Not a big fan of falafel, but that’s probably the best one in Tel Aviv. Simple yet delicious menu with all-times Israeli favorites- hummus, falafel, Israeli salad. Both plate and pita serving options are available. Lunch dishes are huge, so it’s ok to share it for two. Pretty busy during lunch hours

There's always a queue here every time I pass by. So finally on a late Sunday night, there was a short wait. It's a clean venue (compared to other falafel institutions) and serves up some of the best traditional local street foods I've had. There are pita and plate versions so I always prefer the latter. Spices are not short in variety and when combined altogether, it's to die for. Will come back again and again.

I fully expected to say it was good but overpriced. However, after seeing the selection and the amount of food and tasting it it is simply an amazing Tel Aviv value. The salad was devine. So fresh and good. The Shawarma was just magic. The rice with beans, wow, so good. The falafel is simply to die for. Pita it so fresh, fluffy and soft. The tahini is just incredible. I was here 3 years ago and since than this place that was just very good became one of my top Tel Aviv food destinations. Well done friend, do not change a thing.

My friend suggested me to go to HaKosem and i did not regret it. If you are looking for authentic falafel and hummus then do visit here once. I liked the taste of the falafel and hummus here. If anyone is looking for vegetarian food then try this.

Awesome food, in prices which range from low to medium. I tried both the Falafel and the Hummus with special meat (despite of the recommendations about Burika or Shawarma here, which I'll try in the future). Both were exceptionally tasty. Try the Falafel without Pita or Laffa. It will taste best without any additions. The only dessert here, Blancmange (Malabi), is one of the best Blancmanges I've ever tasted. The place is very crowded and sometimes you won't have a place to seat. 4.5/5

Everytime I'm in Israel, this is the #1 place I go to for street food. Their Falafel and Sabich are out of this world!! You also will likely get to munch on falafel balls while waiting in line. It is a bit on the pricey side, but it's definitely worth it.

Very crowded and popular. But honestly maybe it's me but I don't get it. The food is basic and unimaginative. Maybe that's what people want. They want what they remember. For me though it's a nice place to see and to watch the chef's and the customers and the people walking by. That was the best part :. Hanging with people I know and like.

Now I ikniw why this is ranked #1 in Tel Aviv for falafel. You place your order, pay an get an order slip. Step up to the counter and hand one of the five or six people your slip, then watch your food bring prepared. We had the falafel that started with three falafel balls on the bottom, various sauces, tahini, hummus, salads, three more falafel and more tahini and amba which is mango sauce. Forgot the fried eggplant in the pita. They also have gluten free pita.

I find no other shawarma dish as satisfying and full, partly due to the excellent eggplant topping. Regardless, I'm a customer for years and the prices have steepened to a point that is hard for me to accept. It demoted the place to a location in which I sometimes endulge, in contrast to the Friday lunch ritual it once was.

I really didn't know shawarma could be this good. Expand your mind and horizons with this perspective altering delight.

The hummus is pretty decent, but watery and the portion size is really small. The sides (falafel and eggplant) are a nice addition, but I'd rather have a bigger main dish. They also don't offer refills like many other hummus places. The price is fair, for the hummus dishes but too steep for most other dishes, compared to other joints in the area. Overall you're paying for the location (the middle of Tel-Aviv) more than you do for the quality of the food.

Best possible falafel and humus: delicious, super tasty and always a good sign: lot of locals eat here. You can even feel the taste only from good it smells staying in the queue - yes, usually jt will be a small queue, but it moves fast and you even get some falafel samples on the way. Portions are huge, so I recommend getting the pita one ( which is smaller ) if you’re not really really hungry. I got falafel and humus - being hungry ( only meal of the day ) and I could finish only half. You order at the counter and everything is made in front of you, fresh. Humus will come after 1-2 minutes and you get a ringer to inform you it’s time to check the counter Can also get sauces and pickles salad free of charge from the right side. Definitely recommend, I had the most amazing arabic food ( falafel or humus ) so you must check it out.

Be careful if you use self service kiosk. We tried to make an order twice and both times card, issued in Europe, was refused. But in reality money was taken both times. Tried to call, but employees didn't understand the problem described in English, so had to go to the bank to return the money.

Overrated big time. Their Hummus is the worst industrial one. You can get much better one in any supermarket.. could not eat it. Their pita is the smallest you can find in Tel Aviv. The falafel is okay, but had better ones from many other places. OVERRATED!

The tourist sites are right about this one! I go every Friday with my family. Really excellent Israeli street food, fantastic service, and super consistent. Do not skip!!

Very busy running place while the taste is guaranteed. Can see lots of people queued up but still able to have a table. Table also can be shared by asking if you dont have separate table. shame that I couldn't read their text so just verbally ordered falafel and hummus on plate. Falafel comes with dip fried eggplant, yummy!!! Hummus is big enough portion for Single adult. Can share as a snack if you want. I would say simple and nice place. Don't expect the high quality service. I don't mean they are not good. I mean it is awkward to.

The food was great, I had a shawarma wrap with fresh fried eggplant salads and chicken. A weird thing that they do is to cut the wrap in half I wasn't expecting it, when they prepare it you should ask them to not to cut it or be ready to get messy. Because by the end of the wrap I had oil on my hands face and clothes everywhere.

This is a fast food joint that gets pretty crowded. I had a felafel (in a fluffy pita) with a dash of all the salads they had to offer and enjoyed it thoughly.

  • 5/5 Yoel K. 10 months ago on Google
Quite possibly the best shawarma I've ever had. It was full of crispy spiced meat, salads and sauces are abundant and many are self serve. They're missing out not selling beer the, but it's available at the market down the block.

Very tasty! They say "the best Shawarma in Tel Aviv". I haven't tried too many yet, but the best so far.

Service could have been great if all staff understood how to accommodate allergies. Cleaning the serving utensils helps, but you can't wear the same gloves that were touching all the things with gluten.

Best falafel in Tel Aviv, maybe even Israel. Worthy of a Michelin. They also have incredible gluten free pita.

Very good food. Simple place. You order at the counter and then wait for a table . The staff is very helpful. Full meal is about 80 nis with a beer.

Delicious Humus, Falafel and Shawarma. Humus comes with Pittas, olives and fried eggplant (must try!). Very quick service. It was crowded so we took our food to a nearby bench - but seats are usually available!

A well know place in Tel aviv. Famous for its Falafel but I usually take the Sawarma wrap. Very nice dish, not cheap for a Sawarma.

  • 5/5 Shailesh S. 1 year ago on Google
I believe this is how falafal must be ideally cooked and served. There are many variations in taste available in Tel Aviv so one need to find best suit for him. This was best for me. You can customise it to your taste. People who like spicy should tell them to make it spicy or you can take chilli paste, Jalapeno separately. Schwarma too is good but have seen variation of taste and tenderness of chicken.

Loved the intentionally “crispy” shawarma plate. Lots of food, enough for two people. Not as fresh or flavorful as some other places, but the price is reasonable compared to the amount of food.

  • 5/5 Jan A. 1 year ago on Google
For me the best Falafel in town. Amazingly crispy and very tasty. Also the glutenfree pita was better than the normal one, as it wasn't so soft.

  • 5/5 Rabiah R. 5 years ago on Google
Hands-down the best falafel I have ever tasted! It is always super busy, but they hand out free falafel balls while you wait - so who's complaining!? HaKosem is an absolute must-visit if you are in Tel Aviv. Everything on the menu is amazing and delicious. It is usually crowded and noisy, difficult to find seating. The atmosphere is bustling and energised. I suggest to go on an empty stomach and with friends so that you can try a variety of items on the menu.

  • 5/5 Alejandro C. 2 years ago on Google
The food was delicious! The only problem was that there is always an attendant around you cleaning and making the place look tidying. I guess it is a good thing but they made me feel they wanted me to hurry up and go away as soon as possible. But probably it's just me.

    Great falafel, a bit pricey

  • 5/5 Bunny A. 2 years ago on Google
Delicious local favorites- felafel, shawarma. Usually a line down the block but they work very quickly and not a long wait. Staff are very helpful and generous.

  • 5/5 Doron A. 2 years ago on Google
Always packed and with a serious line for a good reason. The line is precise and each dish is on point. Street food meets Michelin standards.

  • 5/5 Eyal V. 2 years ago on Google
The best Falafel and Sabiech Pita's in town! Above the standard for just fast food, have great vibes with a miled electro music in the backgroud 🤩

  • 5/5 Lia M. 2 years ago on Google
Perfect, as usual. The food is the best in town, the service is efficient and quick, the place is clean and the price is more than just. Love this Magician!

  • 5/5 leib g. 2 years ago on Google
What makes this place magic? One of the cleanest restaurants in the country serves up their own take on shawarma. While there are a few worthy contenders for best shawarma in the city center this one has a unique and amazing hatzil. Eggplant cut like a big juicy steak lends a nice contrast to genrrous piles of hot seared flesh, fresh zhug and all the rest. The plate is the perfect dish for the mono mealers out there. Shkoyach

This establishment serves great falafel, and they even achieved the unbelievable technological breakthrough where their pita does not tear or fall apart when you stuff them with all the goodies. Don't miss the fried eggplant they offer with the falafel.

👍 It’s been a few years since my last visit and the place grew a lot and is now a huge restaurant right on the port of Jaffa. The design is very impressive too. We arrived just before 1pm and had plenty of room, despite the fact that we did not have an order. Right after we sat down, the staff brought...
