Took a while for food to come but was pre informed . Lemon and mint drink was refreshing . The beef was bit chewy in the special fried rice but overall a great experience. Space is really spacious , Clean and serene and they played old slow songs and it really set the mood . Also loved that they had sockets on the wall for charging phones

Food was good and so was the ambiance. I particularly enjoyed feeding the fishes in the pond. You part with 2 cedis to feed the fish that they'll end up selling to you ☺. Not sure anyone really mind to be honest cause its loads of fun. They also have " point and kill" . This means you pick out a fish from the aquarium that you want prepared for you.

Located at the cultural Village in Kumasi, this is a great place to vist! Decor follows an African art theme, with lot's of wooden furniture and wall hangings depicting the African daily life. I visited on a stop over for lunch with a bunch of work colleagues and had pan-fried beef with Jollof rice, with the Long Island cocktail. My colleagues had pizza, shawarma, vegetable pizza, fufu and palm oil soup. My beef had more vegetables than beef, but it was cooked just fine. The food was delicious but be warned that the cocktail is a little weak in alcohol content! The service was great, the waitress checked up on us enough and asked about the food but didn’t hover over around. Food also arrived in a short time, probably because we arrived just before rush hour. The music is nice, slow and funy, while there are plenty of seatinf options as the restaurant is really spacious , clean and serene.

It’s a lovely place! One may even say it has a romantic setting. When I visited there were a lot of couples present eating dinner. They have a huge lake which apparently has some fishes I’m sure will be visible in broad daylight. The place is really beautiful at night though. I’ll 8/10 recommend. The meals and cocktails are as well and they have really friendly and patient staff.

OMG! Amazing restaurant. It's got amazing scenery and very warm place to be. The design of the pub it genius. Everything is an art in here. The food and drinks were good(not cheap). There's a pond right at the centre of the place where it grows fresh catfish for the customers. They serve local and intercontinental dishes The music is not so loud which is a good thing. But the DJ?🙄. Definitely needs some training and upgrade! Assorted drinks and oh how I love the wood design of the place. I'd recommend this place over and over.

There is something for the entire family. The environment is nice and relaxed. The service was great and fast. Picking your own catfish to be cooked is also an experience and the final result is great fish with awesome flavours. The Tilapia & yam chips arrived promptly and was delicious. Well, first we were greeted by a smiling lady in cultural hear at the gate. That's great. The waitress was a bit irritable. She got our orders mixed up-twice. I think she was really tired. The management believed that it was suitable to fix a fan next us overhead while we were eating. I don't know also if the vibe is to get an African feel because of the use of single use plastics could be better.🤷 Also the 'lake' was really green. I don't know if fish can still be in there. All in all, it is worth visiting because we don't have much places like this here.

Wonderful and serene atmosphere with a native Ghanaian look. A minute drive from the Kejetia Market and Adum. The pond view is amazing with fishes to feed. The meals are great and affordable. There's a place for parking as well. A great place for a weekend hang out or your relaxation.

Currently been here for almost an hour. Called several waiters keep saying they will be with us but no service rendered. We called one named Regina who said she will be with us. Ignored us had to walk up to her and tell her my piece of mind because she acted like she didn’t see us. If management can deal with trainer workers on customer service. This is our first time here and the place was highly recommended by friends. I doubt I will be back or patronize their service. Ended up ordering just drinks . Which may end up taking another hour. If you need fast service I wouldn’t recommend this place unless u know management who can fastrack the service for you. Waisted my time. The environment is nice though but service needs improvement.

Visited this place as I heard good reviews about it, however from the moment we entered it was bad vibes. The staff weren’t welcoming at all and the food was beyond terrible. The chicken was salty and over seasoned with hot pepper which led to my belly hurting the whole of the next day. The fufu and soup was also over salty and when informed waiter they said we would have to pay extra. Please do better to cater to non Ghanaians who come far from abroad to support your local restaurants. Will definitely not be eating here again sorry to say!!!

I visited solo and had the fufu with goat light soup. I wanted the Ampesi but was warned it would be a long wait so I chose the soup. I was thirsty so I had the mango juice, a calabash of palm wine and malt. The palm wine was delicious but be warned that it is potent! Service was great, the waitress checked up on me enough and asked about the food but didn’t hover over me. The food was delicious and hot. My only gripe was that the music is far too loud for a dining experience- you can hear it in the hotel across the way. It is also annoying when you are trying to have a conversation and have to shout endlessly.

My experience there was really nice. Been there twice, one was for a friends birthday and we had fun. But once I ordered a large pizza from them. It wasnt delivered till 3 hours later and I found a little copper rod in my pizza.

I really love the place

Serene welcoming ambience. Good food but grilled pork came cold but the yam was hot and pepper on point. My sis ordered for yam chips with grilled chicken and was flawless. There was light off and it took 10 minutes for it to be back and to our surprise there wasnno apology for the delay. The DJ is good though with music selection.

A place with a great sense of traditional themes running across almost everything on site. Food is okay. It's a place to experience at least once if you are in Kumasi.

Has a natural look about it. The place has different sections and i love the pond in the centre. On weekend nights service can be bad however. One staff in kente says "call a waiter in black", waiter in black says "call another", another says "I'm coming and doesn't show up". Still one of the best places in Kumasi to hang out nonetheless.

Had to wait forever for the order placed to come. At the point of leaving, an earlier order was parked for us, which was not to be. It the order of the guest I took there who wanted to eat out.

Nice setup. However, I’d like to make a helpful suggestion to their service: Coupons or tickets should be given for food orders made at the restaurant (take-away). We just checked on our order placed 20 minutes ago, and the POS lady at the counter had a difficult time tracing our order. It took the intervention of her colleague who recognized us and remembered we’d paid to get a track on our order. A simple ticket system would help resolve issues like this. Also, customer service training for their staff would really make patrons feel more comfortable. We basically had to cajole and cadge for attention to get served. Otherwise, it’s a great setup. The place is lively with traditional African setting carefully blended with European and American standards. The food is good and their drinks are extra-tasty than what is sold elsewhere. In the day time typically from morning to 4pm, the place is less busy and you can enjoy quiet time with your family there. After 4pm, the place become extra-lively with people trooping in and out to have a good time. It is a a place I will recommend for anyone wanting to have a change of environment to dine and wine with friends and family.

This is perhaps the worse place to dine in Kumasi. They won’t allow you to bring in your own water. Yet, I’ve been sitting here for over two hours and the waiter is telling me he can’t find me water. This is a joke💩

I ordered 3 different cocktails, which were sold out and a pizza which was sold out. I understand things may not be available, but it's incompetent for service staff to not be aware in advance. Furthermore, stock control must be improved. There's a shortage of food menus. So unfortunately the menus were taken away from my table whilst in the toilet. Unacceptable. Tables were cleared without any interaction from staff. No questions whether everything was okay. Perhaps I'm expecting too much, but in my world, this is standard service procedure. I had half a cocktail left, which my server tried to clear from my table without asking! The food was okay.. The venue is beautiful and unique, I suspect the main reason for the success. It certainly is not the service or food. This place has so much potential, if only they invested in training their staff. Management must communicate with bar and kitchen to understand what is in stock and communicate with service. I'm really cherry picking now, but management decided to play Elton John and Eric Clapton throughout my entire dinner service, was a little strange - But that's subjective. I would still reccomend this place due to its unique identity, however, management must invest in training staff. As I said, so much potential.

Update 9/28/2021 I recently was in Kumasi and went to Ike's Cafe and Grill. I went with two others and while their meal provided no issue, I had a major issue. I had food poisoning from catfish that was prepared. That was about 3 weeks ago and I'm still recuperating from that experience. I will never order catfish again at Ike's. Other food has never been an issue. Older This is an amazing treasure in Kumasi. The location is close to cultural center where you can local crafts. The scenery is awesome. My table was overlooking lake. The menu was extensive. I ordered catfish. I selected my catfish from tank. It was the cut up, cleaned

Have been to Ike’s cafe and grill with a large group and on several other occasions with my husband. It is a wonderful experience. Great food, good vibes, beautiful ambiance, however, some staff lack customer service. (Staff also makes you feel like you are bothering them when ready to place your order). If you anticipate going there for that you will be disappointed moreover, if you go for the vibes the hype and good food you can’t go wrong!

We were looking forward to checking this place out based on the reviews, however, we were quickly left disappointed. We had to make our own seating accommodations because no one seated us. Our waiter could not answer basic questions about the food we wanted to order. She kept saying "I don't know, we have to ask the chef." Most of the food we ordered were decent, not the greatest, but good enough. However, the PIZZAS we ordered were terrible. It was not pizza at all, more like bread and cheese....there was NO PIZZA SAUCE on the Pizza and it tasted very blend. The oreo milkshake we ordered was not good either. It was just liquid milk. The only good thing about rhe whole experience was that the management. Mr. AT was very professional and nice. He had our to-go pizza remade properly. But still we will definitely not go back to Ike's Bar and Grill.

I only rate this low because the food prep is toooooo slow and food is not very good. Ordered Lamb Chops as it was a featured for the night but food came when my dinner partner finished their food even though we ordered at the same time. To be honest food isn't good. I'm sorry but the people count on me to be truthful. Much Love and Respect. Pack a lunch. There are ways to improve. I love the staff and atmosphere that was great.
