What a big busy market place! It a place were one can buy fresh farm produce at cheaper prices. I bought some fresh yams, plantains, assorted fruits for my household. Some parts of the market are clean. The market is busy and noisy in major market days.

The market is well structured with the stores well stocked with the things you need to buy. However, the language barrier could make you pay more for same item a native will pay less for

Large market with virtually everything you want ranging from mobile phones, clothing, mattresses, building materials, all kinds of food items with relatively cheaper pricing than most markets in the country. They do have a police post with most of the time one police officer at post.

Techiman Town in Bono East Region, Ghana Techiman is a town and is the capital of Techiman Municipal and Bono East Region of Ghana. Techiman is a leading market town in South Ghana. Techiman is one of the two major cities and settlements of Bono East region. Techiman has a settlement population of 104,212 people in 2013. Techiman is located at a historical crossroads of trade routes and the Tano River, and serves as capital of the Techiman Municipal District. Quick Facts: Country, Region ... History According to oral tradition, all the Akans including the Ashantis come from Bono. The Fantes (an Akan people), according to their oral tradition, migrated from Techiman to found the coastal Mankessim Kingdom and present Central region in 1252. Others from the Akan people would later follow and formed their own states and city states, such as the now extinct Adanse state, the Akyem and Akwamu states, among others.  After Bono Manso, capital of the Bono state, was taken by the Ashanti Empire in 1723, then the Bono-Techiman state was founded in 1740 under Ashanti sovereignty.. However, all the Akans including the Ashantis according to oral tradition settled and migrated from Bono and were part of the Bono State until when the Bono State was conquered in war by the Ashantis.

You can get food stuffs at an affordable price. The market is not tiled so when it rains, the whole place become muddy. The market is the biggest market in Ghana and has gain it's popularity from the vast food supply and the varieties of food stuffs that comes into the market. Walking from the round about is bout 15 minutes walk to the market. Every food stuff has its own area where you can get them.
