Love this place and it has so much to offer. Plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables to chose from. Clothes and souvenirs are here also. Has plenty of items you need and some you don’t. Friendly vendors and guests. Great location in the city.

Nice market in the heart of Tel Aviv. Very lively and crowded and plenty of choices to eat local food or to have a drink. There is also a good variety of cloth section. A must see place if you go to Tel Aviv.

If you like traditional shopping then this is a place that you will like. Most of owners/sellers are nice! There are lots of local seasonal specialties, a lots of Middle East popular sweets and spices. There are many small restaurants with Middle Eastern popular food, Thailand, Mexican and Asian food shops ... Give 4 ⭐ because the walking street small and very old nobody fix it, parking lots always busy (waste a lots time for parking)

A market is marked all over the world. Fresh on the spot juice from a variety of fruits. Market with sellers trying to get you to pay overprice for copy products like Nike, puma, Hugo Boss etc. Lots of cheap souvenirs from Israel. Some sellers can be very invasive Most prices can be dropped with a little bit of bargaining, Most shops sell the same at all different prices. Plenty of Mediterranean food which is delicious.

Unique place to visit when in Tel Aviv for sure. Options of spices, fruits and souvenirs to buy. Messy, crowded, but just as a good market is.

Everything you need local you can get here :) we had good food did some shopping(sweets, fashion jewelry etc). Carry cash, they do have ATMs but some did not work. It was cold and raining but still we enjoyed and did not miss anything/shop.

Different great 👍🏻 sellers who wants to sell you something but still professional. Some of them not really. Definitely if you are a girl, guys would like to speak with you. Don’t hesitate to try everything and if you like you buy. To negotiate is Normal. Also kids negotiate

The Carmel Market (the Shuk HaCarmel) is the largest market – or shuk – in Tel Aviv. It’s a vibrant marketplace where traders sell everything from clothing and spices, to fruit and electronics. Visiting the Carmel Market is a fascinating thing to do in Tel Aviv. The bustling atmosphere, lively colors, and reputation as the largest shuk in Tel Aviv, all combine to make the Carmel Market a favorite.

So I had some time to kill in the morning before my flight home so I joined friends for a walk through this area and had a great time seeing all the stands from candy to house hold items. You can do all your shopping here. The sights, sounds and smell of bread and cooking is wonderful.

What can you say about the old city? There is shopping and shopping and shopping and shopping and shopping. You need to be cognizant of pricing as the shop owners do try to take advantage, especially if you’re American. If you’re looking for souvenirs, Judaica, all types of jewelry, pottery, fabrics, and more, you’ve come to the right place. Do some shopping around to understand the culture and pricing. It is very safe and you just need to be aware of your surroundings as you should be any time you travel. The mix of cultures between Jews and Arabs and Christians is lovely to see.

We loved this, amazing experience!! Very busy market with food and everything you need! We bought a very yummy pastry filled with cream - wow!! If the market is too busy, you can always go to some of the side streets for small sit down cafés.

Great place to visit for the freshest fruit, bagels, spices, sweets (Halva and Baklava), fish, freshly squeezed/cut fruit, souvenirs. The colours are just spectacular. Do not miss the Druze pita at the bottom end of the market - it’s a taste you will never forget. You can also dine in the offshoot restaurants within the market.. I recommend the Shakshuka.

A very lively loud and very crowded market where one can find nearly anything, esp, food, spices, clothes, leather goods (incl. well made fake luxury brands). Fresh meat and fish are sold too, sometimes connected to a small eatery (seated or standing). Eateries are very crowded, loud and ventilators are blowing you away or provide fresh air (depending on how one can appreciate such kind of air blowing). If one appreciates a little less noise and crowd I can advise to take a side street and find a cosy place to eat or drink.

Very interesting market in the hearth of Tel Aviv Yafo, nevertheless very crowded. Also be careful with your stuff. Definitely take a sun hat even if it half covered there, the sun is still coming through

Carmel Market, one of the most colorful and exciting places in Tel Aviv. Not only fruits, vegetables and meats, but also clothes, children's clothes, shoes, glasses, accessories, toys etc.. Full of small restaurants, food stalls, everything is bustling, colorful and fun. Do not miss a visit to it.

A real Tel Aviv experience! Sights, smells, sounds, all smushed together! Be prepared for the most crowded you've ever been, and keep your hands on your valuables - just in case.

Walked through it during weekday morning hours (~09:30), quite, not all shops are open, and only local people doing groceries.

The market itself is not very different from other markets. It's just a little bigger. The same products and souvenirs. The same smells and puddles. Another thing is to get there on the day the hand-maders come. This is already more interesting, and for tourists, for example, I advise to go there on such a day. Then there you can see, and maybe buy, some interesting hand-made souvenirs. But be prepared for the fact that after a long and possibly interesting story about how it was all done, you will have to pay a high price. You can try to bargain. In this country, bargaining is a lot where people love. Not everywhere, of course, but in many places. We caught them on Tuesday. From morning to about 17:00.

If you have never been to a market then this might be interesting to you. Otherwise don’t bother. They sell Chinese junk and old useless things. No artisan or nice things, no special food. Everything is in the last form of decay, very dirty, everything is broken and disgusting.

It's always a fun and memorable shopping trip through the Carmel market. We bought a bunch of souvenirs to take home as gifts for our family and friends. Kitchen goods, clothing, jewelry, art, fresh produce, aromatic spices, baked goods and so much more sold here. Weekdays are far less crowded than Fridays which makes for a more pleasant experience.

Loads of stalls with a variety of things for sale. A lot of small trinkets but also loads of fruit and sweet stalls. A nice place to go for a walk in the afternoon. We found a great restaurant behind some of the stalls - keep your eyes peeled for these little hidden treats!

There is nothing quite like going down the narrow Bazaar and hearing music, yelling, and bartering. This is a great place to get souvenirs, food, or anything else you might need. Just make sure to bring cash!

Not the most cosmopolitan or the most modern of the outdoor markets. But the Farmer's Market in Tel-Aviv, (Shuk Ha Carmel) brings back so many memories and is one of my favorite places. If I lived here, this is where I'd shop for my daily needs. Love the hustle and bustle, the elbowing to get through and the chants from the sellers calling for customers. The freshest fruits, vegetables, cheeses and fish so fresh, you choose the live ones from a tank. Yum! ❤️😋

Very lively place, and great vendors. Even if you don't need to buy anything, it's a great experience to just walk through the market and experience the different smells from all the food vendors and just look around and absorb the Israeli culture.

Was on my way to Jerusalem beach and stumbled by this market! Was lovely to go past it and acknowledge this place to possibly come by again in the future! Filled with hundred of scents flavours clothes accessories toys and all you need! Beautiful place to meet people to shop and to wonder! Would definitely actually stop by here and wonder the shops rather than be on my way to somewhere else on another day I'm free!

Nice market with different merchandise like food, clothes, electronics and more with pretty cheap prices. In addition, you can also bargin to further reduce the price. Try to walk away after showing interest and most probably you will get a better offer. The minus is that the place a little bit smelly and crowded but i guess its in all the open markets. Enjoy guys, and please like the review if you can.

A wide variety of stalls selling fresh fruits, souvenirs, clothing, pastries, baklava etc. Be careful about prices, as some vendors tried to overcharge us, or they add a few extras and charge you a higher price.

  • 1/5 Rai H. 2 years ago on Google
As a visitor, I am disappointed by the honesty of some merchants. I recommend to negotiate the price there until you find it reasonable yourself. Surprising how some sellers try to blatantly get 3 times more than what their displayed price is. They think people can't read numbers. Those who pay just don't want to go back or waste time for some fruits

The Carmel Market is a must see/must visit place on your trip to Tel Aviv. Wander down it’s winding streets to find stalls filled with fresh fruits and vegetables, bakeries with countless types of bread and souvenir finds to bring home to your friends and loved ones. You can also find many places to sample street food throughout. Choose from jewelry, clothing, knickknacks, Judaica, and other goods in many of the stores. And if you don’t feel like shopping or eating, this is a great place to take in all the sights and sounds.

I visited the Carmel Market on a Friday afternoon just before Shabbat and the place was very crowded, so not sure whether it is quieter at other times. There are hundreds of stalls selling from fresh products to counterfeit brands and tourist souvenirs. It is still a must see in Tel Aviv!
