Considered to be the birthplace of Lord Hanuman this hill is very pious and houses a Lord Hanuman Temple. The name of the Anjanadri Hills comes from his mother Anjana. There are 575 steep steps leading to the temple. The parking area below is quite spacious and has areas for two - wheeler and four wheelers without any parking fees. It is better to keep your footwear for a minimal charge of Rs 3 only, wash your foot, collect Puja stuff and proceed uphill as there is no stall or shoe counter on the top. If you wish to stay longer carry eatables and water, but be cautious as monkeys can give you a harrowing time. Laddoos are available at the counter inside the temple at Rs 50 for 2 pieces. The surroundings are very scenic and add to the beauty of the place.

Anjanadri Hill - The Birthplace of Hanuman Located in the Koppal district, close to Anegundi across River Tungabhadra from Hampi, Anjanadri Hills is believed to be the birthplace of the Hindu lord Hanuman. Born to Anjana, lord Hanuman was also called Anjaneya and hence the hill is called Anjanadri hills, believed to be his birthplace. The panoramic views of the mesmerising landscapes, the astonishing sunset views and the scenic views of the Tungabhadra River flowing between the mountains and rocks will take away all your strain or fatigue if at all you have any. You can also view the Hampi ruins and the other majestic hills in the neighbourhood. The spectacular views from the hilltop of the paddy fields, coconut plantations, the Rocky Mountains on one side and the Tungabhadra on the other, are worth the climb. These are the other perks of climbing the hill apart from visiting the essence of the temple, which is the birthplace of the deity. - The temple has a rock carved Hanuman statue. - There's a Stone which has been preserved in this temple. It has been claimed to be a part of the Rama Setu, built by Lord Ram and his vanara army, to reach Lanka to rescue Sita. Placed in a water tank, and still floating. It has been believed that Swamiji of this temple brought it from Dhanushkodi. - One can feel the vibe when at Anjanadri Hill. Watching the sunrise and sunset in this hill is truly mesmerizing.

It’s surely a must visit place. Which is close to Hampi. This place is seen as a birth place of Hanuman. Also called as Kishkinda. It’s a hill that is easy to climb and there is a good parking space near the hill. It’s surely amazing to climb in the morning. The temple is pretty spacious on the top.

There are 575 steps to reach the top of the anjanadri hill. Most of the steps have the shelter and one can sit and take breath on the way. On the top of the hill, one can drink free water. It is suggested to carry a water bottle. The place is divine and sacred. Blessed to having visited the birth place of lord Hanuman.

Start of the climb is very easy. Eventually it gets tougher especially if one is not fit enough, even though steps are there. But its totally worth. Enjoying fresh air and marvellous views of boulder landscape. The view from the top is mesmerizing and refreshing. Climbing up early in the morning, or late in the evening is good. The temple is just ordinary but what's stunning is the view from the hill at sunset.

It is said to be the birth place of lord Hanuman πŸ™πŸ» there is the temple located on top of the Hill. To reach there you have to climb 570 stairs which are made by the authorities for easy of access. At the foot of hill many local shops are there to buy something as memory. The shopkeepers are also very nice and give reasonable prices. Must visit as it is easy to climb anyone can go.

It was beautiful once we reached at the top. there were a lot of steps to climb, around 575 steps... Thankfully there are break points during the climb where you can sit and rest if you are tired. It gets a little difficult when you are almost near the top. There are also many monkeys around, but they don't bother you unless you bother them. Overall it was quite a climb, but the view from top was worth and the temple was nice.

As per local folklore this hill is birth place of Shri Hanuman. Close to 500 stone steps for reaching the top. Mostly easy-to-climb but some of the steps are steep, some high and narrow. However, it's best that people with physical fitness issues do not try the climb or try it with lot of regular rests by sitting next to the steps. The sunrise from its peak has a very beautiful view, so best time to climb is 5 am so that one reaches the top to catch a glimpse of sunrise

Must visit if you are in Hampi. Start the climb before 7am to avoid sun and crowd. Take rest whenever needed while climbing. The temple though small attracts large crowds. Magnificent view from the top.The monkeys are not aggressive. You have to feel the experience.

Exciting, thrilling experience to climb the steps. Enjoyed driving to the location. Surrounded by green paddy fields. Do explore rear side steps to climb down. Must visit place. Parking facility needs improvement. Shops at the entrance are disappointing. Some police or security personnel deployment may give confidence to ladies and kids. Since Government is funding development of infrastructure, coming years May see improved facilities.

Considered the birth place of Hanuman, Anjanadri hill is best visited around sunset. There's a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman at the top. There are steps for most of the route on the climb up. (Around 575 steps.) Sunset views are amazing, you can see the Tungabhadra river and nearby areas from the hill. Keep your belongings safe from monkeys :)

It definitely was a climb but definitely achievable. The view from the top was brilliant. The only thing that was scary about the whole thing were the monkeys. They seemed a bit aggressive when they see food probably because of all the people feeding them.

After a trek of 575 steps (which feels much more than that by the time you reach) the picturesque view from atop is all worth it. An advice would be to not leave your shoes on a stand, especially if you have foot pain. The sunset here is mesmerizing, so make sure you reach here by 5pm as it gets dark by 6:30pm.

This is a historical place related to Ramayana. Purana says lord Ramabhakth Hanuman was born in this place. There is one small temple of lord Hanuman on the top of Anjanadri Hills. There are around 575 steps to climb the hills. We took just 17 mins to climb the hills. (A moderate trekking) A lot of Monkeys are there in the pathway.

This is the birthplace of Shree Pavan putra Hanuman ji. The monkey god in Hinduism. The climb is 575 steps to the temple. There are a lot of monkeys on the way. Once you complete the climb, you can feel the fresh air and the great hills at the top. You can also see the Shree Vijaya Vittala Temple and the Shree Virupaksha Temple across the Tungbhadra River. The temple also has a floating stone kept as an example of the Ram Setu. There were many foreigners too who were climbing the hill barefoot.

I visited this place in the evening although it was sunny but the shed over the stairs will not let you feel the heat. The climb might be a little tiring but there are enough benches after few intervals on which you can take rest. On reaching the top you might sense unique sense of peace if you are a spiritual person. Alongside the temple, you have the sunset point where you can sit for a while and start the decent.

according to the place, its believed that lord Hanuman was born in this hill and hence the name. The place is very beautiful from the top and you could see Hampi from that distance. There is paid parking available. There are monkeys around the place, hence not wise to carry any eatables in hand. It would be good to carry water bottle while climbing the steps. There are lot of shops near by where you get snacks etc.
