One of the best services I ever received. Went there for a chill afternoon and got a chill afternoon. I sat by the deck overlooking the sea. The breeze was cool. Had two cocktails, the Pina colada and frozen margarita. The came in under 10 mins. Pina Colada was perfect but the frozen margarita had too much salt which dripped down into the drink. Was given complimentary plantation chips and groundnut which I found really cool. Overall experience was a good one 😊

Nice place which could do more, but the staff is lethargic and not very attentive. The food was a joke > I ordered a steak but it was like rubber. I can’t recommend this place for lunch and dinner, except they’ve a buffet where you can choose the food by yourself. The coke came in a bootle and was very dirty - the taste was ugly because it was stored too long or/and in sun. Even the access to the beach is limited until 6pm. There’s one security who has the key to the beach but before you need to find him. Crazy.

Excellent service and perfect locations, close to the sea, beautiful views, nice Ghanaian decorations, tasty foods and very chilled beers, quiet place, life band music and a lot more offers. It's one of my favourite places in Accra..definitely a very recommend place

Lovely lunch experience. Nice variety and kind staff. The live band was the best coupled with the live, amazing, and magical painting by baahtheartist.

I've been here quite a few times, it's lovely, especially at night, the sea breeze is just fantastic.

The Ghanaian Village restaurant usually has a very nice party ambiance. I always enjoy myself. The quality of food is always excellent. Although the variety is a little limited they keep everything topped up so you can go for a second or third serving if you want. The wait-staff is always professional and courteous. Highly recommended.

The Ghanaian Village Restaurant is located within La Palm Royal Beach Hotel. The service in this place is amazing. This is the hotel that former US President Barack Obama stayed at when he visited Ghana. So just know it's top level, classy, clean, the staff is AMAZING. The restaurant food may look a bit high, but look at the environment, pool, beach access and the quantity of food they serve you for that good money and you will accept that this place is worth it. Totally.

Let’s skip to the good part—— the soup. I had the pleasure of enjoying the Sunday buffet and I didn’t regret it, starting with a bowl of #fufu with. #fishsoup . It was just like home cooked meal. The ambience was welcoming and it was like a family get together. Not forgetting the live band too. Trust me, if your not disciplined, you’d stay and have evening buffet. I’ll recommend everyone to visit the #Ghanavillagerestaurant and have the best experience of a life time.

Nice food here in the Ghanaian Village. With a little limit in the spice in the food (the Maggie 🤦) will have all the food too notch.

Wonderful ocean breeze on a warm day in a beautiful setting. The kontomire was spicy and served with fresh fish and yam. Delicious!

The food selection was surprisingly slim; and they didn't have plantains which invalidated many of the few dishes. The music sounded like a prerecorded amateur band; we asked for something different and they turned off all the music! We waited a really long time and when the food came, the jollof rice was cold. The food was edible but not particularly good. With all that, the environment was nice, by the water was special. Too bad the restaurant won't get repeat customers.

Unique place with a lot of local touch and style. The kitchen couldn't cope today with that level. Although fine taste the food came not warm and the meals were not served together but with a long time distance. Was already better before. Service is very friendly.

The food quality has grossly deteriorated. The food was stale and caused us all gastroenteritis. Avoid this restaurant. One extra star is only for the waiter who was courteous and nice

  • 4/5 Theo S. 2 years ago on Google
Good but on this occasion the band or the music was average. Understandably so because I believe they were in mourning of one of their colleagues. But all in all it still enjoyable as always.

The views are beautiful as the restaurant is right on the waterfront. The food was delicious. We had the seafood platter with kelewele and it was plentiful and delicious. The service was extremely slow but the wait was unreal. The food definitely was worth it!

Impeccable view of the beach and sea @ La Palm Royal beach hotel. The servers aim to please as they are incredibly helpful, dutiful and responsible. The beach is one of the cleanest I have seen in Accra. If you are into the Ghanaian cuisine and live music, then pay them a visit. They usually have buffets that allows you to taste most of the popular Ghanaian cuisines. Drinks are usually not a part of the buffet menu so ask before you incur undisputed costs. This place adds and continue to make the city of Accra liveable and bearable. Thanks guys!!

Arrived to have lunch while enjoying the lovely sea views, at The Ghanaian Village Restaurant. Views and ambience great. Thought to have a drink first, before ordering food. Oh my - frustrating and disappointing. Every drink requested off the menu was unavailable, except for beer. Decided not to even chance trying to order food .... Waitron and bar staff need some serious training. There were exactly 3 patrons in the place, yet essentially we were all ignored by the waitron staff. A definite disappointment.

The Ghanaian Village Restaurant has a very nice scenery for relaxation and is bordered by the sea. Give it a try if you can. NB: the waiters can be unprofessional, so don't be surprised if you one of such person's. Enjoy your time there, if you get the chance to visit.
