This in my opinion is the best park in Ghana. Nice and well educated tour guides. The thrill of being one with nature is golden. I'm certainly going back some day for the night Safari.

This is an incredible place. Plenty of wildlife all around. Beautiful comfortable accommodation. Lovely infinity pool area. Guides are very knowledgeable and go to a lot of trouble to point out all the amazing creatures. Can highly recommend this Park.

This is an absolutely amazing place, Mole National Park is beautifully situated in the north of the county and it captures everything you'd expect of Ghana and West Africa. The staff cater for all, there are safari walks, drives and night one to choose from. I'd do all 3 however my favourite was the walk, it's well worth getting up for. Top tips 1. Always lock your door or you might find a baboon in your room. 2. Book / order your food well in advance (its tasty) 3. Club lager is the best beer and very cheap too! The sun set is spectacular with a beer in hand! You won't be disappointed.

Welcome Welcome to Mole National Park (pronounced ‘Moh-lay’), the nature lover’s treasure trove! Located within the Savannaland Tourism Destination Area, Mole is Ghana’s first, largest and most prestigious protected area. The Park is managed mainly for its outstanding natural, physical, historical and cultural values. It covers an area of 4,577 km2 of fairly undisturbed Guinea savannah in the northern part of Ghana. Mole is rich in biodiversity and home to some 742 vascular plant species, over 90 mammal species including 5 primatespecies, of which species of conservation and tourist interest include Elephant, Buffalo, Kob, Western Hartebeest, Roan Antelope, Defassa Waterbuck, Oribi, Bohor Reedbuck and Red-flanked Duiker. Rare and endangered species include the Yellow-backed Duiker, Black and White Colobus Monkey, Leopard and Lion. The Park is also home to 334 bird species, 33 reptiles, 9 amphibian species, and some 120 butterfly species. The Park has the most viable elephant population in Ghana, and as such, is a hotspot for elephant conservation. It is also said that the Park has a unique breed of elephant, which are not hostile, not aggressive or insecure, compared to other elephant populations in the rest of Africa. Mole is one of seven National Parks in Ghana. The other wildlife estates include six Resource Reserves, two wildlife sanctuaries, one Strict Nature Reserve and five Ramsar sites, managed by the Wildlife Division of the Forestry Commission of Ghana. The Park’s mission is to sustainably manage the wildlife resources of Mole National Park, increase revenue, and generate economic activities around the Park with a view to contribute towards local socio-economic development. Effective law enforcement and protection of the Park is ensured through the establishment of the range system, and collaboration with fringe communities. Today, Mole National Park is inscribed on UNESCO’s Tentative List of World Heritage Properties in 2000 and is working and striving to achieve World Heritage Site status soon. The Park is accessible by road. It also has an airstrip, which is out of use. Mole shares its borders with 33 fringe communities in two of Ghana’s regions: the Northern Region and the Upper West Region. In addition to savouring the precious flora and fauna through game viewing, bird watching, informative walks and camping, visitors to the Park can also visit some of the neighbouring communities, and experience their rich cultural heritage, architecture and traditional livelihood activities, among others. Nearby tourist attractions include Bui National Park, Gbele Resource Reserve, Wechiau Community Hippo Sanctuary, Paga Crocodile Pond, Paga Pio’s Palace, Wa Naa’s Palace, Pikworo Slave Camp, Sirigu (for its architecture and exterior décor), Ancient Mosques (particularly Larabanga, Bole and Nakose), the Kraal buildings, Nalerigu Defense Wall, Gwollu Defence Wall, Navrongo Cathedral, and the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows, also at Navrongo. There is also the Tamale Centre for National Culture, Larabanga Mystery Stone, Wuling Mushroom Rock, and Daboya Smock Village.

You can't go up north and not visit Mole national park. The land size is huge, breathtaking with so much wildlife. The entry fee is reasonable but strongly suggests you go with cars such as a pickup, tundra, 4x4 etc so you don't have to rent a jeep for the safari.

Please, how to safari self here? Use their car, charge 200 per 2 hours, but 2 hours only view small distance and just see 3 elephants and some monkeys and kobs, so i think 200ghc just vew 1% park, but don't know how to use own car to enter, otherwise don't come, will waster your money and time

(Translated by Google) It is quite good, it is not very big but it is worth it, the hotel is good, it does not come out too badly priced. The restaurant has four things and they are not very tasty. The safari by car is a joke, if you stay at the hotel they tell you to leave at 7 in the morning and the best time to see the elephants is around 9, you choose the time to go, the next day we returned to take another three-hour safari because according to them there was a different route and they had us walking around and we did not see a single bug, nor landscape nor anything (Original) Esta bastante bien, no es muy grande pero merece la pena , el hotel esta bien, no sale muy mal de precio .

It is the park in Ghana with the largest area. Historical Founded in 1958, Mole Park aimed to protect the flora and fauna of this region. Populations living in the park were relocated in 1971, reducing the human threat to mammals. The presence of poachers remains confirmed in the surroundings of the park. Il est le parc du Ghana ayant la plus grande superficie. Historique Fondé en 1958, le parc Mole visait à protéger la faune et la flore de cette région. Ghana’s biggest wild life sanctuary. Located at mole. Mole is a name of the River that flow through the parc. Wild animals are their main attraction. They have special cars and trucks to visit inside the forest. After we pay the drivers carry us to the forest inside. Elephant, deers are their attraction. They have the hotel facility to stay. They will make arrangements if we need to visit the near village, the village they keep as the tradition life style. But it seems they are not following the traditional life there but for the tourist purpose they are acting like the traditional life.

It lies along the Kumasi-Techiman highway and it's in-between the AME Zion Hospital and the Akomadan Health Centre... It has a paved floor and a washing bay for your cars, motorcycles and trucks. ...although, the service station has a shop, they don't sell food items - they only sell engine oil and other car accessories! If you stop there to fill your tank and you want to eat, the Akomadan and Afrancho towns are VERY CLOSE so, you can get your food in any of those towns! The Akomadan Zongo is directly opposite the station so, my Muslim brothers and sisters can pray and even join Friday's Jumah when you stop there to fill your tank!

A massive park conserved for nature enthusiasts. Tour guides are very friendly and knowledgeable as well. The mole motel is a modest accommodation with free breakfast included. For swimming fanatics, I recommend a morning swim....thank me later. Drinks at the motel's bar are affordable as well.
