So this is the first restaurant I get to eat in Tel Aviv, Israel and they left a really good impression on me and the group I was with from Ghana. Immediately we got to the entrance of the restaurant the manager immediately arranged for a table for us and were quickly ushered into our seats! In less than 5 minutes the table started getting flooded with food, cutlery, juice and the waiters were really really smart. Very nice waiters, manager and environment. The food is totally amazing especially the “felafel”, was so good I had to take the rest back to my hotel 😛🤣. And the price was good value for money considering Tel Aviv is expensive. I’d recommend it any day, anytime you’re in Israel and find yourself in Tel Aviv. And oh, there’s that extra vibe, the sun sets in I really sweet manner in the evenings, you get to take amazing sunset 🌅photos.

The restaurant is a well-known legendary place in Israel. The spacious spot, set on the Jaffa port, overlooks the sea. It’s a whole experience. They will serve you a pitcher of freshly squeezed lemonade and 22 (yes, 22!) small tasting plates upon sitting alongside freshly made hummus and Arabic bread straight from the oven! They will serve all these and is included in your bill whether you like it or not so you might as well try them all. Dessert and coffee are included in your bill as well.

Im really going to enjoy writing this review, as it's a one off imho. First, bad points, the place is a hole, plastic tables and chairs, not welcoming, quite dirty, impersonable - hurded in an rushed through to get you out. It's open Friday night, so is very busy then, which is why we reserved a table - needn't have bothered- they just ignored that and sent us to the back of the queue. We eventually got sat and presented with the most ridiculous array of meze dishes, maybe 25 or so, Inc bread and a jug of sweet lemon drink. Then.. we were given the menu. Nobody explained any if this to us - and they won't to you, so here's how it works. The massive salad meze is served to everyone (you'll get the same size and amounts if you're alone as you will for 4 people - but it'll keep getting replenished if it runs out - which it won't.. ever. If you choose any main course, then the meze is free, otherwise it's 60sheks per person without a main. My menu was whipped out of my hand before id even looked at it, but we ordered the sea bass and a lamb kebab (even though I was told it was beef - it was fairly l definitely lamb). Then we were asked if we didn't mind moving tables, and I don't mean moving to another table, i mean, picking the table - food and all - up and pushing into a corner. We did that too. I wouldn't describe any of the food to be absolutely top notch, but I would say that it's fantastic for the type of food and place. The sea bass was fresh and very well cooked, and the kebab (which I only ordered on principle) was excellent. Id say half the meze dishes were fab, basic fresh and perfectly oversized, the other half were merely very good - mostly no frills - but solid performers. Stuffed isn't a strong enough word, and I really had to restrain myself, as im a fat pig. We even took a container full home with us, no qualms, no hesitation (some reviews have mentioned not being able to do so, but we did without fuss). A few fried honey puffy balls (whatever they were) later, and coffee too - all part of the freebies - enough was enough. Finally.. the bill.. different reviews quote different prices, and I was expecting some snag or catch.. but no.. kebab was 84, sea bass was 119 - total 203sheks before tip, about £50. Nothing else is charged. So in essence, it's a 3 star place, the food quantity takes it to a 4, the quality goes up to beyond a 5, therefore i really want to give this magic hell hole a 6.. imagine if they sorted out the negatives.. they'd be a 7/5 stars phenomena. Well done guys, and shame on you at the same time... Massively massively recommended

Do yourself a favor a visit this amazing place! The entry course is a variety of extremely delicious different flavors. At the time, if you ordered two main dishes you got the entry for free, but after the amount of food one main dish for two is more than enough. Would recommend it with closed eyes. Also the location of the restaurant is beautiful to go for a relaxed walk afterwards

I got to the place around 18:30. First and most important the parking lot... there was two areas to park my vehicle.. each area got about ten free parking lots and it is all front the restaurant. So.. the parking was easy and close to the restaurant... if you need anything from the car.. you can easily get it. I had a baby in a cart, and there was a way to enter the restaurant with the cart without having trouble with the stairs. Inside ... everything was good and we got a clean table. The waiters were fast and gentle. We ordered the food and we received the salads right away, and the waiters refill anything you request. The main dishes were perfect and delicious...no problem with the food at all.

A fascinating restaurant due to its simplicity (you can find there the authentic air of a Greek tavern located on an island) but also its exceptional menu, offered by friendly and very fast hosts. The mezze was huge (impossible to eat everything, although everything is very tasty) and the seafood offered was very fresh and excellently cooked. If you add to all this a beautiful view (the restaurant is right on the seashore in Jaffa), the time spent there will undoubtedly be unforgettable.

This is one of our favorite restaurants and we keep coming back. It has a typical Mediterranean menu, rich with various fish and seafood, not cheap but neither exaggerated prices. The service is not just great, it is virtuous! In spite of constant load of customers, there is no way we will be forgotten or made to wait longer than necessary.

If you're in Jaffa, super hungry, and in the mood for good seafood, this is the spot! The appetizer round itself will knock you out, so pace yourself! The fish is good, especially the trout. Lovely atmosphere and location as well. Enjoy!

Awesome place. A lot of variety of food. And the salad is endless. One should go with more than one person to finish it all. You can get lobster also.

Excellent place. There’s another dish coming along with your order. It’s pita bread, lemonade and a never ending compilation of salads. Once you finish any of them, the waiter brings another one. The main dish - pasta with seafood is so fresh, bug and very tasty.

We came to this amazing place. The service was exceptionally fast. As soon as we sat down we got the Pita and numerous salads. They refill salads as soon as they notice you finished something. The main dish was excellent also. At the end you get tea or coffee and some mini donuts filled with honey. Easy parking.

Gorgeous food with the typical Israeli hospitality with generous portions of delicious fresh flatbread with many dips and sales, a welcome drink and even a free mini dessert. My only complaint is they don't serve alcohol, a cold glass of wine is a must for me with a meal like this or it just isn't the same. Still 5/5 though! Oh...and the eggplant dish is out of this world!!

The food served here is really good, I ordered the home made kebab meat which I was very happy with. About 20 or so mezze plates arrived at the table with many middle eastern dips and side dishes plus flat breads. For the first time visitor /traveller a bit of cautionary advice if allergic or dislike cats to consider eating elsewhere as there are at least 6+ cats moving around the outdoor space hoping for food. Table service was entertaining to be part of, the staff were very hospitable with a dash of dry sense of humor thrown in.

Good restaurant, offering a wide variety of seafood and Arab specialities. They offer you a lot of different mezze as starters for free and despite, you get a very good portion for what you ordered, and at a very reasonable price! Very efficient staff, good food, what else can you ask for?

Everything was absolutely perfect! Service was wonderful, fast and friendly! The salads, limonana, and lafa bread spread we were welcomed with was incredible. And the fish our table enjoyed was delicious. Highly recommend this location and cannot wait to be back on our next visit to Israel.

A recommended restaurant from locals and tourists. For those that don't understand the "free" part: there is a minimum payment of 60ils per person required for everyone that doesn't order a main dish. Meaning if you only drink two beers, for two people you will pay 2 beers +2*60ILS. We ordered one main dish and paid it + 60ILS + the drinks we had. It is described in the menu. The staff are very kind and always attend to your needs. You will be asked for a free desert if you didn't choose one, which is also very kind. Basically if you can eat a lot - this is the place 😄 We barely managed to try each of those. Didn't particularly like everything of course. But it's interesting and has a good sea view.

Huge portions and gave us lots and lots of never ending plates! I loved the falafels. They also gave us a mint tea and a sweet dessert to end the meal.

I liked to dine at The Old Man and the Sea in Jaffa. The unlimited starters, (20 tiny salad bowls) were really good and filling. In addition we ordered calamari and sea bass! The location is gorg right by the beach.

First let's talk about the food as that's the main reason we're there anyway. After being seated down, we were served with never ending salads. Every kind of salad you can imagine. Sweet, spicy, salty, green, eggplant and many many more than I can count. We ordered seafood platter and fried sea bass. They were so fresh! Seems like they were harvested that same day! The atmosphere was amazing. Seems every table including us went there to celebrate. A birthday song was played respectively for each celebrant. We ended our meal with the much needed refreshing mint tea

By far **The BEST restaurant in Tel Aviv**. Since I Discovered this Place we have been eating Here every night. I Was quite disapointed of the Other places and recommendations in tel aviv: all of them were just sooooo expensive and Not tasty at all.... By the old man and the sea you have food made with love. Try the Grilled fish - ansolutelly DELICIOUS. Bread Comes fresh and warm. Salads are very good. Everytime. 100 points for the entire crew!! A team that works together and makes everything go so smooth! They are THE BEST: super friendly, kind, super attentive - we celebrate a Birthday there and it was just Perfect :D Place is clean and big enough - you always will have a Table and it is right in front of the marine/port. Amazing view. Kitchen is kind of open so you can see they preparing food. Coffee of tea with tinny sweets in the end included. They deliver the Same high Standard every time. Price is fair and i regret not finding the place sooner. A must go in tel aviv for Sure.

A bit pricey, but amazing service and the amount of salads they give you is really nice. The homemade bread is extremely good as was the lemonade with mint.

Just like the Hemingway novel, this restaurant has a kind of seaside feel too it seeing that it's right in the heart of Jaffa. This was the BEST meal I had in Tel Aviv by far and I mean a light year! It took me 2 hours to eat through this whole meal and it was delicious and nutritious. I got to enjoy the beautiful sunny weather from the shade in one of my final days in Israel back in August of 2022. The surrounding neighbourhood is just gorgeous given the old buildings and it's within walking distance from the beaches. The upstairs washroom is really nice to go up to as well. I love the decor too. The restaurant's air-conditioned and has an upscale look to it without being overly expensive. I was visiting friends in Israel so I'll probably be back here one day.

Great local and sea dishes as well as different meat options, impressively fast service, nice ambience. The prices are higher but generally it is hard to find cheap dinning in Israel even if you eat some garbage food. So defo worth a visit.

I absolutely love this place. Warm and inviting more importantly amazing delicious food. Not a bad bite the entire meal. From the moment of seating they showered us with tens of amazing salads. I tasted everyone of them and seriously enjoyed ever single one. The bread is phenomenal because it baked with a perfect balance of char. The lamb chops and skewers and fish dishes are seasoned and cooked perfectly. It's very rare I give establishments 5s across the board but the folks deserve it. Thank you to the staff. It was a wonderful experience and very delicious meal. I highly recommend it and I will also be returning before the end of my trip. That is a promise!

Overall a good place to eat. You start the meal with 20-30 small eastern style tapas salads (humus, eggplant, tahini, pickles, cabbage and many more). When you're full the real food (meat, fish, etc...) ;) The meat and fish are good but not amazing, but the tons of salads make this place worth coming back to.

Amazing food, nice staff and I assure you... You will not leave this place hungry. There was nothing among the 23 starters that didn't taste amazing and also the main course was great. All for 120 ils is almost not to beat.

Enormous selection of fresh and tasty salads, including Laffas and Hummus, with unlimited refill. The main courses are nice too, although you don't have to order them and can settle with a "Salads meal". Quick and attentive service.

DON'T HESITATE... best restaurant I've ever been to in any country! Wow the food is so fresh. I am a fisherman and this was very very fresh fish! Great chicken and lamb too and the portions are HUGE! As we all know the service can make or break your dining experience. Service was phenomenal, such a wonderful experience to see fast and amazing team work, obviously great management! Our waiter was William, wonderful and so gracious and friendly! GO GO GO :) Oh and very clean!

👍 It’s been a few years since my last visit and the place grew a lot and is now a huge restaurant right on the port of Jaffa. The design is very impressive too. We arrived just before 1pm and had plenty of room, despite the fact that we did not have an order. Right after we sat down, the staff brought...
