This is by far the best hostel we came across our journey through Ghana. The beautiful garden is the perfect place to relax from the hectic of the city, the rooms are cozy and clean and the stuff is so friendly and helpful! They serve a delicious breakfast with eggmuffin, bananapancake and selfmade bread that is included in the price, which, in addition, is very reasonable. In the evening you can join the hostel dinner with the daily local dish. Since the hostel is part of a the tumi women empowerment project, it us run mostly by women and you can buy beautiful selfmade crafts and cloths in the hostel. Definitely the best place to stay in Kumasi!

Very nice hostel. The hostel just opened when I stayed here. The staff was very friendly and made me feel at home straight away. The rooms are big and clean with the best matrass in Ghana. The breakfast was awesome, freshly baked bread, smoothies and everything. The hostel is an absolute recommendation.

Amazing little hostel, quite centrally located in Kumasi. All earnings go to their women empowerment project... Everything is very tastefully decorated and they sell a lot of handsewn items. The whole place is also very clean and well maintained! Food is served on site, with many vegetarian options available. Our room was very clean and spacious. The children had a great time and felt quite at home from the first day. There's also wifi

Fantastic place to stay. The women who work there were just so friendly and helpful. The communal breakfast was a nice opportunity to meet people. The place just felt so friendly. You can walk to kumasi mall from there and they had a lovely shop in the hostel itself selling goods made by the women involved in the Women's Empowerment project. You can meet some of the caftswomen and visit the sewing workshop if you wish

I simply loved this place. Loved the idea behind and how they work it out. 1. Rooms: Stayed in a room and the dorm and both had comfortable beds and were spacious. Bathrooms were big and also provided local soap, which smells great (can buy some) All the rooms have some colourful delicately paintings, are airy and clean! 2. Food: they serve SALAD with dinner!!! wow, I loved it. And the breakfast is heaven on earth. You eat on the terrace at a very long wooden table, so it is easy to chat along with all the others (many volunteers) 3. Tailoring: They offer dresses, shirts, skirts, pants, shorts, baby stuff, bags, table cloths etc which are made in the tailoring where you see all the tailors. They also offer tailormade service, which I accepted at a great price and astonished watched my dresses to be made. In the courtyard you can also watch a man weaving kente.

Superb guest house and enterprise with excellent gift store selling beautiful goods handmade in the premises by the seamstress academy on site. Staying in the dormitory which is like my old boarding school😄 staff are lovely, very accommodating and helpful. Food is on point🫶🏾

Spend a night in this hostel and everything was perfect. Mixed dorm for 149 cedis per night (with breakfast included), very nice and quiet room with fan and a big bathroom and shower you share with the other people in the dorm. The staff is great, always helpful and attentive. The decoration and atmosphere of the place are really nice. Everyone is laidback and chill, really nice people. Every evening they organize a communal dinner for 60 cedis, I thought it was a bit expensive but it was really a lot of good food, plus you share it with other people at the table which is nice. The only thing I could say was not top was the breakfast, which was not super healthy. I would include some fruit options or yogurt.

The dorm is very nice, spacious and cool, the bathroom even seems excessively large but that is not bothersome at all. Staff are friendly though they could provide slightly more information about how things like the breakfast works. Good price, really beautiful atmosphere, good location though the nearest trotro roads are a bit of a walk if you don't want to take a taxi, uber or tuktuk/pragya. They have wondwerful initiatives of women empowerment and plastic separation, sell locally produced items and are very lenient about arrival times and stay extentions.

The place was serene. It's sort of traveller's lodge and they have this women empowerment program that trains women in African arts and crafts. I didn't know there was such a place around that side of Asokwa. It's absolutely amazing!

Beautiful, relaxing atmosphere with wonderful, healthy meals and great staff. The owner is very sweet, and the profits from the business transactions go towards training young women towards gainful employment, especially in sewing. Would definitely recommend.

Clean and comfortable private room with fan and nice bathroom. Delicious breakfast (most variety of options I’ve seen in Ghana!). Sweet, friendly and patient staff all over. Free cold filtered water anytime was very convenient! The girls next door were also very sweet and were even willing to custom tailor my pants within less than 24 hours! I’d stay here again anytime I returned to Kumasi.

Best hostel i've ever been! Everyone is really friendly, the food is absolutly delicious and the furnishing is totally lovely and made with love. As well it's supporting a women empowerment project who sells their products at the hostel. It was very clean and we felt home immediately.

Superb, this hotel is located in Nsuta in the Ashanti Region. There rooms are super big. The rooms also comes with water heater(very neccesaay because of the constant low temperature due to rains). The proprietor is also available for complaints. The local cuisine is the main attraction for me.

More Rules than Service To welcome guests, there is a huge column displaying the house rules, and these are also placed prominently in the room. The rooms are rather functional than offering great comfort, and it's noteworthy that the hotel, despite a rather high price for it's location, does NOT offer free Wi-Fi to it's guests. Hot water is only available for the shower/bath when the interrupter on the corridor is switched on, unfortunately at our check in this was forgotten. Only 1 towel is provided per room, no matter if it's for single or double occupation. Other amenities are limited to 1 piece of soap and toilet paper. The air-conditioned room is equipped with a fridge with separate freezer compartment. The bed is king size, but only provides 2 cushions (rather hard ones). The cover is very thin and rather not adapted to the air condition. In summary, not an experience to repeat.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tumi Hostel! All staff is superfriendly, and helpfull. And the green garden is welcoming retreat from the bustling streets. We were in Kumasi to run a weeklong design sprint with students from the KNUST. And therefore, joined the breakfast and diner every day, we loved the food and company. On our last day we joined the yoga class and tailer workshop.

I will warn booking at Tumi Hostel as not trustworthy. I made a reservation by phone and confirmed my reservation on Whatsapp. Before I arrifed I noticed by a friend that my reservation was canceled. I phone call to one of the employees was not productive in finding a solution. The person I called at the Tumi Hostel just hung up. This is not the way to tread guests. I have to give a star to publish this post. But the booking service has not earned any stars.
