It's one of only two private museum of Bihar , that makes it's quite popular.many great personality has visited this place . You need prior appointment about 48 hour before visiting this museum . It's has large collection of modern arts ,stones ,woods and many this from all over the world collected by Diwan and businessman R.K Jalan. I couldn't get appointment prior before but hope you complete all process and visit it ,you may share your experience with me ( class sathi " available on all popular social site").

It is well maintained at patna. Much more crowded in weekend. More rush at ticket counter however online ticket is available with ease. Good place to spend a full day with friend, family or in group. Lawn is also available to have picnic with family/friends.

The Jalan Museum or the Quila House is a private museum located in the capital city of Bihar. With more than 10,000 artifacts and souvenirs up for display in this museum, it is a perfect place if you love to explore historical artifacts. Inside the museum you will find various different artefacts ranging from a dinner service set which belonged to George III, Napoleon’s Four Poster Bed, Marie Antoinette’s Servers Porcelain and various Mughal Silver Filigree Artworks. It was established by Diwan Bahadur and his family members and is seriously massive in size. This is a private museum and you will need permission 48 hours before the day of the visit. The Jalan Family still continues to live in one part of this palatial building. That is why you will need special permission from the authorities before visiting this one of the best places to visit in Patna. Location: Quila Rd, Hajiganj, Patna, Bihar 800008. Best time to visit: August to October and March to April.

Jalan Museum is located near the banks of River Ganges. Constructed in the year 1919, the museum reflects the extraordinary effects taken byDiwan Bahadur Radha Krishna Jalanwho was behind its construction and the collections. Jalan had acquired a part of Quila Fort, captivated by its location. The building, which was damaged in an earthquake in 1934, was transformed into a beautiful museum. The collections in the museum sum up to nearly 10000 objects from various parts of the world.

The story of this museum began in 1541, when Sher Shah Suri – who briefly occupied the imperial throne at Delhi – revived the ancient town of Patliputra and built a fort on the south bank of the Ganga. This is a rare private museum by a marwari business family. Mr RK Jalan their ancestor started collecting artifacts through purchase in India and later all over Europe and Asia.

Jalan Museum is one of the most well-curated private museums in the country, with undated fossils to medieval jade. Prior appointment is a must. The most interesting pieces were the walking stick with a concealed revolver, the Gong that makes the sound of OM and beautiful ivory pieces. Must visit place in Bihar.
