I’m excited to go back and try these again because they were just good. From the ambience to the great foods served. Sometimes one meal isn’t enough if it’s good so I did a classic smash because why not? Only that, once I picked up my phone; I was told that no pictures were allowed. Regardless, I had a really warm reception from Matilda.

The first thing is the surroundings, which are spotless and warm. Additionally, the staff was nice and personable. Oh my goodness, the food was delicious! My buddies and I went there together, and everyone had a good time. Aside from the excellent food, the rates are also excellent. Additionally, the turnaround time is fantastic.

As one of the long standing fast foods in Ghana, Papaye has stood the test of time. I knew of this place some years back when I was in primary and enjoyed eating the famous fried rice with chicken. Years have gone by with changes in the dish names but the taste keeps getting better with new surprises as well. I enjoyed it then and still enjoy it now, when I make a purchase at either of the branches across Accra. The staff are very kind, patient and ready to assist; always with a smile. Centrally located. Good food with local twists. And oh large portions - my best thing about them. There’s a take-out section downstairs and a dine-in section upstairs. They also have a small parking space to accommodate a few cars on the ever busy Oxford road. I love that it was just a walking distance from where I was lodged, so I could easily meet friends there. Nice place overall.

Papaye had been a households name for many years. Think of it and you think of Food of a different class. I happened to be at Papaye Fast Foods OSU one night in the company of a friend. My friend made the choice of we going there. On arrival, I saw people standing outside while others made entry. The fore front was brightly lit with the name Papaye in neon display. The inside looked articulate with enough room for movement. I was surprised to see many attendants. I readily saw broiled or grilled fish, meat, and fowl in a classed set up meant for a display of what Papaye was capable of. We had our seat and immediately an attendant was on hand wishing to know how she could be of help. We made our choice after she had read the Menu. In fact there were a little of many things on display. They were deserts in an inviting appearance. These were tarts, chips, little dough nuts of different shapes and some varieties of minerals to name but a few. Prices were moderate making me think that account for the large patronage putting aside Taste. There was in place Special Orders, take always and bookings for that of Parties and other events that food might be needed. There is a Second floor that might have staff being attentive, skilled and charismatic unfortunately I did not go there. Papaye had been able to open other branches which means the food is Great, the ambience special and the staff outstanding.

I’ve enjoyed papaye since I was a child and I’d say the taste isn’t the same anymore. Nevertheless, it’s still good especially at this branch (Osu) the services of waiters need some improvement. Their grilled fish and roasted chicken is my fave. Order your roasted chicken as soon as you arrive because it can take a while to be ready.

Papaye never grows old. Food is good quality at an affordable price. Service is relatively fast during non-peak hours. They're a good go-to place when you don't know what to eat.

If I'm not wrong Papaya have been filling the bellies of most Ghanaians close to a decade now or even more. With their quality customer service, they have been able to make a house hold name for themselves... they don't disappoint.

Been eating at Papaye since I was 15 years old. Their rice and chicken is popular in Ghana and comes out faster than other foods ordered. I also love the club sandwich.In general though, all their food tastes great. They have expanded to have other locations in Spintex and Teasno but Osu is the original and best spot (the food all tastes the same though!) Definitely visit if you're in Ghana.

I appreciated that they are operating a curbside for customers who don't want to come in. Unfortunately they do not take electronic payments, not with cards and not with express pay which is quite unusual for the times. Their rice and grilled chicken is still true to the papaye taste. Their grilled fish fillet was a good compliment to the rice ad well.

I bought rice yesterday from this place and it’s not the same anymore. It’s just like plain rice and their pepper is always burnt. Please Papaye is a nice place to have a good meal don’t ruin that.

PFF has maintained its reputation over these many years. The taste is still amazing. The turnaround times are even better post covid. All Covid protocols are promoted too. I was particularly struck by the visitors bench that gave an extra layer of distance between customers and the cashiers. Looking forward to my next visit.

Ate there.... took a while before I got the attention of a waiter but the serving time was on point... Generally the food was good,had fried rice and fried chicken. The meal was hot upon serving. The chicken was very crisp and the rice was a little dry with just enough salt. The black pepper was slightly burnt but love thier orange juice. They provide you with hand wipes and they clean the counter after the customer leaves.. generally the environment is clean.

Went there for nostalgic reasons. I was in the neighbourhood and went to the oldest fast food joint in town for a cheeseburger and grilled chicken with French fries (takeout). For the price and even compared to a few more expensive ones it's a great taste. Was told it'd take 15 minutes, it took almost 25 minutes but that's still reasonable considering the numbers. Moist and saucy grilled chicken, just regular fries. i only took a little bite of the burger but if my daughter's face was anything to go by, it's a hit.

Absolutely the BEST Roasted chicken I have eaten since being in Accra Ghana! The seasoning is very well done and consistently done. I had an opportunity to talk with a decision maker here about franchising and he explain to me that the family business chose not to because they did not want the quality of there brand to be lowered. He stressed to me how difficult it would be for a new owner to be profitable and maintain high quality just starting out. Two thumbs up!! I told him his business and recipe would do extremely well in the USA and Europe

It's a popular fast food place for the locals. We went there on a Sunday and it was packed. We didn't have to wait for our food and the portions were generous and the chicken was very tasty. Good facilities for both eat in and take away.

Page Fast food came handy. Their meals takes great, they have variety of options you can choose from but then most options are fast foods as the name says. The wait time to get ones meal is always around 7-20 minutes depending on what you order. Good value for money. I do not think dinning in is allowed

The first thing I’ll say is that the staff at the register were very kind. This was my first time visiting a Papaye. I was very surprised by the amount of people in the lobby. They were very busy, but as I said, the cashier was very friendly to us. We were told our wait for our food was an hour and it took more then an hour. I even left to grocery shop and it still was not done. The grilled chicken was the best part of the meal. All in all I would give it another try.

If you've had papaye from the past, you can easily identify the difference in taste and presentation. The food has really gone south and the authenticity we knew is gone. Very disappointing business approach Papaye has employed. Recipes should never change!!!

I've known Papaye, 20+ yrs. nothing really change, entering this establishment made me feel extremely old. Nothing fancy nor major improvement done there. The atmosphere was meh( just people waiting n or making food orders). I must have outgrown my childhood taste buds because the food( rice with grilled chicken, though I usually ordered "broasted" chicken, now trying to be healthy) didn't slap the way I imagined. You have to be extremely hungry to enjoy a meal. Didn't dine in, so customer service wasn't expected.

I had what I believe to have been fire roasted or charcoal grilled chicken? It surprised me because the chicken in Ghana at places like this is usually fried. However it was cooked, it was awesome. Even though the food was cold because we got it to go and waited until later to eat it, it was still great. The fried rice was you're pretty standard Ghanaian fried rice, still delicious even though it was cold after waiting as well, and I'm sure it would have been even more great while it was hot and fresh. Definitely suggest trying this place out if you're looking for some delicious local style chicken and fried rice. I unfortunately didn't take any pictures because I wasn't thinking about reviewing the place at the time, but I promise it looked delicious and was well packaged. Enjoy! 🤤😋

Papaye recently turned 31. Last year (March 7th 2022) myself and my team were contracted to organize the milestone celebration of 30 years in Ghana and the opening of Papaye Gardens (a wonderland village and park spanning over 100 acres of lands consisting a zoo, train track, fountain, restaurants, gardens, etc) Papaye is a fast food restaurant that has stood the rest of time. Fried rice and chicken that looks healthy yet so delicious. They hardly advertise. They won’t do deliveries. They don’t copy brands. They’re just PAPAYE 🤷🏾‍♂️ 👍🏾 You can’t go wrong!

Visited thrice in a week and they’re quite generous with their food quantity, the chicken is always crunchy and tasty. You’d probably knock yourself out trying to finish their rice serving. The ambience was quite basic though, no excitement with the set up.

If you want some good quantity of food with little money you should check Papaye out. Their fried rice and chicken was great! Oh! And their sandwich and chips too😉

The staff today were terrible. No one wanted to take my order because I was alone until I went to the counter. I requested for water and juice in the middle of my meal and it took minutes even tho the place was less busy. I went to the counter again to see the juice and water there with staff pressing their phones and seemed not to care. I took the water and came back to continue my meal which wasn’t the best.
