Its a famous place where migrant birds like spot billed pelicans and painted storks come here and lay eggs after the chicks grow up and are ready to fly, they make their way back. Government has built an watch tower from where one can watch them. They are human friendly. Villagers there too take a lot of care eventhough there is lot of stinct with the bird droppings. They are happy to show the birds to visitors and bird lovers.

Hundreds of birds visit here every year. and the same people like to visit this place to see those long beak siberian pelican birds. Government should take some steps for this tourist place.. Have to provide some facilities so that this place can be developed .

Excellent example of community-based conservation. Needs a few tourist amenities to make it more inviting. The birds are amazing. Great educational experience for kids and adults alike. The watch tower provides excellent views of parents feeding young chicks. The local caretaker Visweseara Rao is a great resource.
