastic -- on par with any of the great restaurants I have been fortunate enough to experience throughout Europe and North America. My dining was further elevated by the warm, sincere service. I look forward to returning whenever I travel to Accra again!

Tatale is a lovely neat and clean establishment tucked away off of a side road in Osu, Ghana. We ordered the fritters, vegetable stroganoff and the fresh carrot/apple/ginger juice. Our server, Joshua, was very professional and attentive. He delivered our food to our tableβ€” beautifully plated! And the food tasted as delicious as it looked!!! The owner (Ben) came to greet us as wellβ€” lovely gentleman. Great food... Great service!!! Well done, Tatale! See you next time.

After a number of visits, we arrive at a two-star rating. This goes for food and service. It's a hit or miss with this place, sometimes they're good and other times it can be quite touristy. On two occasions the price of my meal was increased when I went to pay my bill. Pizza was ordered on the first visit and it was ok, although it lacked ingredients listed on the menu. Another visit pasta was ordered and a wonderful plate of bow tie came out. When I ordered the same pasta meal a few days later, this small bowl of spaghetti came out. The servers could be more attentive. I might have had a few more drinks if only they had checked in! The last visit I left because the server refused to take my order. I suppose we are good.

Tatale has to be - if not the best vegan restaurant in Accra, it's clearly among the best without a doubt. The service is prompt and "at yourservice", the presentation of the food is sophisticated and creative, and the food I tried was excellent. The staff deserves recognition - Caphurnia, Elizabeth, Charity and Portia. Tatale is a must stop for vegans and non- vegans alike...

OK, MY suggestion is if you are rich enough to take it's 130gh spaghetti only with few pieces squid and few pcs shrimp as called "SEAFOOD SPAGHETTI", this place will be the best choice for you. but never take those items that not worth it. be careful, dont come here with wallet under 500gh.

I was really looking forward to trying Tatale and it absolutely stood up to it's reputation. The food was delicious - beautifully served, creative/ inspiring and wholesome. We had the chickpea salad and the Red Red. I can't wait to go back and try out more dishes. I was surprised that we were the only people there when we went... Tatale is the best place I have eaten in Accra and I wish there were more places offering vegan/ veggie food that is as inspiring and made with love.

  • 5/5 Manuel M. 2 years ago on Google
Simply delicious! A tip for an improvement: we were asked whether we want the bill (β€žwould you like to have the bill?β€œ) pretty much immediately after finishing the main course. That seemed a bit harsh, it was 30 min before closing hours.

What a delightful surprise! The food was delicious, the portions generous, the service attentive and the prices reasonable. After a week of eating rice and red red this was a welcomed change. We also had the pineapple crumble with vegan ice cream, highly recommend. Worth every Cedi!

  • 5/5 LaMarcus G. 2 years ago on Google
My first trip to Tatale was perfect! The customer service was great from the moment I walked in the door. The service was prompt and the food was absolutely delicious! I ordered the red red and it came with great presentation. The flavor was amazing; it was very earthy, savory, and spicy, per my request. I have every intention to eat here regularly. I'm en route to Tatale for my 2nd visit as I write this review.

Tatale is amazing. I love the coconut dhal and pineapple ginger smoothie. Excellent service and the owner, Ben, is a pleasure to talk to. Great food, company, and conversation-- what more can you ask for!

What a fantastic vegan restaurant. Some of the best food I've had in Ghana, and amazing to be able to try classic Ghanaian dishes while following a vegan lifestyle. I wish we had a Tatale location in Winneba too! Recommend this to anyone visiting Accra!

Absolutely serene and Beautiful environment with lots of delicious and healthy food to choose from. Everything is plant-based which makes it extra good. I enjoyed the Fufu with Almond Tatale stir fry with Jollof and Kosayi. Be sure to visit Tatale Vegan Restaurant for a marvelous experience πŸ₯°πŸ™

Tatale Vegan Restaurant was the best dining experience I've had in Ghana. I've been vegan for over two decades, and have even owned and operated my own vegan Cafe, so I am very familiar with vegan cuisine. The chef far surpassed my expectations. I will definitely come again and again to Tatale!

Great experience at this little place. Food was tasty and presented in a stylish way on the plates. Drinks were fresh and delicious. Prices were reasonable. I'll be back with more people. Just jazz up the place a bit...but it was clean.

  • 5/5 James M. 5 months ago on Google
This is really, really good food. I know it is really good because they had a power cut and generator failure while I was there, so I ended up eating in the dark in very humid heat, and even after that I am still intending to go back to eat there again. The portions are big, I warn you - I had a starter, main course, and a side dish, and that would comfortably have fed two. The chef's background in fine dining really shows in the plating, as well. Special shout out to the waitress, who was really kind throughout.
