The waterfalls are beautiful but we were charged 40Aud to see them with a guide, which we didn’t ask in the first place. I understand they need help with their community, but I believe the amount is a total rip off. I don’t think anywhere else in the world somebody charge you this amount to see a natural wonder. After a 3 hour drive we just took the bullet, but this put me off to see other waterfalls in the area.

Really pretty waterfalls. As far as I understood you have to have a tour guide here, and the price of entrance is a bit higher than normal, 100.000 per person, but it's worth it. The guide was really nice and helped take pictures of us. You can also stand in the water and even get inside the waterfall. So bring swim clothes if you go here. You can get some really nice pictures. One of the waterfalls might be closed off, if it is raining because of it being slippery. But the twin waterfalls should be open.

Finally visited this ulterior gem. Unfortunately many shops were closed and seemed to be abandoned for long times due to pandemic. We only happened to find two souvenir shops during the trip. The track was clean and well maintained, its magnificent view with colossal waterfall and fresh air really made us comfortable during the visit. Ticket entrance was 20k for adult, 10k for children, however since we arrived quite late the entrance booth was closed so we ended up entering for free. Haha. The unique premise with hard rock behind the water intensified the beauty of this place. So tranquil with the forest-like ambiance and great setting. One of the most enjoyable natural spots in Bali!

One of the most beautiful waterfalls I've been to. This place was the definition of heaven on earth. Should have read up first as we paid the 150k per person that they try to get you to pay, instead of the 20k; I thought it was expensive 😅. But the guide walked us down and showed us about all the plants along the way (coffee, cloves etc), the history of the place, where to drink from the springs and didn't charge us to take photos. The water was crystal blue and we were the only people there so got to swim around for ages. There's a cool rope swing that you use to swing into the water, under the falls.

Watch out! It’s just a big tourist scam. They’ll want to charge you at least 150k per person. Normal prices are around 10-20k if u just walk up the street you can enter for free. The parking costs is around 5k, that’s totally fair. But don’t fall for the guides just follow the official signs and have your own little adventure.

Stunningly beautiful stepped mountain climb to get to this majestic waterfall, even the view on the way of the sweeping jungle can be breathtaking. Be warned that it's an unsafe climb for a decent amount of time. While it has concrete steps the whole way some of it has no railing and the steps are steep enough to challenge even a healthy short person, a friend with a limp barely made it. Couple this with the fact that you will be bombarded by vendors the whole way and the whole thing does feel slightly devalued. Still, the serene beauty at the bottom is unparalleled and the locals are at least respectful of the space enough to allow a little bit of quiet meditation.

Earlier you get here the better!! Arrived at Gitgit waterfall entrance approx 9am!! ( hired scooter ) You will go through scenic windy roads and you will see monkies on the way up!!! No one was there early in the morning!!! Entrance fee is 20,000 no tour guide required!! Very easy walk!! There will be souvenir stalls and kids selling items as other tourist places. No signs outside but spoke to a local and they directed where to go(photos below leading towards entrance)

Entrance fee 20000 IDR. The lady at the counter is really nice. There are lots of shops on the way down to the waterfall. The waterfall itself is beautiful to look at. The water pressure is good. Get close to it and get wet. Love it. The tour guide who works there to look after the tourists, Mr Dede, is such a nice young gentleman. I had a good conversation with him and him being there made my visit to the waterfall even better. A must visit waterfall.

Decent waterfall in Bali. They have clean showers and toilets. Also the path had been well established. The entry fee was 20k per person, if i'm not mistaken. Very enjoyable trip.

Beautiful waterfall! Highly recommended to visit. You can use a guide but it’s not really necessary for this waterfall. Although they can show you other waterfalls in the area as well. One came up to me in the parking area but respected my choice to go by myself. The path is easy, just follow the tourist shops.

It's quite a tall, single waterfall. The waterfall itself is cool, but the surroundings isn't good. The path leading to the waterfall is easy cause it isn't a trekking path, but it's not well-maintained.

Stunning! So magical really worth it. Even though the „hike“ is easy still not recommended for people with difficulties walking. Be sure to see all the waterfalls there as there are several! If you don’t want a guide then just say no and walk there yourself the entry tickets are later and are just 20k

Best waterfall in Bali. Don’t have to take the guide. It’s very easy to reach the waterfall. Just take the entry ticket which costs approx 20k idr and can reach the waterfalls in 10-15 mins walk. Worth going with friends in rainy season

The road to the waterfall is easy and not bumpy from the street until reaching the waterfall is about 350 meters. The waterfall is very beautiful and one of the largest and best waterfalls in Bali. The entry fee with a guide for you is 150,000 rupees per person. There are some popular shops on the way to the waterfall

We stopped here after the monkey forest. It was so delicious. Definitely a highly recommended place. The staff was nice and it wasn’t crowded. How? For 4 of us, cost $69 cnd/ AUD with beer and multiple drinks.

Very beautiful waterfall, far from kuta and ubud, but worth the long trip. This is real nature and a waterfall, yes there are many shops and sales persons ont the way to the waterfall, but when you get there you are in for a great experience. Nature is amazing

The waterfall was beautiful and magnificent. Would highly recommend a raincoat and a good pair of shoes as the path to the waterfall is very slippery.

Spectacular setting! The steps down to the shore are a little slippy so wear sensible footwear. A fabulous 'Kopi' warung with homeground and roasted locally sourced blends served by friendly owners is the perfect cafe for a pit stop

Very scenic. Very beautiful. 30 mins drive from famous Ullun Dhanu Temple and 2 hours from Seminyak. We went there in the evening and found the entire waterfall for ourselves. Parking is easy and quick 15 mins trek to reach waterfall. Bring your clothes and towel and take a dip in this beautiful waterfall.

Very beautiful culture and a fantastic guided tour from the upper side of the falls. We have had the possibility to test some fruit out of the gardens around and see the quiet and natural places without tourists.

The best of the “Gitgit” waterfall. Why people named so many waterfalls all the same name I don’t know, but all you need to know is that this is the best one. Tickets to get in were 20,000 (ticket booth is about 2-3 minutes down the path) and the path maybe takes 10 minutes max to get to the falls from the parking lot/road. Lots of people with stores trying to sell you stuff so you can always buy water, food or even a souvenir. And the falls are very impressive. Prepare to get wet if you go very close for more than a few seconds but it feels good.

The waterfall is incredible. And visiting it during or right after the heavy rain is not a bad idea. The waterfall may be brown, but it is enormous, beautiful, and strong. You don't need a guide for 200-300k. The entrance fee in a normal ticket office is 20k/adult. It takes around 500-600 meters to get to the waterfall. You can pay the standard parking fee for the bike/car regardless of what locals say about the donation for parking. Nobody takes responsibility for your bike, regardless of how much you paid or not. How to get to the waterfall from the parking: You put the car/bike in that parking. You quit the parking. You turn to the left. You go to another side of the road, and there will be the sign "Welcome to Gitgit waterfall" with a pointing arrow. You go there. You walk past the building, and later you pass ruined old shop buildings, and you just go straight. There will be a ticket office within 300 meters. 300 more meters and you will see the waterfall. Offtopic: - That happens in other parts of Bali. You just park a bike and some random locals tell you about the guides and parking fees and others. You don't understand if they are working there, or volunteers, or nobody, or who. - Disclaimer: Nothing bad happened. The worst part for me: they keep saying that we take responsibility for the bike if you pay the parking fee. The problem there is a feeling that they will do something with your bike if you don't. That happened in other places in Bali. Fortunately, not here.

Watch out! It’s a scam! They forced us to take a local “guide” for 150k per person who wasn’t necessary at all. The guide even asked us for a “donation” because “he is doing this for free”. Ridiculous! On the way to the waterfall you will be also forced to buy some overpriced spices from his “‘mother”. It is just a waste of money. To make it even worse, the waterfall wasn’t enjoyable at all because of the rainy season and some constructions on the street. We couldn’t take a swim inside. So sad that we had to experience all of this.

The path is slippery ! On the smooth! (deliberately made so smooth) concrete floor of the path to the waterfall, the moss creates a soft soap slide. Absolutely everyone (tour guide, ticket seller, vendor) warns with a cheerful "hati hati - be careful!" but nobody does anything about it. Arrived happily at the waterfall you can see water falling from top to bottom.

Great waterfall but beware. As with most waterfalls in this area you are likely to be offered an expensive ticket ($20) that includes a guide. This is an option but standard entry is really all you need which is just $2. Most drivers will drop you at the expensive option so just beware if that’s not what you want you do have an option.

Nice waterfall, but not the most beautiful. Also many shops along the path with some annoying vendors that all want to sell the same stuff to you.

Since Sekumpul Waterfall is far and require bit of efforts and struggle , Gitgit Waterfalls was opted. Gitgit Waterfall considered to be most beautiful waterfall on the island. It is easily accessible, found just off the road on the way to the north from Ulun Danu Temple about 20 km. There’s short hiking path  leading past a small ticket booth, rice fields, clove trees, coffee shrubs and a couple of stalls selling drinks, sarongs and souvenirs from where the waterfall can be reached in about 10 minutes.Entrance fees is about 10K

  • 4/5 Dinesh B. 6 years ago on Google
Nice walk up and down the way to get to the waterfall. Its IDR 10,000 per person for entrance and IDR 5,000 for parking. There are some nice spots to take photos. The stairs going down closer to the waterfall are a bit slippery. There is a smaller waterfall at a halfway point where the pressure is low so you can go for a swim...

  • 4/5 Daniel S. 5 years ago on Google
300 meter to walk to the waterfall from the road. The road is easy to walk and small shops are located along the road to the waterfall. The entrance fee is 20 000 rp per person. Its shallow here, so you cant swim. But it is a nice place to get your instagram pictures.

A beautiful, natural wonder and well worth taking the time to visit. A little bit of a trek so you might want to time your visit to avoid the hottest part of the day.

Nice natural area, though the waterfall itself is not too spectacular, it makes for a nice stroll in a green environment, and good photo ops
